He's a very very reliable kicker that is extremely underappreciated amongst this fan base.

You won't find another kicker that reliable from chipshot to about 49 that can also hit from 50+.

He simply does not have a strong leg for 50+.

He is a big part of our success.

Agreed. Tynes is not perfect, but he's mostly reliable. Our problems are elsewhere.

Tynes isnt going anywhere and he's the least of this teams concern.

I like Tynes but it's baffling how he doesn't have the leg to kick from 50 plus especially being an NFL kicker. He definitely improved his leg strength on kick-offs cause he was booting the ball this year but, every team in the NFL needs to have a guy they feel comfortable with kicking from at least 55 yards.

Sure tynes is fine and Im ok with him as our kicker and the 47 yarder in GB was amazing. That said look at the weapon Walsh is in Minny and zuerlein is in St Louis, obviosly those guys dont come around often but man are they weapons from 50 and out.

Kickers are like relief pitchers you dont know what to expect year to year cause many times sample sizes are too small for them - look at crosby laast year and now struggling this year then akers kills it last year, then kill the niners this year. Tynes is in that collection of above avg but not special guys - he isn't hurting us so fine keep him but not gonna gush over him, still love him for the kick in Gb and in San fran but dont forget the misses in GB whick may have made OT null.

Tynes has been fantastic. Accuracy is spot on. Yeah, 50+ yards are a challenge but he has been incredibly consistent for a long time. He'll be back.
