this next week, I'm moving out west to Reno. my health has deteriorated to the point that my wife can't do it alone helping me when I have medical problems. Gonna miss you guys, being on the east coast. Again, I'll find myself deep in enemy territory which could work out in the long run because that place in 49 market and I can get the dirty info pretty darn quick on our arch rivals.

But it was fun while it lasted and here's to a great prosperous life to all of you.

Cheers!

it won't bro but thanks. the docs are scared because my body is effectively dying of mal-nutrition. long story short, the military removed 15 feet of small bowel which, as you know, is where our bodies absorb nutrients. we have about 20 feet total of small, 4 feet of large. so you can see the inherent problems.

But I'm making the best of it. I'm unemployable, i have no issue telling you all this, we are family. But that's where I'm at. just trying to stay alive.

Best of luck to you. Not to sound harsh but don't count on strangers to genuinely sympathize with you just because they root for the same team. I lost a family member this week, someone who was loved by many and it'll be quite evident if you were a friend of mine in real life or on Facebook. I came on the board to tell my so called Gfam and only one person responded. No big deal... at least I know not to waste my time here. I hope everything works out for you and never give up hope regardless what the Dr says. Some things are incurable, very sad but we are just mere humans living a life on borrowed time. Just keep the faith, stay strong, laugh often, make lots of memories and don't ever stop living until your body gives in. I mean this and I don't even know you... good luck.

With that said, I don't think your post is appropriate.I'm gonna leave it alone because I don't wanna start a debate in this guy's thread. I certainly didn't appreciate being ignored after I poured my heart out but I should've expected it on this board. I was infuriated and if they wanna ban me, go right ahead.

condolences.. sorry for your loss as wellI only posted maybe 6 or 7 times this week, give or take. The bulk of my comments was on Monday, the day after Father's Day (the day she passed). Trust me I am hurt, I just do a good job of covering up my feelings.

I'm sorry to hear that man, and I'll be sure to keep you in my prayers. Even though I don't think we've conversed much, I find it admirable that you think so highly of the board collectively to view us in a manner of kinship. Your optimism and positive outlook is refreshing, and one that I hope goes a long way for you in your miraculous recovery. My father is also having problems with his health, so I can just imagine the stress on your family, and I hope they remain strong as well.

And Burner, sorry for your loss as well. I did a little digging and saw that your post was tucked away in a Father's Day thread, which is one that I never viewed (as I'm sure many others overlooked, too). I can imagine losing your sister is an incredibly tough loss for you, and I can only hope that you and your family remain strong as you mourn. If you don't mind me asking, did her cancer go into remission at any point in the thirteen years?

Come on folks. How can we possibly turn this thread into a debate?!
We have all lost dearly loved ones. Each heartbreak is the worst than the rest.
Today, I posted a note on FB about my little brother that passed last year because he was a big Blackhawks fan. I expect nothing in return. I only hope to heal the painful wound by occasionally voicing my feelings. So to all that have struggles..giant-4-life and BurnerNYG included, stay strong...judge not..and pass a little love in life and leave a little love when ya pass...

I'm sorry to hear that man! I know how tough bowel issues can be. I am a cancer surviver and I've had yards upon yards of small bowel removed plus from all the radiation I have trouble absorbing nutrients and I have lots of adhesions; very painful. That said, one of the things that has helped me most is my PICC line. If you ever want to PM and talk, please do. Good luck my friend.
