Dan Conner is a stud, he just hasn't shown it yet despite being in the league for 4 years. And our pass rush will be back, who needs new cornerbacks?

Hopefully Cweb and Hosley step up this year

Those positions are pretty packed

Prince will move to the 1st WR, leaving an easier job for Webster. Hosley will be better. And if Connor stays healthy that is an upgrade from Blackburn.

No need for CB's. We have "Ross Island".

I thought the Cb's were fine and didnt think the Giants needed to draft one, as for Lb's if they didnt take one high whats the point? No 5th or 6th round Lb would be starting.

Ross island is better than Tryon island

Im hoping Masau sticks. J Will staying healthy would be huge.

Rivers is decent when hes (rarely) on the field. Maybe Boley is brought back.

CB they have like 5 guys now who have started for them, I think next draft they will be looking at CB early

I actually like Ross if he can stay healthy.

That's our problem with the linebackers and the corners. Our starters really aren't as bad as everyone makes them out to be, however our depth has been absolutely horrible.

Oh I thought you were being sarcastic, I don't really trust Ross but he isn't horrible.

He just is terrible all regular season. Until the playoff push or playoffs, then hes a beast?

Which of course, is why the Jags signing him was idiotic.

Ebenezer Samuel ‏@ebenezersamuel 2m
Coughlin admits Giants "weren't able to get the corner situation" in this draft. Indicates each time they picked, it just didn't quite match

I have high hopes for Ross actually. I think stepping away for a year and returning here gives him an opportunity to maybe re-focus his career a bit. Or he'll just suck and be gone next year lol.

Yes I was being sarcastic about Ross Island. But I do think he can play.

Even though Rhodes was available at 19.

Giants play a lot of off-man, which Rhodes really struggles with.

Tom Coughlin said it just didn't work out for drafting corners. Said there was a guy they liked better at each pick.

Oh wow, he can't play zone?

Zone he can play, thats what he will be playing a lot of in Minnesota. But zone is just backpeddle, plant, drive.

Where Rhodes really struggles is flipping his hips with receivers, and he grabs the heck out of them when he does it.

When Reese said he doesn't care about sexy picks, he really meant that

Playable CBs under contract for 2014:

Amukamara
Hosley

Teams run 3 wide or more 60% of the time. Why not defend that with scrubs, retreads or rookies ?

With webster and ross at the corner, we might be giving up some big plays. We need help at both LB and CB. We could have waited for a qb either next year or thereafter.

When Corey Toaster starts getting burned Jerry Reech may regret neglecting a glaring need and wasting a pick on a mediocre QB.
