Excerpt: "Keith Rivers had high hopes for his first season with the Giants, but a nagging hamstring injury made him a complete non-factor. Now that the Giants have brought him back for another season, he’s hoping everything will change.

The 26-year-old Giants officially re-signed with the Giants on Friday, one year after the Giants got him in a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals. If he can prove he’s healthy, he could compete for a starting job on the Giants’ linebacking corps that has thinned out with the release of Michael Boley and the expected loss of Chase Blackburn.

Proving he’s healthy, though, is something he knows is a big “if”.

“Anytime you step on the field you have something to prove – me, more so,” Rivers said in an interview provided by the Giants. “Obviously, I have to prove I can stay healthy. I haven’t necessarily been able to be trusted to stay healthy. Hopefully, taking a big rest this offseason will help me do that.” Read more...

Im hoping he bounces back healthy because the times he did play, he looked great.
