I have been lurking these boards for a long time but have never posted. I just have a thought though. I see all of the Louis Murphy hate on here. Does anyone think that maybe he was signed as a kick returner to take the pressure off of David Wilson? He was a kick returner in college and really does have blazing speed.

Stop with the logical posts, they aren't welcomed here.

I don't think so. I really think he's there to be a deep weapon.

Sure, but the "hate" isn't directed to the signing itself, it's directed to the "bombs away" posts.

I for one am a fan of the signing. He flashed quite a bit of skill in the footage I saw. He is going to be a solid #4 WR with more room to expand.

how can you watch these highlights and be mad we signed this kid? I am sure the money is small and the kid is fast, attacks the ball in the air, can catch the football and blocks well. He adds a legit deep threat to our offense. as far as learning the playbook, these guys are professionals, and unless his name is chad johnson, I am not too concerned. they will find a way to utilize his speed in the game plan. I could see this guy growing on fans quickly, he plays with fire, another thing this team needs. I like it, I like it a lot.

I agree

I liked this kid a lot as a Raider and he will be a nice addition to the receiving corps.

his vertical threat, along with nicks up the sidelines and cruz across the middle will be hard to cover and will also open up the running game for rocket man wilson.

Murphy in a similar role that Hixon has taken up over the years will be great for this team.

I'm not hating, I'm just tempering my expectations.

Speed isn't everything.
