Here's why he's a moron, do me a favor and read carefully why this guy is a tool.

MY TAKE: To begin with, this should have been a first down. Hicks caught the ball in the air and was contacted by Robinson at the Giants' 48-yard line and driven backwards. However, the head linesman spotted the ball at the 46.

HICKS YOU IDIOT?! HICKS? Stop writing articles.

And that wasn't a mistake... he wrote that plenty of times throughout the article, not just ONCE.

in the scope of the whole game and the way the defense for the Giants played the Falcons werent going to win that game either way. But it was an out of the ordinary call and it did have an impact on the Falcons drive.

Do you believe that crap this idiot Pereira is saying? Then I went on to Pereira's Fox web page and here is a comment he tweeted during the Broncos/Steelers game:
"that is interference. Can't play through the back of the receiver period. The pass was catchable.

Pereira is doing what he needs to do to continue drawing a check. If he often said that calls were not worth discussing, Fox would soon decide he wasn't worth paying. All he has to market are his opinions, which have credence because of his experience.

I think he overstated the impact that call had - I think the failure to give us the first down we earned just before halftime had a larger potential impact on the final score of the game.

who cares? what about the dirty pass interference on Nicks that didn't get called or the catch for a first down that didn't even get measured?

even though we didn't start clicking on offense until the 2nd half, we outplayed them and were the better team....I couldn't possibly give any less of a #### about any falcons fan or anyone else who thinks THIS is why they lost, they can cry about it until until they drown in their tears for all I care, I'm thinking about GB

I never liked the guy. Especially after he sent the letter of apology to the Giants for the non call on the holding during the 49's playoff game and then his refs continued to screw the Giants constantly.

I believe I heard the broadcaster say that Tom Coughlin complained about the Falcons having too many men in the huddle. They then concurred and made the call.
The Refs cost the Giants at least 7 points. Is any Atlanta fan going to say they got screwed because the refs penalized them for having too many men in the huddle. WHICH THEY DID?

Do you believe that crap this idiot Pereira is saying?

Not sure why the headline isn't "Strange calls cost both teams" instead of just the Falcons? The headline makes it sound like the Falcons were the only ones who got screwed...

he's got some crafty reverse engineering going on in his logic too.... assuming that same play and 14 yard gain would have happened if it were 3rd and 10.

1/4 way through the article he says " correct call" ... he should have stopped typing then. I used to like him years ago when he was there to clear up what the rules were - now he's nothing more than a politician.
