Apparently she clicked the GMB because she knows that is my favorite. Well then she decided to click this thread, click reply, type that in there and then post it. She is brilliant. I don't look to Football players as role models, I couldn't careless what Vick did...he's a good football player...if we needed a QB I'd be absolutely crazy happy if we got him....fortunately ...we already have Eli.

Ray Lewis killed a dude, multiple players on our team currently have beaten their wives...Football players aren't exactly saints....they are overly aggressive and make stupid decisions and bad mistakes more often then the regular guy, what Vick did was wrong, but if he'd help our team win a SB I really couldn't give two ****s.

If i was a philly fan I'd definitely be happy.

Every one I have talked to or seen post is. If Vick can be "Vick" then this could potentially be a bad thing for the Giants. They are paying McMuffin alot of money though with that new extension. Wildcat, Punt Returner maybe, who knows?

If Vick can be Vick...AND McNabb is fine with having him on the team....then it can't be good for us that's for sure, he was really a special player...there is no denying that....that said we have the best DE's in the NFL...if anyone COULD contain him its Osi, Kiwi, and Tuck....with a floating Phillips imho.

But in America there comes a time to move on. 2 years in prison and tens upon tens of millions lost is just punishment.

Agreed.

i think that this is all crap and i think anyone who is ok with him being in the NFL period is insane. the man should be killed and fed to a pack of pitbulls. what he did was beyond wrong. this is not something that is a mistake and ohh poor guy desrves a second chance... bull****. he killed hundreds of dogs over and over again for money... those dogs suffered. they felt pain. i hope osi and tuck bury him 6 feet under... where he ****ing belongs. scum bag.

actually... i agree up to the point where i wanted him to resurrect.

This actually falls in line with the exact thing i wanted...

I wanted him to come back and get his *** handed to him and break down and never be high profile again. Coiming to the NFC east is the best way to do that

He tortured and murdered them. If he could do that to an animal than what else is he capable of.

I don't think he "made a mistake". I think what he did was cruel, inhumane and in its purest sense, "horribly wrong". If you have a problem with the criminal justice sysytem, I have no problem with that. But the legal issues are over. The real question is, does a guy who has been through the system, paid his debt to society as perscribed by the leagal sysytem, have a right to continue his life.

The answer is yes. Vick is a football player. Thats his skill set. If he's good enough to play on a team, he should have that right. Its sucks because he is a scumbag. But this is America. We let scumbags live here too.

listen i hear ya... u dont have to convince me...

but lets face facts, he lost essentially 60 million dollars and did two years. If that debt to society did anything, it should at least give him the right to get his job back if the league lets him back.

but again, as a society, lets not be by hypocrites with how we treat animals. The truth of it is when a horse runs bad at Freehold tomorrow, hes probably going to the glue factory. Next time you order a veal parm, remember that poor lil guy is tortured in a box so the meat can be tender for your lips, or next time you get McDonalds, think of the cows that are bred to be killed and live packed right next to each other in mounds of their own **** before they are sent thru the meat grinder.

You know i love dogs, i have an abnormal love for my dog. But we have to keep it all in perspective. You don't have to like him, he ain't on our team, so we don't have to worry about it.
Infact we get to enjoy our defenes snapping his neck for as long as he lasts

so [B]

I am a firm believer that everyone deserves a second chance. Murderers and rapists get them and they get them in the NFL also. I hate what he did and will never forget him but he is a human. Let God judge. I love dogs more than anyone I know and can't imagine the things he did. You are right that we would still be sitting in jail and we would never get our job back. We might be able to find a job being a felon but that would be hard. Don't forget he also lost an estimated 100 million dollars and is still 20 mil in debt. He has paid a bigger price than anyone else maybe ever has and I am happy about that. Again I do think he deserves the chance to get his life back together and prove to people he is sorry.

Gov't is not the private sector and follows a different rule set.

If I got drunk in a bar one nit and punched a dude in the face and got charged for it nothing would happen, if I did exactly what Vick did I'd probably lose my current job while in jail (Like Vick did) but I'd be able to get another job in my current field when I was released.

i think that this is all crap and i think anyone who is ok with him being in the NFL period is insane. the man should be killed and fed to a pack of pitbulls. what he did was beyond wrong. this is not something that is a mistake and ohh poor guy desrves a second chance... bull****. he killed hundreds of dogs over and over again for money... those dogs suffered. they felt pain. i hope osi and tuck bury him 6 feet under... where he ****ing belongs. scum bag.

if ur not out here flipping out about Leonard Little and Donte Stallworth before vick, then your head isn't on right.

AS ****ed up and brutal it all was, its still not equal to taking a human life

listen... i dont think stallworth should be allowed to play every again either. what he did was VERY VERY WRONG and he should pay for it and regardless nothing will bring back the poor man (father, husband, son., brother) that he killed and my heart goes out for their family. as wrong as it is... it was an honest mistake. he should pay and he should never play again. it was also a mistake though. not that he should be forgiven but i can put money on it 3/4 of you have gotten in a car wasted before. unfortunaltey this is why you dont drink and drive. and i know im going to get flipped out on for this because one is a dog and one is a human but stallworth i believe was an honest mistake... vick was intensional- hence why it was done hundreds of time for money.

look into the eyes of this dog and tell me this man should allowed on a football field let alone living...

listen i hear ya... u dont have to convince me...

but lets face facts, he lost essentially 60 million dollars and did two years.

Infact we get to enjoy our defenes snapping his neck for as long as he lasts

what he did was beyond words. all dogs feel pain just like everyother animal. but dogs also show emotions. making them fight eachother is one thing, but what bothers me is he was fine with electrocuting, drowning, and hangingthese poor dogs. but then i thought about it and id rather watch him fall apart in front of my eyes. football is what he lives for, its his life. 2 years removed, not in his prime anymore. watching him struggle and fall apart (if he even plays) will be enough justice for me.

well yes whoever it was that was going to sign him was going to lose brownie points with me... Philly didn't really have any in my eyes anyway, so it all makes perfect sense.

The ones that will really disgust me, is not Vick for playing (why wouldnt he), isn't the organization (as much, because its all about money for them), its the fans that are now going to cheer for him..

who kills your turkey on thanksgiving and christmas??lol

The guy whose got 20,000 turkeys in his backyard and runs them through a machine, come on Dez, you are being ridiculous, Hunting is a Sport, its as necessary to life as Football is.

well in that case, im on dezzz's side

I would change it to Bowling, but then I'd be on his side too lol....lets say it's as necessary to life as curling.

the difference between stallworth and vick is intent! dont forget that. stallworth should of gotten at least 10 years. AT LEAST! even though it was an accident everyone knows youdont drink and drive!. but vick knew what he was doing. he intended to kill dogs. and imho with out any reason to kill an animal other then its another mouth to feed, to badly hurt to fight again, or just for the **** of it,is murder!

hunting is different because its a necessity, and has been around since we evolved.

hunting is HARDLY used as a necessity... its used as sport for the most part... so lets not go there

and yes intent is a huge difference, i agree...

but again.. human life outweighs a dogs life any day of the week

who kills your turkey on thanksgiving and christmas??lol

alot of hunters make a living by selling their catch to their local food stores you know. not like a walbalms but the local stores
LMAO- Maybe not this extreme, but i can honestly tell you that i know several families who rely on wild game as a food source...

hunting is different because its a necessity

no it isn't don't be silly.

less then a hundred years ago it was. andfor some in the mid west today, yes it is.

100 years ago isn't today bro lol..

hundred years ago vick wouldn't be playing football, he'd be a slave.. see the difference

99% of the hunting that goes down today is NOT necessity

lol where did you learn history matt. vick would stillbe free lol

point is even though hunting isnt as necessary as it was a hundred years ago its still a big part of human nature as is dog fighting is just sick

their #1 form of entertainment? The Colosseum, people animals etc etc killed in mass, this kind of thing IS Human Nature, most of use can push that part of our nature away, it's called being civilized.

The world as a whole in general, I'd say maybe 5%-10% of "hunting" meaning going out and searching for "game" and killing it with a gun and bringing it home to eat, is actually necessary.
