Hm... I'll have to talk to the head honchos later.

I love/hate fantasy.... It makes random ****ty games like the Jags vs Rams interesting but it also ruins our own games when I'm rooting for individual players or the opponent players.

The best I ever done with Witten always came against the Giants, I felt conflicted lol

I think I just dont care as much as everyone else does about it. I mean, I know a lot about it, so I do well...I just think people are way too intense about it, and feel the need to discuss fantasy sports more than it matters lol.
Rule #1 of fantasy sports: Nobody else in the world...ever....gives a flying **** about YOUR fantasy team. No exceptions.

Well there are 2 leagues.
There is the original THEE thread FF league which is for blood. (MMB and Blondie run that one)
Then there is the "other" GMB league that started a few years ago that 820 runs.

We have 11 defensive player spots in my league: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 4 LBs, 2 CBs, 2 S

Usually people don't start picking defense until the 8th or 9th round but once that first person drafts the best defensive player, there is a run on all the good defenders.

egyptian420
07-11-2014, 03:03 PM
It's actually pretty easy, you gotta look for guys who rack up a lot of tackles (ex. Kuechly, Lavontae Davis..etc) and guys who get picks or sacks.

Rolle killed it for me last year

We have 11 defensive player spots in my league: 2 DEs, 1 DT, 4 LBs, 2 CBs, 2 S

Usually people don't start picking defense until the 8th or 9th round but once that first person drafts the best defensive player, there is a run on all the good defenders.2012 was my first year playing FF, but prior to that, I had accidentally joined a few IDP leagues. This was like 2007. I thought they were just drafts, but they were actual teams.

I think Merriman was the most sought-after player at that point.

I also drafted one of JP's team last year, which featured an IDP. I picked Kuechly. I mean, he's a boss, so I assume that translated into FF.

My nephew just completed his "9 stadiums in 9 days" tour.
Went to 9 games in 9 different cities.
Mets, Orioles, Nat's, Tigers, Phillies, Jays, Yanks, Indians and Sox.
Drove almost 2500 miles.

Pretty cool.

Like JP, I've wanted to do that for years and shamefully never made it happen. I now travel a fair bit for work and if I get downtime and the local team is in action, I'll usually go. I've seen a lot of parks that way, it's usually baseball or hockey since I don't often have to travel on the weekends. I did see a Jets Miami game in FLA a few years ago.

It's cool just wanting to see a good game and not giving a crap who wins. Much better for my blood pressure too

Hey, I've got an idea, let's not increase our distribution ability significantly by incenting everyone to participate, instead we can simply tell them to do it because they're good corporate citizens.

I can't know what Mr. Mara would have done. There were certainly plenty of reports that TC was on the hot seat with the second half collapse.
If we had lost to Washington we would have been 7-9 and been 1-7 in our last 8 games.
Tiki's 230 yards and 3 TD's in that game pretty much saved that season.

So..do I KNOW he would have been fired? No I don't.
Do I think there was a decent chance?....Yes I do.
Don't forget...this was before the SB. TC would have had a mediocre, 3 year run with that loss. He would have had a losing record actually with no playoff wins and only one 23-0 shutout on his playoff record.

We look at it now with 2 SB's. That's not the way it was then. Folks wanted him out at that point.

If Tiki didn't have that game against Washington....WE WOULD NOT HAVE MADE THE PLAYOFFS TWO YEARS IN A ROW!!!

It was all about establishing the leverage for the negotiations.
The contract would have been much bigger if Graham had been declared a WR. They would have had to pay him around $12 to $14MM on the franchise tag.

The team had much more leverage when they knew he would only get like $6 to $7MM as a TE.

"Joe Flacco and Eli Manning don't have great career statistics, but they've been clutch when it has*mattered most- on the road, in the playoffs, when their teams are big underdogs, they've made the throws that led to victory. I really don't think clutch is a factor that can be determined by passing statistics because it is most measured by 1) poise 2) winning...not just games in general but rival games and playoff games."
