1st - Sharrif Floyd, DT Florida.. would look real nice next to Linval Joseph.. NY was terrible against the run last year, should help free up JPP

2nd - Arthur Brown, LB Kansas St.. a 3 down LB, needs to add weight to be the MLB either way he's a starter.. loves football

3rd - David Quessenberry, OT/G/C San Jose State.. very versatile, can help out in alot of spots.. bye bye Diehl

4th - Will Davis, CB Utah St.. CB is a problem.. Davis would add some depth, very good athlete. Good value here

5th - Joe Kruger, DE Utah.. beast DE at 6-7 280lbs.. like this guy

6th - Earl Wolff, S N.C. State.. Rolle? Phillips? Stevie? saftey depth is a good idea
,
7th - Braxton Cave, C.. late round flyer, O-line help

I like your mock I just think we need help at CB a lot more, even though Floyd makes sense at first I think we should either draft a CB in the first or second. I would say Ogletree first and a CB in the second. Or Banks in the first and Arthur in the sencond.

I like it. Don't know much about Kruger, so I'll check him out. I'm also not as high on Brown as others, but I see why people like him. Floyd is really rising, huh? Seems like a month ago he was mocked to us in the 2nd a lot. Now it seems like it is questionable whether he'll even make it to 19. Some dude had him mocked #3 to OAK -- which is probably way too high, but shows which way his stock seems to be heading...

I like Ogletree too.. I just don't think he'll be there after the combine

Yeah he is very athletic... But yeah maybe if he rises that mean someone will probably fall I just hope that is Jonathan Banks, I really like him. He has play ability and size like Richard Sherman, hopefully we can snatch him up in the first. If not I think Logan Ryan or Blidi Wreh-Wilson can do for us in the second

I think Tampa Bay will take either Banks or Rhodes.. One of them will be there at #19

Yeah, I've seen people rating Rhodes cover skills better than Banks, but I would be stoked with any of them

I hear ya, I think rhodes is the more physical of the two,,,,,I pray that ogeltree is there at 19 and we grab him,,perfect fit for the D.

Yeah same, this is the mock that I made I think it fits pretty good every need.

1st - Alec Ogletree, LB Georgia
2nd - David Amerson, CB NC State
3rd - Kyle Long, OT Oregon
4th - Devin Taylor, DE South Carolina
5th - Joseph Fauria, TE UCLA
6th - Brandon Williams, DT Missouri Southern
7th - Dustin Hopkins, K Florida State

I'm not sold on amerson,,I like the kid from Uconn in the second if rhodes is gone...nice draft though,,,would not complain,,,,my only difference,,and it's purely guilty pleasure,,would be to grab one of either tyrann mathieu or miguel maysonet in the later rounds.

Amerson is a no-no in my book but good mock nonetheless. We def need a kicker..

I put Amerson there for two reasons:
1- Yes he had a bad senior year, but many scouts say that he still will develop a a 1st round ability.
2- He has size. The lack of size that we dont have with Hosley we can add with Amerson.

Otherwise we can draft Blidi Wreh-Wilson, he has super long arms, and ESPN ranks him ahead of Banks.

I do not like Mathieu. He is a play maker but his game won't translate to the NFL. He is bad in coverage, most of his highlights are from sacks strip fumbles; but the Giants won't draft him for that reason, they won't draft him because he is filled with off-field issues.

disagree,,he is much more than just striping the ball,,which he does masterfully,,,,he is a flat out ball hawk who rarely gets beat deep and doesn't allow much separation. he excels in reading opposing D's and is always around the ball because of that. also,,he is a pretty darn good punt returner....his only off the field issue is that he likes to smoke pot,,which by all accounts is under control now. the high reward potential outweighs the risk involved. if he had played last year he is easily a first or early second round pick. he is more of a hybrid safety and slot corner in the NFL, plus he can tackle. he has ed reed ball skills....we would be nuts not to take a flier on this kid in say the 5th/6th/7th if he is still around. I am predicting he goes as early as the 3rd,,so we will never get near him anyway.

Love the mock. if Richardson from Missouri isnt there then Floyd is the next best. big body who can come in and start day one.

Love Arthur Brown but i have concerns that he wont be there then. I have seen some mocks having him a late 1st early 2nd. If hes not there then Green From RU would be great.

Next two Picks are guys that i have on my mock at the same spots. Quessenberry is one of the most versatile O-Linemen i have ever seen. can play all along the line and is solid at them all (not a star at any). I think Will Davis is a hidden gem in this draft. Big time sleeper pick.

The Rest of the draftees meet all of our needs. I have heard that Wolff is the real deal at S. Kruger is a good Run Stopping DE and with our line should be able to develop his pass rush ability, Love his Size at the point of attack.

Mathieu is a good prospect at round 6-7. Great ball skills and can turn a game at any time. Wont ever be anything more than a Nickle CB on Defense, just isnt big enough or tough enough at the NFL level. However, he also adds the special team aspect that every team needs, especially the Giants. Great PR/KR ability and with Wilson taking over the bulk of the carries on offense you really dont want him being a KR guy. Mathieu could step in and be an immediate impact player on ST.

Yeah at rounds 6-7, but what do yu have to lose at round 6-7? I think it would be crazy if we took him on the 3rd... 6-7 and even 5th I would be stoked cause he is a play maker. I believe he will be a great punt returner, but I don't see him being much more than that.

Ya i have seen alot of mocks having him as a 2-4 rounder. He wouldnt even be a 3rd rounder if he didnt have the off field red flags. He just isnt a #1 or #2 CB hes a Nickle/Slot CB and a KR/PR specialist who can probably play gunner aswell. I would be okay with 5th rounder for him.

Exactly the advantage with him in our team, would definitely be that now that D. Wilson will probably be starting at RB, we could move Mathieu at KR/PR. He would be a good nickel I think, but we still need a big physical corner to play the big guys on the outside.
