She doesn't have a legit RB1 and no top tier QB. That team would get eaten alive.Maybe I just like the challenge.
i think Luck is a very solid qb(certainly wouldnt pick him first though), and you have Flacco as trade bait. Hopefully youd be able to trade him for a good rb.

Flacco and Luck are back up FF QB's.

The top FF QB's are (not in any particular order) Brady, Rodgers Brees, Peyton, RG III, Cam Newton, Romo, Kaepernick, Stafford, (maybe this year) Carson Palmer, Ryan.

Rivers, Cutler, Flacco, Shaub are situational type players. I'm sure I'm forgetting someone but generally if you are stuck outside those first 9 or 10, you are NOT winning a FF league.

He was great a while ago but his FF impact is far less now that Foster is so much a part of the offense.

Right, that's why I want a real bike. They just cost a lot. Might even be good for traveling in Staten Island.

Wait...how much does a stationary bike cost?

Probably the same price as a real bike or whatever.

Problem is, I could be watching TV with a stationary bike OR I enjoy the nice weather/peace and serenity with a real bike.

Have to choose which one is better.

well if i had to choose between the 2, and got identical workouts....i'd go stationary for multiple reasons.
1) one thing i hate about running and biking outdoors is if you get hurt, or if something happens, you still have to get back home.....
2) i hate the weather lol
3) i have bad ADD, so like you said....watching a movie while going on the bike for a few hours (i actually own a treadmill and ocassionally do this....running on the pavement is hell on the knees, and although a treadmill aint much better, it sure beats slamming your feet into the pavement..)

Yeah, those are the same reasons why I would get a stat. bike. I just would love to enjoy the weatheronce in awhile. I guess walking in won't hurt after a stat. bike workout inside.

Ironically, usually quite a bit more than one that actually moves.

I must disagree with Pizzey on this. Its always better to actually DO something then to ride a contraption that simulates the action.
Running outside over on a treadmill. Riding a bike over a stationary bike.

....Oh yeah.....playing an actually guitar over playing Guitar Hero.
Just thought I'd add that.

And enduring tourain and weather builds character. It makes you a more complete human being.

It toughens the body. That's the difference. Its a better workout and generally better for you. I suppose if you have a chronic knee or ankle problem you may have to keep it on a treadmill, but NOTHING is as good a workout as running a distance outside. Its one of the most natural human movements.

And yes....it is hard. And as Pizz says...its less convenient. ...Too friggin bad. If it was easy everyone would do it.

Keeping good form mitigates some of the injury concerns though.

I'm looking at buying a portable generator. I'm tired of losing power. thats kind of a big deal where I live about 10 years ago I started setting up the houses I built to "plug a play" if you will.....added about 200.00 bucks to the project for a simple set up ... main breaker mechanical interlock to prevent simutainious opertation between generator and main line. ... sized appropriate wire to a receptacle outside to plug the generator into....a wire sensor to tell you we the service wire becomes energized again... safe set up

edit: fair warning there are some dangers to hooking a generator to your house the about set up is approved and safe

Well, i read that electricians can set up these transfer switches. It's not really a standby, but a switch you manually have to activate. It's essentially a toggle between your generator and what the township provides.

It's essentially a toggle between your generator and what the township provides.thats another way to do it "lets say middle of the road cost wise" its a bit more money say 6 or 7 hundred perhaps versus the way I proposed....but it is a better setup for a number of reasons....one being that switch would only feed what circuits you select at the time of installation....the setup I mention energises all circuits....depending on the size of your gen. you would have to use restraint while the service power is down, insuring that you don't overload the gen or buy one big enought to cover the whole house....I was giving you cheapest setup which is accepted in the code at least around here....but you do have to use some common sence in a power outage....

We did one setup when the service power goes out a switch inside the house tells the gen to startup after a short warm up..it throws the switch putting power back into the house......when the service power come back it shuts everything down and switches over....a setup like that is expensive

but yeah find yourself a good electrician he can get you into something afordable that works for you...

Hurricane Sandy was the last straw. It was good family bonding time the first couple days, but after that it started to really suck. That's 2 major power outage storms in 2 years. I can't remember the last one prior to those 2. This is unheard of.

Maybe I just like the challenge.
i think Luck is a very solid qb(certainly wouldnt pick him first though), and you have Flacco as trade bait. Hopefully youd be able to trade him for a good rb.

you can't draft hoping to trade, unless something ridiculous falls to you.

Flacco isn't something ridiculous and mind you I like him a lot more than most

MattMeyerBud
07-02-2013, 09:41 AM
Flacco and Luck are back up FF QB's.

The top FF QB's are (not in any particular order) Brady, Rodgers Brees, Peyton, RG III, Cam Newton, Romo, Kaepernick, Stafford, (maybe this year) Carson Palmer, Ryan.

Rivers, Cutler, Flacco, Shaub are situational type players. I'm sure I'm forgetting someone but generally if you are stuck outside those first 9 or 10, you are NOT winning a FF league.

na Flacco is a starter this year.

See his numbers from the time with Cam Cameron and the time after him. He was so held back.

No one wants the military to take over but that is a much better alternative than the status quo. The military is bought and paid for by the US so they'll always run the show.

And I gotta say....I don't blame any of the players for what they did. The only guy that really went over the edge was Stephen Jackson, but he really thought he was just defending Ron Artest. Both those players are pretty out there....they ain't right in the head....but there is not one single person with a backbone who wouldnt have done the same exact thing that those guys did. I watched the footage over and over...and im like..."yep, i woulda snapped there....yep, i woulda went after that guy also....and that guy. yep, woulda hit him too...."

Well, I love the competition of online. Not many good games to play online anymore. COD, BF, sports games are all the same.

I agree that I enjoy the campaigns as well, but Watch Dogs and Last of Us also have a good multiplayer that gets you engaged after the single player experience.

But they DO tend to add more to the game that you have to pay for otherwise you're out of the loop.

Couldn't disagree more. For our league specifically. With the setup, RBs are most important and desirable. I had flacco last year as a starter and went to finals. And blonde didnt have any of the big 4
You had AP...As I did in the other GMB league. He was the great equalizer. I had AP and Aaron Rodgers last year.
And didn't Blondie have Ryan? He was a great FF QB last year.
My team wasn't that good at all but I had Brees, which helped me to overcome a lot of bad performances by other players.

Look at our scoring. 1 point per 20 yards and 6 pts. for a TD. Definitely favors the QB.

No it balances everything out. Ryan had a good year, but romo, cam, and rg3 all were in the same range and none of them were in The top 4 and he was drafted in the 3rd round.

I had AP, plus the buffalo backfield, mikell leshore, and im pretty sure i had another RB who went down for year. I was RB heavy with minimal Qb.

I don't know who he used in the playoffs..... my point the top qbs went early.....last year the top point getters in ff were qbs....the closest RB was AP at 11 and its over a hundred points difference DB being at the top.......... leaving DB/AR on the board in the first would be nuts imo
