The NFL.com comment from the Top Free Agents still available.

13. Osi Umenyiora, DE: Osi is beginning to realize all those long-term offers from the Giants weren't so bad.

I would thoroughly laugh and enjoy it if osi would come back to the Giants for super cheap.

Since there are a lot of DEs out there especially in the draft, Osi isn't worth a lot of money especially since his talent has declined. As one eagles player said "he thinks hes better than what he really is" :D

Osi won't come back......he'd have to admit he was wrong.

Osi won't come back......he'd have to admit he was wrong. In the end JR played this one properly. I am not sure what a dancing bear is worth at DE in this free agent market. I will always love Osi for his part in the 2 Super Bowls but he can't stop the run at this point if his life depended on it. We need more of a 2 way player at this point unless the price is very cheap.

I dont mind Osi's pass rush skills but his play against the runs is dreadful! With that said I would like him here if he came cheap.

I don't see him coming back but if he's dirt cheap then why not?

Osi's problem is, everyone has seen him play. Its great to get a strip sack, but thats almost all the sacks he gets. So he tries to go round the tackle, which usually means he goes round behind the QB as well. Tackles don't have to block him so much as guide him. He probably has poo-pooed the idea of being a pass rush specialist to anyone that has asked.

I would like to see Osi come back at a cheap contract and with a new attitude.

Have we looked at Richard Seymour at all?

Osi won't come back......he'd have to admit he was wrong. While we've had to deal periodically with an unhappy camper, I think that JR has played this one about as well as anyone could. He never really caved in a way that would have hurt our cap situation elsewhere. Now when it is time for Osi to "name that tune" it's not going so smoothly.

I wish him well but we need to add back some ferocity on the DL, something which Osi no longer possesses.

The days he spent riding an exercise bike is a good place to start.

Osi won't come back......he'd have to admit he was wrong.yea he will do what KP did and take a 1 yr deal for cheap before he came back here and admit after all his crying and moaning for two years he was wrong, and his value was no where near as high as he thought. Looks like all the GMs agree with JR on this one so far

I'd love to see him go to Miami. If he goes there, the Giants may never have to face him most likely save for the Super Bowl. Although some here would contend facing him would be great for our run game that day, can't say I'd disagree with that, lol.

miked1958

Wouldn't mind facing him. Then we could show him just how bad his run stopping ability is by RUNNING IT at him all day long, lol

However we have to Thank him in Parting as we all know we prob in a much different position in that GB game had he not swiped that ball out of Rodgers hand in that playoff game. They get that TD there things could have gone differently

Whyall the disdain for Osi?

I wonder the same thing....I'm not going to blame him for the fact that Fewell wouldn't recognize a platoon if Charlie Sheen bit him in the ***.

We really missed Tollefson last year, that's for sure.

Whyall the disdain for Osi?Because he's been a consistent distraction the last 3 or 4 years..Complaining every year, despite having the front loaded contract that he asked for and the team gave him !!

Hey I have an Idea for Osi to get a Contract from one of the NFL teams. Maybe he should THREATEN to SIT out the Season if his Phone doesnt start ringing soon. That will be sure to Stir em up

Whyall the disdain for Osi?

Because it is all his fault that we didn't make the playoffs. Not Webster, not Blackburn, not Boley, not the rest of our horrible LB's, not Tuck, not the pathetic push from the DT's, .. It's was all Osi's fault. Come on, haven't you been around here lately.
