There is not one Giant penciled in as a starter where you can say if he duplicated last seasons effort, the team would be satisfied,

Health, I guess? Prince was one of the few bright spots last season.

If Prince doesnt improve, the Giants are in real troubleThis is not just from me but he was roundly considered one of the better corners in the league in just his second year. Perhaps you pulled a Rip Van Winkle on us and took a long nap after his rookie season? :D

Eli, Beatty, JPP, Prince, David Wilson, Cruz... All great effort last year.

Beatty was a top 10 Tackle in the league last year. JPP was the best run defending 4-3 DE in the league. There's a tape of all of Prince's plays last year on youtube and he was shutting people down. Cruz is Cruz enough said. And if Wilson had more snaps he would have had a HUGE impact. Not many teams can list that many players.

You just derailed your own thread with this comment. How do you expect anyone to take you seriously when you say this? Did you watch any games last year? Prince is gearing up for another good year and the least of ouf worries.

I love Prince. I think he had an excellent year. However we have to consider the Nnamdi Asomugha effect. Nnamdi was considered elite but he had crap CBs next to him which QBs targeted. Webster was the worst CB in the league last year so even if Prince wasn't targeted, it didn't mean he didn't leave his guy.

But even considering that I think Prince will be one of the league's top CBs soon.

I think Nicks left it all on the field last year and never once cried or complained or made excuses.

I think Prince and Beatty were outstanding last year. You would never guess it because our o-line and CB core as a whole were awful.

Actually, Andre Brown comes to mind until he was injured. Stevie Brown's interceptions would be nice to have again although he does need to play his position much better and hopefully will. David Wilson on returns would be a welcome repeat, Steve Weatherford as well.

Eli was rubbish for a large stretch of it. Was it three consecutive games without throwing a single touchdown?

It was a season we had in our grasp and let go of the rope.

I think we would all like to see continued improvement from him, although he played well last year.

Team would be satisfied if Cruz duplicated last year. Still put up damn good numbers. Can't expect 1500 yards every season.

Yeah it's funny how his numbers are often viewed as a negative (usually in the Cruz contract threads). 1000yds/10TDs is nothing to sniff at.

I'm looking forward to Nicks and Cruz both having a 1,000 yard 2013

Prince was probably their defensive MvP and Beatty their offensive MVP. That does not mean that everyone else played bad. Joseph was solid but alone. JPP was solid but alone. Hill was good in his limited action. Wilson looked good when he played as did Brown. Cruz had a good season. Randle was just a rookie but showed promise.

The play of the Prince is why Webby got worked over last year.
