None of them are adequate replacements.

We wouldn't replace Nicks with an FA. If Nicks walks next year, it will be Ruben Randle in 2014.

People of little faithhhhhh.
It's crazy!!! just yesterday Cruz was signed. I figured we would have a period of a couple days before people would start freaking out.
It's been a day and "some" are already looking for options to replace Nicks...smh
It's been such a long offseason!!!!!!!! wow!

So you think a light weight deal for Randy Moss?

Nicks most likely will get a tag.

Rueben Randle will be better then everyone of those highlighted.

I agree. I would even roll the dice on Louis Murphy than 99% of that list.

I'm a homer but ummmm .... you're talking about a guy who will be battling for a roster spot, much less cracking the starting lineup.

Nicks will either have a long term deal our a franchise tag...

You're right, but most of those receivers are going to be resigned by their respective team. Narrows down the list a little bit, leaving some that have less potential than Murphy. Murphy looks pretty explosive, I mean I guess it could just be me being hopeful. Plus, we have Randle locked up. I'm really not worried about the Nicks situation.

Why would we be replacing Nicks next year? Franchise tag...which if we use on him, means they are negotiating a long-term contract anyway, because that's how the Giants do business. The only way he walks straight up is if he has another injury-plagued year, and we don't feel comfortable making that investment long-term.

Exactly. This thread is pointless.

The only way he walks straight up is if he has another injury-plagued year, and we don't feel comfortable making that investment long-term. Nicks should be very willing to sign a reasonable long term contract. Otherwise, he has two seasons to play with no guarantees for following seasons. With his injury history that's not good for him. If he wasn't worried about that, he would have been at OTAs.
