Would anyone oppose giving him a shot at #2 qb? Carr isnt going to save our season if Eli gets hurt and I know VY wants tovprove himself. Might be interesting even though I like Carr and he knows the offense.

I would be opposed.

We already have a crappy backup. We could fill that spot with a no name crappy QB rather than a has-been, never-was crappy backup.

Can't say I'm interested, anything in particular that would make you want him in blue? Im sure he DOES want to prove himself but can he, its no secret that Eli doesnt miss games.

I would take him as our backup, he is a huge improvement over David Carr. However, I am still hoping that Philladelphia releases Mike Vick and we sign him as our backup QB.

Nothing personal but those are two of the worst ideas I've read in some time. Neither of those guys are NFL caliber QBs. I know Carr isn't either but he's doesn't cost anything. I mean he's paying the Giants to be on the roster, right?

Those other two clowns would actually probably want to be paid.

Vince Young would just be bad to have here. He's a guy who's going to eventually want to play and I could just imagine his demeanor in the locker room when he's constantly holding a clipboard for Eli week in and week out...for a long period of time.

I just don't see that going well.

Never stated to pay Vince Young more than David Carr.

In regard to Mike Vick, I did write that I was "hoping" Philadelphia Eagles would release him and we would pick him up. I don't think we will.

Vick couldn't run this offense. It'd be a horrible fit. Plus he sucks.

Sarcasman

I wouldn't pay Vince Young Carr money, he's worth less because he comes with baggage.

And I wouldn't bring Vick here if he was free...unless we're looking for a 4th string RB of course

Not to mention VY single handedly sabatoged the Eagles season with the whole "Dream Team" thing... the press would be baiting him to no end for idiotic sound bites....

For that alone... Nooooooooooooooooooo

Vince young is a million times better than Carr. Who cares if he knows the playbook if he holds onto the ball longer than Kurt Warner. I would take him over Carr any day of the week.

You're basing this on what, pre-season snaps with the back ups. no valid evidence to support your claim

Vince Young is a complete and total scrub and in no way could ever run this offense. I'd take Carr everyday of the week and twice on Sundays over Young.

While I won't argue with you on this, but that status wouldn't change if we replaced him with Young; we'd still have the worst backup in the league.

My thought was if the guy works hard and can prove himself why not? If he matured than he deserves a second chance. Who are we to write off a guy that we dont know? (he sucks, hell no, never) These are replies based on feelings not facts. The right coach/team mates make all the difference in the world.

FFS, he got cut by the BILLS this summer. That has to tell you something. They didn't even want his scrub *** as a back-up.

VY would be brought in strictly for a backup role and this is what would happen first day of camp:

Reporter: Vince do you think you should be the starter?

VY: Yes

Carr is currently the worst backup QB in the league imo

John Skelton
Ryan Lindley
Tim Tebow
Brady Quinn
Charlie Batch
Matt Leinart
Luke McCown
Derek Anderson

You'd rather have one of those guys on the roster?

There are only a handful of teams with competent backups - the Cowboys with Kyle Orton, the Lions with Shaun Hill, the Dolphins with Matt Moore, the Browns with Colt McCoy, the Bears with Jason Campbell and probably the Seahawks with Matt Flynn. (I didn't include rookies because they've only seen limited playing time). I'd stick Carr in the latter list before the former.

Also, Vince Young is a bum.

I think we should let Carr walk and promote Perriloux...It wouldnt matter much in terms of wins and it would be more fun to watch Perriloux if Eli was hurt for more than a game or 2. I do think the Giants will be looking for a Backup QB in the draft.

I've yet to see anything out of Perriloux that makes me want to see more.

P.S. - We don't have a receiver that could catch up to one of his bombs.
