not only did he break the single season receiving yards record for the NY Football Giants

...but his 5 TD of at least 65 yds is second in NFL history

...and he is the first player with 4 TDs of more than 70 yds since Otis Taylor in 1966

...and his 18.7 yds per catch was the highest among the 72 players with at least 50 catches

not bad for an 8th rounder huh?

He also seems to be really humble and down to earth, hopefully he stays grounded. I love to see a local guy with a story like his "make it". Best of luck to the kid!!

This guy is going to be a solid No. 2 WR with Nicks for years to come. Sorta like the Toomer and Hilliard combo but a lot better and more potent....

why do say a solid #2?? With his play he will be the #1 or there will be no # designaitons between he and Nicks.

I hope he maintains his humility as he rises to the top of the NFL as a permanent member of the New York Football Giants.

Did NBC add the salsa music when he did his TD celebration or was that playing at Giants Stadium?

basball works wiht no cap and I know you read the boards so you know the Giants over paid for some of the free agents. Also how are they over their cap last season by being cheap??

I really hope we extend him either in the offseason or during next season. There should be no reason he should hit the FA market.

It'll be Nicks and Cruz for years to come. I love MM as well and hope he stays. And just being greedy, I hope Jernigan turns into a Steve Smith type player for us. And I would also like to trade for Calvin Johnson.

His big play ability is simply devastating to the opponents.

Not only that, but he seems (at least to me) to have an innate ability to be able to adjust his body and/or position to the ball and then make the catch. In other words, as he's running and looking back for the ball, once he sees it, he can quickly calculate in his head where the ball is going to go and get there (assuming the ball is a little off target or he's bump off target or both).

To me, the guy is both smart and athletic and might just be a special player.
