It's just what our defense needs, I think it makes for a perfect fit.

What's the word on him. Is he considering an offer from the giants?

I wanted Dansby YEARSSS agoagreed! Connor is injury prone, got lucky in Dallas in staying healthy. But I would rather Dansby as well. I think he is 31, turns 32 mid season or so? I guess not further rumblings regarding Durant(who I would be ok with too) or Maualuga(whom I was not in favor for). I see the Cards signed Brinkley, who visited the Giants the other day.

Dansby refused to take a pay cut in Miami. Giants are only offering free agents one year low ball or minimum, deals.

would you take a pay cut in miami though, they stink. Maybe he wants a chance to win something so there's always that

Half of the so called experts say we will pick Ogletree or MaTeo<sp> in the draft. Not so sure Danby will be signed. Reese looking at options, but the G men have to find a TE now. A right tackle is a must also.

Why do people want Connor ? He isnt any good. Is it because he is from "Linebacker U"? He isnt Navarro Bowman . He is a back up LB that was overrated in the draft 5 years ago nothing more

Dansby even at his age is far more athletic than Connor

I would like Dansby also...wanted him back when we grabbed Rolle. That would help this LB unit a lot. Conner would be like getting another Chase Blackburn. However, I'm not satisfied with the current unit and agree that even Conner will help. The writers say he is not good in coverage and would need to come off the field in favor of our three safety set I suppose. I can live with that. Osi won't be in on third down so that alone will help our run defense so Connors absence on third/obvious passing downs won't hurt us and hopefully we can improve against the run with his presence.

Dansby is said to be losing a step in coverage also but is still likely a three down player for one or two years. I prefer that capability. I have learned to appreciate the three safety set since we have shoddy LBs but I would prefer a true 4-3 with at least satisfactory LB play.

how old is Connor?Connor is 27, turns 28 about midseason. But he is injury prone. Dansby is 31, turns 32 about midseason.

But in my opinion Dansby is more durable and still can be productive. Connor is younger, yes, but we already re-signed a talented LB that has been injury prone(Rivers). I think Dansby could give the Giants a couple solid years.

The people that are complaining that Dansby is slow---the Giants also were interested in Maualuga and Brinkley. They were about the same type of LB as Dansby. I did not want Maualuga either, and of course Brinkley signed with the Cards.

I guess Durant must be asking too much or not on the Giants radar anymore? Haven't heard any news regarding him the past 2 days.

You want a player who isn't any good just because he is younger?

If Dansby was 45 I would sign him before Connor.
