has anyone else noticed that they raid the last team that put them out of the playoffs for players. 2012 - Mario Manningham & Brandon Jacobs. 2013 - Anquan Bolden. If they didn't have Pat Willis and Navarro Bowman, I'm sure they would have gone after Dannel Ellerby. They're probably on the phone right now trying to get Ray Lewis to come out of retirement.

Can't blame them, Bolden is a great pick up for them. Guy is a warrior.

Bolden for a 6th round pick, I guess it pays to have a brother in the NFL. That is sick value.

It was stupid for about 30 other teams not to pick up Bolden for a 6th.

Bolden really reminds me of Toomer after our first Superbowl, Bolden was threatening to retire and all that. Toomer also didn't leave the Giants on good terms.

That Boldin trade was great for the 49ers. They're looking to add Ed Reed too. Love Patrick Willis, but hope they never win a ring with Harbaugh as their coach. Grade A POS

They abslutely stole Bolden, shame on the Ravens for allowing something like this to happen. 49ers have a serious edge on the other contenders, they dont have 20 mil of cap space tied up in there QB.

They still want Revis too, and they will probly get him.

It was a last minute deal. 49ers through the offer out there, and apparently it was the best. Teams probly thought he was just going to get released (or kept for another year) and didnt offer anything. Kudos to 49ers front office, well done.

Ravens basically dumped him because he refused to restructure. Shame on them. They are going to regret this when they dont get passed 1 playoff game next year.

I thought Boldin was going to retire if he couldn't stay a Raven. :)All Boldin said was that he was unwilling to take a pay cut out of principle.

You could be thinking of Steven Jackson.

Shhh, we're all supposed to forget he said that.
Hmm, seems I have forgotten. When did he say it?

The Ravens were cutting him anyways. Our cap looks somewhat manageable when you look at the Ravens roster. They went all out.

Well in the other hand you could also say the Ravens made Boldin a " favor ". How? If Boldin didn't got traded and instead got released I highly doubt that he was going to get a one year 6 mill dollar payday or more lucrative extension. That been said I'm sure he was sincere and wanted to end his career back in Balt. but got the next best thing, playing out his original contract and still in a contending team.

Honestly, hed probly get a 3-4 year 7-8m dollar deal had he been released.

I think the Ravens dropped the ball on this one, should have kept him for another year, found someone else to restructure.

Yeah, there is some sort of collusion there. Brother to brother trades that dont make sense. Why isnt anyone making a stink about it?

It wasnt really a shady deal at all. However, Im sure brother called brother and said, look man, we are releasing Bolden in two days, and no one has made a trade offer. And thats how the deal was done.

A lil brotherly gift after beating him in the Superbowl :)

Ironically it was Boldin's play this year in the clutch what got Balt. over the hump specially in the postseason. You could be right about restructuring moves to keep him but I guess it was just to complicated. Not even the reigning SB MVP have much power in the final saying for Anquan to stay.

It was stupid for about 30 other teams not to pick up Bolden for a 6th.Minnesota offered a 7th. Why not just offer the 6? Or the 5 even? Seems silly for a team with 2 firsts in nee of WR help.
