Rivers looked awesome in the first game of the season against the Cowboys, but he got hurt and battled injuries for the rest of the season.

If he stays healthy, he can be a force, but that's a big if . . . .

All they need to do is make it easier for the d line.

I hope he doesn't turn out to be as fragile as Gerris Wilkinson.

If he ever stays healthy maybe he'll shows why he was a top ten pick back in 2008.

If he ever stays healthy maybe he'll shows why he was a top ten pick back in 2008.Well, even then he was overdrafted. He still should have been a 1st, but shouldn't have been a top 10 pick. At least that's what I gathered when I was looking him up after we traded for him.

Keith Rivers is the Hakeem Nicks of linebackers. Top 5 in his position when healthy, but could injure himself while sleeping...

I was suprised most mock drafts had him in the top 12. He just hasn't displayed the kind of talent worthy of that high a pick.

I feel like theres some plays were he stands out so much looks amazing and u wonder how he couldnt start on our team. But other plays its like he makes so many mistakes. I want to believe that if he stays healthy he will be a great starter for us. But he never progressed on the Bengals even for the short time he was healthy...

I disagree. Nicks in 4 years has missed only 8 games. No point in comparison.

If he stays healthy he has the talent to really be a factor. I'm very hopeful!

the common thread with him is his time off the field duw to this and that.
His potential means nothing...get on the field and stay there......

The new "Glassman"

Having said that let's hope this is the year he stays healthy because if he does he will be very productive

My prediction for Keith Rivers is that he'll have an All-Star type three quarters in the season opener, collecting 1 sack, 1 int and 2 FFs.

He'll then stub his toe switching sides on the field to begin the 4th quarter and will never be heard from again.

Could see him getting his hand broken shaking hands after the first game next season....

In all seriousness I think he could be the perfect fit in our LB core with JWill and then if we find a MLB for the future we would be set.

First thing I want to know is who are the backups for the OLBs, because they both have histories of injuries.

It would be the first time that has happened. He pretty much disappeared after the first couple of games......which was the knock he had in Cincy.

That play was impressive and he was all over the field that game. I was one of his biggest supporters too but sadly it just looked like he wasn't built to play football in the NFL. Heh or just plain bad sucking luck.

Rivers is a waste of a roster spot. i wouldnt go as far as saying that considering we have noone else amd reese couldnt draft a good line backer for the life of him. If he has a year like last year then yea let him go but we dont have anyone as it is

J Will - Connor - Rivers.. yea soak it up, it's beautifulI like your thinking.

All I can say is these guys, Rivers, Connor and some of the other usual suspects, better be staying in good shape during this offseason, before minicamps, OTAs and Training camp starts. We don't want to hear the dreaded hammy or groin injuries, oh and lets not forget about the tight/stiff backs. And I lets keep our fingers crossed that the letters ACL or MCL stay far away from the Giants preseason!
