Seeing as people keep talkung about these two as cap casualties I want to remind everyone that cutting Bradshaw will cost us $750k and cutting Baas will cost us over $2m.As such, don't expect either of them to be cut. They'll cost us less on the team than off of it.

Do not like the idea of cutting Bradshaw at all. Yeah his feet are bad, but he plays through pain and plays with more passion than just about the entire team. Not to mention he is a great blocker.

Yes, but he should be relegated to backup duty. It's time for speed and fresh legs. I also think keeping him should depend on whether Andre Brown looks like he can return strong.

They drafted Wilsom with the expectation of him taking over one day you would thing. So having him get more carries can help Bradshaw stay fresh during the season with a lighter work load.

I'd like to admit that I screwed up when coming up with Bradshaw's cap penalty... I accidentally counted 2012 in there, so we actually would see a savings by cutting him.

Any verification on the Baas cut? I can't find confirmation anywhere.

Baas wont be released because while the giants would break even releasing him.

4.25 mil base salary then subtract the 4.5 mil in signing bonuses that would accelerate.

Next season however releasing him would save 2.5 mil

Baas wont be released because it would cost more to release him than keep him.Yup, that's why I started this thread earlier, but my dumbass added Bradshaw's 2012 bonus money in (and went off of spotrac having his base at $3m, instead of $3.75m), so my AB numbers were a bit off.

Oh ok. My bad. I read it wrong. All good. With the flurry of cuts the past two days, I can see why someone may have been confused.

Dont feel bad, i screwed up all the guys in my big post about them by including this years signing bonus as subtracted money.

That money is being paid either way, so it doesnt matter. So just base salary + workout bonus/roster bonus - all future signing bonus = cap savings
