ROSS CLEARED TO PRACTICE (http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/giants/post/_/id/10717/ross-cleared-to-practice)

"New York Giants cornerback Aaron Ross passed the battery of
tests for a head injury and has been cleared to practice.

Head
coach Tom Coughlin said Ross will practice. Running back
D.J. Ware did not pass the protocol of tests for a concussion,
according to Coughlin. Ware has had concussions in the past and this doesn't
bode well for his availability for Sunday's game against Green Bay.

If
Ware is not cleared to play, rookie Da'Rel Scott could be
active as the third running back.

Coughlin said running back
Ahmad Bradshaw will sit out today's practice. Bradshaw
typically sits out the first two practices each week as part of his routine to
rest his foot. Coughlin also said linebacker Mark Herzlich
(ankle) will not practice."

Oh I hope I don't smell a mistake by Scott if he gets a small shot, but good news on Ross

The first two words I thought of re: Scott: "blocking" and "fumbling"

The odds of a draw being called have significantly decreased.

Ross is a decent player who gets a lot of flack on these boards. I would like to see him press Jones or Nelson at the line and get physical with them.

I've seen a lot of sub-standard play from him, but a) I am glad he's ok, and b) I'd rather have more options than less, especially since I'm not sold on the prince just yet.

VERY good news on Ross -- it's been great the he's been dependable over the past few weeks.

Let's see what Scott can do. I remember that AB started making his mark during the '07 playoffs.

Is Ware is out they'll miss his skill at picking up the blitz. Not sure how well Scott does on that. Bardshaw would have to be in on obvious passing downs

As much as I hate the draw..it works pretty often, especially with Ware in the shotgun formation.

At times during last game, when I felt like we were going to run the draw i was hoping it would be Ware over AB/BJ lol

Good news with Ross. What ever you say about him he is the starter and they need all in!!

Bummed about Ware only because he had made some key plays the last bunch of games and is realiable as to what he does and how he does it. Scott is an unknown which may turn out to be a good thing......hopefully....
