this is the guy I would like to see the giants grab in the later rounds if at all possible. He put up productive numbers in college,,can catch the ball out of the backfield, and is pretty much a slightly smaller version of Brandon Jacobs. this kid could be our bruiser, our goal line/short yardage guy. I know we have brown but he seems to be injury prone,,if this kid is there,,why not? I think you will like him.

you can say that about many college players coming out,,,did you see this guys production? never avaeraged less than 4.5 ypc and he can catch the ball out of the backfield,,,I am not saying he would be our feature back,,but were em down with this guy and kill em with wilson.

Kiper Says he could go in 2nd RND, bc of teams needs..even mentions possible late R1... with that said I dont think Reese and Co. Fire on a RB first 3 rounds after dropping the #1 of FLIP Last year... When you can do your homework and land the types of backs that you can grab late, you gotta trust your scouts to get the bradshaws in 7th, the A. Morris late and A.foster not even drafted.... What concerns me if Mark Ross Gets a GM position as he has been huge on our scouting Team and i'd hate to Lose him to another team, esp in same Conference.

"They are all different from where they began the year to now,'' Kiper Jr. said, asked by MLive.com about the three Spartans' underclassmen on Tuesday.
Bell, a 6-foot-2, 244-pound runner who led the Big Ten with 1,648 yards rushing, was the first player Kiper Jr. broke down.
"He's a very patient runner, you look at how he wears the defense down, his body lean, he gets 2 yards when you think he's stopped,'' he said. "He's deceptively quick, he allows the hole to develop. He doesn't have a great initial burst….he's in the second-round discussion.''
However, Kiper Jr., said that potential second-round projection would only be because of a few NFL teams' needs, and he indicated there's no possibility of Bell going in the first round. (http://www.mlive.com/spartans/index.ssf/2012/12/michigan_state_fans_beg_tailba.html)
"There's no first-round back, there is no elite back — (Marcus) Lattimore is the only first-round talent, and he had the injury,'' Kiper Jr. said. "Everyone else is a third-, fourth-round type of back. Maybe some of them get pushed into the second round because of need.
"But you go down the list of teams looking for running backs, there's not a ton of them,'' he said. "Not a lot of (NFL) teams are going to prioritize the running back position. I don't see a running back going in the first round.''

thanks for the info,,,I haven't seen a mock yet with him going earlier than the 4th, interesting and a bummer at the same time.

Now with that said and what he did Ty... Id fire a 4th Rounder on Him for sure...I Love his Size... And he would compliment Flip and Brown at 6'2"/244... wow thats great size... worried about upright running at that size... has he been clocked at all in any 40 and SS times? I know some of these guys get these done to see where they are at for comparison from YTY growth...

i Have seen 40 times,,but nothing official,,,thats what I was eluding to before,,,imagine him and brown pounding it out, tiring the D, then putting wilson in? his 4.4 would seem more like a 3.0 after the oppossing D tired facing the other two big boys,,,well,,,lets see what happens.

Don't get me wrong I am not against him. But, I also do see some problems with his run style mainly in the durability area. He is tall and runs upright with his legs exposed.

Well...no I dont think they can fix it. He is tall, with long legs and he runs upright. Thats just who he is. Teams will target his legs the same way Brandon Jacob's legs were the target for a lot of teams.

That said, he is a big strong kid who gets yards after contact but lacks big play potential. There are backs I like more in this draft, but that doesnt mean that he isnt still a decent prospect.

Part of me says don't take a RB at all unless something crazy happens or we think Lattimore will be a late steal. Another part of me says take Eddie Lacy in the 2nd Rnd and set up a fantastic 1-2 punch with him and Wilson...

lacy would look good in giants blue,,dont know if they would go so high with a RB,,depends on where they have him ranked,,but I feel you.

Please God NO!!! Bell got his numbers beating up on little guys in College. He disappeared in big games, he does not pack a huge punch for a guy his size, he will get eaten alive in the NFL.
