as potential landing spot. Could happen tonight. He also mentioned the Jags are in the mix as well.

Interesting, if he comes aboard the LB stable all of a sudden would get crowded. That been said that doesn't mean our LBs are getting " better " but the competition is going to get hot, who knows but I hope it fields decent starters and backups for the season.

Yea I seen that tweet. If he could financially fit here I say why the heck not? It's not like we've got the A-team of linebackers around here

We might be down to one Snickers Bar lol If the Big Mac is on sale we're in like Flynn

Bishop would be a welcomed addition in my eyes. He can actually play some LB and has played some LB for GB. We need some more experience at the position. And, iirc, he's still a younger player and I wouldn't classify him as a bust either. I wonder why GB didn't try to retain him...

update on bishop
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/06/20/bishop-says-giants-are-interested-too/ This could mean 2 completely different things. Either he is getting no love from the teams he was trying to narrow or there are more teams interested and his value is expanding. Interesting to see how this plays out.

Could be a big move if he comes here. A bit surprised as early reports were the Vikes were all over him.

I think this would be an excellent pick up, he would easily be one of the better backers on this team.

If we got him cheap it would remind me of the kawika Mitchell signing in certain aspects

This makes so much sense for us.. Bishop adds that much needed toughness and attitude to our LB group. Get it done, Reese.

He'd be the best lb on our team. Was in a 3-4 scheme in GB but is decent in coverage. Would be an awesome pickup. Really hope we land this guy. Could be a force in the middle

I'd see him going to Vikes or chiefs. Chiefs have a good amount of cap space.

He didn't do much last year and if my memory serves me right, and didn't do much last year. Tell you what, I'd bring him in and take a look but he's not someone that I am excited about. RIvers and Curry are more intriguing to me.

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, former Packers linebacker Desmond Bishop (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4403/desmond-bishop) is “still deciding (https://twitter.com/RapSheet/statuses/348163909288603649)” between offers from the Giants, Chiefs and Vikings.

At this point, I'd take a look at Bishop Desmond Tutu if he were interested 746

5 teams are interested and we are only 3 million left in cap space. You do the math.

The thinking is no matter where he goes he's getting a 1 year deal, and will use this season to prove his true worth.

He's going to a team that a) is in search of a long term answer at MLB, and b) has a chance to compete for a Super Bowl.

No doubt we fit that description.

PS - I know literally nothing about this guy. My comments are based solely on hearing his interview on Sirius NFL the other day.

He's a good player and if healthy likely has plenty in the tank. The only caveat is that he comes from a 3-4 system into a 4-3, so:

1) where would he fit?
2) how much of a learning curve is it for a guy likely signing a 1-year deal.

I'd say the odds of him coming here are maybe 10% given our tight money situation.

What we do offer is a good chance to make the starting lineup, and a winning history.

Desmond played the middle role in 2010. He very well could be our middle linebacker if we sign him. But I don't think the Giants will sign him since they committed the middle linebacker position to Connor and Herzlich. Those two will play the position without a doubt.
