I'm very upset that two of my favorite posters are at odds with each other.

We need to get Latino and FBomb to kiss and make up.* With tongues if necessary.

The issue is this asinie thread.* He asked for confrontation and, me not agreeing with his choice to start such an asinine thread, was only happy to oblige him.

You certainly must admit that he could have gotten his point across without all the chest thumping in the title.* It's celebratory in nature and no one should celebrate this past*performance.

He's very provocative.* And he's bold in his language.* When did that become a bad thing?

It makes his posts more interesting and I think thats good on a MB.

And don't forget that this was a result of a previous thread a few weeks ago where he was called every name in the book for suggesting that Eli should protect the ball better.* I understand his resentment of that.* I was called a few things there for suggesting the same thing.

Of course, I'm more "evolved".

I had nothing to do with what happened a few weeks ago, but it*sounds he's too sensetive to be posting his opinion if it leads to threads like this.* Again...this thread is celebrating the bad play of our team.* SAYING Eli played badly is one thing...taking pleasure*in it just so you can rub it in someone's face that you were right is quite another.*

I never*said he was a "bad poster", and I ususally don't challange his opinionsd,*but*THIS thread deserves what it gets.

Highlight where to you it shows that I was celebrating the bad plays.. Highlight where I taking pleasure with what happened ...I'll wait.. Bet you won't find nothing. You'll just copy and paste something that I posted and give it your own definition to it because that's how you are. Let's see it...

Here, i'll help you..

I want to know what you think of his play today.. Hmm, that says I want all the die hard Eli fans who've bashed me a few weeks ago to come back and share their opinions of his play..

Then...Although I think we lost as a team, the most embarrassing part of it all was the bonehead plays I kept telling you about a few weeks ago..... Hmm, as mentioned before, this post was directed mainly for the Eli lovers that bashed me a few weeks ago..

Wait, before you even say it, "this thread said, "All Eli supporters right"? Yeah, its a message board so all Eli supporters are welcomed to come in and chat...

Bottomline....you came in and made up your own thought about what you thought I was saying.. You lied and said that i created this thread to celebrate the bad performance, and was happy with the play.. blah blah blah...

It seems like to me starting off negative is normal for you. Signs of drama in your life. Whatever though...

C'mon guys. Please keep it civil, or at least semi-civil

No need to attack each other and get personal about it. Stick to the topic.

And to throw myself into the fray, I still support Eli, but you've got to admit one thing: While he has improved every year, 21(and counting) total turnovers in a season at this point in his career is completely and totally unnacceptable. He has personally cost this team 2 wins(Dallas, Philly) because of the turnovers. I know not all of the INT's are his fault, because you can't neccessarily pin deflections off of the receivers' hands on the QB, but he is still largely to blame for the current state of this disheveled offense.

Again, I'm still very much in his corner, and as long as he's a Giant, I'll always cheer him on, but he's making it tougher and tougher to defend him against the retractors. You simply can't write off the huge number of mental errors he keeps making. The Super Bowl was 3 years ago, and while it was a fantastic time for all of us, he doesn't get a lifetime free pass for it.

Whether you guys realize it or not, the playoffs, at this point, are NOT a lock by any stretch. The NFC South is sporting 3 VERY strong teams, and only one of them is winning that division. The other 2 could very well snag the two WC spots. 10 wins may not be enough to get in.

Dude, we're alright. We all just want the same thing.. Success.. Protecting the ball on offense. Turnovers on defense and smart playmaking decisions. We have too much talent to be losing like this. We all react in different ways but at the end of the day we're all human. As long as it doesn't get way out of control, I think we posters mean well. We just express our feelings differently..

I understand completely. Was only trying to keep things from escalating, because around here, it happens rather quickly, and rather frequently.

I never dwell on games, but I've got to admit that I can't get the picture of Eli fumbling that ball away out of my head. Pure idiocy. At the same time, the rule about sliding/diving forward is one of the dumbest ever. What is the difference if a QB slides or dives ahead? If he's down and gets touched, he's DOWN, or at least thats what logic would determine. Leave it to the NFL to create such an idiotic rule that differentiates what a QB can do when he runs with the ball.

I get the sliding rule. The feet-first means he's not trying for additional yardage and the ball is spotted where it was when his butt hits the ground. If you allow the head-first, then you're allowing the QB to squeeze every last yard out of the play while the defense isn't allowed to defend it. Of course, Eli's "slide" resembled a cross between a high-jump landing and a man throwing himself off a bridge. There's no bigger Eli fan than I am, none - but there's no reason he can't learn to effing slide. His Dad had the option of going pro as a shortstop, so the concept of sliding should not be beyond him.

Eli - Come on man!

I'm kind of missing the point. He didn't dive head first - he hit the ground parallel with the stripes -just threw himself onto the ground. Whatever you choose to call it, it was butt-ugly.

I am a Eli fan and even though he stinks up the field some days, he still has my support. Every QB has bad games every season and I'm not going to ditch him over that. This season while he's turned the ball over 21 times, i don't blame the the team's losses on him. With The constant fumbles by our RB's and tipped balls off our WR's hands into the arms of the waiting defense,I have toruble pinning the blame solely on him. Regardless we have the #1 defense and #2 offense in the league(Said during the eagles game). What is killing us is turnovers and special teams. Dodge has shown improvement but he still flakes out once in awhile. our return game is atrocious. Blackmon gives me a heart attack every time he goes to receive a kick. Look we held the "Godly Vick" to just a field goal 3 times in the red zone last week. The defense kept us in the game. if we stop giving the other team short field, we can be leading the division. We ARE a dangerous team. We beat ourselves with stupid mistakes. If we can limit those then we are the team to beat.

Since I've not heard or read any one (including Eli) say this, there may be nothing to it, but what it looked like to me at the time--and upon seeing vid clips, still looks like it to me--is that by the time he realized he needed to go down (2 DBs bearing down on him and his synapses finally registered that he had he 1st down), he WANTED to slide, but his forward momentum was overriding his motion to put his feet froward. And that's why he ended up nearly parallel to the yard line when he landed. He hit the ground before his legs moved under him.

That has nothing to do with his fumbling--for which there IS no excuse--and has nothing to do with questioning the rule.

It's just that that occurred to me at the time--kind of a body-not-doing-what-the-brain-tells-it-to situation, but I guess I'm reading too much into it.

Eli played poorly and it has been discussed in SEVERAL threads before your chest pumping drama thread. I even started one ranting about his play in this game and the Cowboy game. I even went on to even say that Eli lost the Philly game for us. Many factors helped put us in that position, but it was the mistakes Eli made himself that made the game unwinnable. ANY reasonable fan pro or against Eli could see that.

Starting a thread saying people were hiding was not only false, but a really dumb way to try and make a point.

He definately didn't dive head first but it wasn't suppose to be the way it ended. Nobody touched him and he fumbled . That alone was pathetic enough.

Try rereading what I have already written a little bit slower so you can understand my point.* A thread such as this is, by nature, is celebatory.* I'm sorry if that is over your head, but it is what it is.

Again....staying away from threads I have a problem with goes against what this board is all about.* I don't like these kind of threads and, as I have the right to do here, I commented on it.* Stop being a sensitive little girl.* I don't have to like everything you post (lately it's been about 60-40)....[:|]

You could have gotten your point across in a much better way without wanting to rub people's noses in what YOU percieve as being "right" about Eli.*

*

*

Again, you're putting your own definition as to what this thread is saying. You can continue to try and be right all you want but you're far from it.

You don't like these types of threads but you come on here acting an ***** instead of just dropping a few lines on the topic itself. Also, don't tell me to stop being a sensitive little girl when you come on here whinning like a little biotch...I'm not asking you to like anything I post so carry on son.

I couldve gotten my point across in a much better way? No, you wanted me to say everything good about Eli and nothing bad about him. That's the way it is with posters like you. You're one-sided. You only want people to say good things about your beloved hero and when someone like myself say anything bad about him, that's when you want to act like a sensitive little girl. :)

I'm not going to sugar coat anything I say about anyone on this team just to make you happy. Like it or leave cuz it ain't going anywhere. So as I mentioned numerous times before, if you don't like it, don't read it. You can't do anything about it anyways..

Going back to the topic, we have the Jags this week. Obviously Eli is our leader and has to start leading by example. So with that said, if Eli doesn't start having good games from here on out, we're doomed. As Tuck says, he feels now the defense has to carry this team because the offense obviously can't do it at this point. Sad, but that's been the problem for a few years now.

Our season offensively depends on protecting the ball. Interceptions have to stop. That's the biggest problem right now. So, lets hope Eli gets this offense going ...

So you dont support the QB of our team? Good to know.. GTFO LOSER WHIMP.

Should i post a picture of me wearing both my Manning jerseys? Would that make you feel better? I didn't bash Eli like you're saying I did.. Just brought out a fact that said he costed us our last shot at winning, that we lost as a team, that our offense depends solely on Eli playing well consistently. So, if yo want, go back to the first few pages and re-read what I said, gather your thoughts, drink a nice glass of rum and coke, and come back and let me know how you feel.. See ya soon.

Eli will be ready to put up this week, will the recievers be on his side or the Jaguars side, don't need any tipped ints this week, just solid basic throw and catch, would be a nice change of pace for the GMEN.

Let's see them win the turnover battle and get this thing rolling.

Exactly...I do feel Eli will be prepared to lead us to another good performance as he did a few weeks ago when he and the rest of the offense protected the ball perfectly. As long as the throws are right on the money, our receivers shouldn't have any excuses to drop it. Our o-line needs to start opening up holes and receivers need to block better. I see our running game having a big day on claytons side. Bradshaw will come in and win his job back with a 140 yard performance and clayton catching 8 passes for 110 yards and 2 tds...Lets go Giants.

This has to be one of the weakest bash threads ever.

So Eli, the QB that is getting mediocore blocking and mediocore to poor run blocking for the running game to effect his passing coverage, that guy is the problem?

Wow he makes two big mistakes, actually one, b/c the Cowboys game mistake was a simple he didn't just fall on the ball mistake, happens to anyone. But the Eagles mistake he loses a ball scrambling for the 1st down to save the drive.

Forget that his 3rd WR drops an easy ball, forget that Nicks missed a run block assignment, forget that the D made mental errors, forget that Manningham and Nicks were getting blanketed by 2 defenders at a time b/c the Eagles didn't worry about the run game, forget that the always reliable Kevin Boss dropped a gimme 1st down.

I've been watching our team for weeks. Eli isn't the problem. Eli is more your scapegoat than he is a problem. I'd say right now aside from Justin Tuck and Terrell Thomas and Corey Webster stopping the YAC and run tackling, Eli is one of the more solid things we have left on this team.

Now they aquired him exp. at the WR, to make sure they help in the run blocking and actually make simple plays like catching a screen pass or keeping thier foots in bound when a pass is thrown to them, or actually first getting past a 3rd down marker before making the catch. Clayton provides that. WR Devin Thomas has upside, former 1st rd. pick who could resurrect his still young career and might challenge Mario for the 3rd WR job, I'd say Clayton in experience alone gets it. But again Eli supporters aren't hiding nor do they need to hide, b/c he's not a problem, but stat geeks read his int numbers and assume he is.

I don't have a problem with this thread, and I'm a big Eli supporter - an Ole Miss fan even - been a Giants fan since I was 8 and Conerly and Patton were Giants.

Eli does need to sharpen his game and minimize his mistakes for us to keep in the playoff race - especially while guys recover from injuries.

I've thought Latino has been off-base in the past, but not here. Eli can't be faulted for effort, but he's capable of performing better. He is certainly not the problem with the team, but his errors have been a problem. Totally agree with you here bro..I believe in Eli still and hope he can lead us in a good direction from now on. We can't keep playing like this if we expect to make it to the playoffs. It will not work. The entire offense stinks and needs to immediately make an improvement but unfortunately for Eli he's the leader of the offense so it starts with him. He's the one committing most of the mistakes so he has the most improving to do. Even before the injuries he was making bonehead mistakes so I dont want to hear about injuries.

*sigh*......my problem comes for the nature of the thread, nothing more.*Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it's made up or asinine.* It is what it is.* I made up nothing.* It's a celebatory thread.* A MB version of "Na na na na na"* You're certainly not the first poster I've had this conversation with......and not the first to not get it.

Eli played poorly and it has been discussed in SEVERAL threads before your chest pumping drama thread.* I even started one ranting about his play in this game and the Cowboy game.* I even went on to even say that Eli lost the Philly game for us.* Many factors helped put us in that position, but it was the mistakes Eli made himself that made the game unwinnable.* ANY reasonable fan pro or against Eli could see that.*

Starting a thread saying people were hiding was not only false, but a really dumb way to try and make a point.

Nobody cares about what your problem is or what the nature of this thread means to you. 98% of the posters on here threw in their two cents about Eli. That was the point. You're trying to convince me and every other poster that logs into this thread that it's celebratory but you've yet to show anything proving I was celebrating. Give it up son. And by the way, what in that post you just quoted made it seem like I lashed out like a mental patient? Your childish pot shots aren't working either kid.
so your not celebrating the fact that you were right about eli a few weeks ago? i see where fbomb is coming from.

eli needs to get it together fast. With our depleted wr corps it is NOT going to get any easier for him and we just dont have the talent on the field right now to overcome bonehead plays like we did during our win streak. I love eli but for a 100 mil dollar qb he sure doesnt play like one most of the time.

NO....I'm just mad that he doesn't say anything nice about Eli!!!![;)]

Just forget it....I tried to make it as simple as possible to understand, and yet he is STILL lashing out like a mental patient.because I said something negative about this thread.......it's obvious that he's too stubborn or too stupid to understand it.* Lost cause!!

You win LSF...I'm exhausted from your inability or refusal to understand.*

I never say anything Nice about Eli? You're nuts. When he plays well, i praise him as if he was better than Brady. When he stinks it up I let him have it. That's the perks of having the hot or cold qb we have but its all we have so I'll accept it. Problem is, you're going to have to accept the good and bad post about him too.

But do you act like a 5 year old girl* and *make a thread calling out the Eli bashers like you did with this thread?

When did I call out the Eli bashers?

what are your thoughts now? Quit hiding. I want to know what you think of his play today. Although I think we lost as a team but the most embarrassing thing was the same bonehead plays i kept telling you about a few weeks ago.. Where are you? Here you go FBOMB.. Start here.

Wow....you just lash out like a mental patient when you're challanged!!! You need meds.

*

Be real. What's your take on Eli's play so far?

Eli made an idiotic decision with that non-slide. I'd give him a mulligan if this was his first time. But, this is the 2nd time he's done it, and the 2nd time to the Eagles, of all teams. So he deserves all the crap in the world.

I give him credit for getting the team back into the game, but he and the rest of the offense are just too damn careless sometimes.

But, I'm a big Eli fan....you look at what he's done so far in his career, I'm not going to let a bad decision shade my opinion too much.

All the Eli bashers were pretty damn quiet until just recently.

But Eli is going to shut people up again....he's going to pull a page out of Brady's playbook and score points with some scrub WR's.

11-5 baby....book it, thanks in large part to what Eli is going to put together down the stretch.

Im an Eli fan. Great QB, great skills, great analysis at the line, great in the clutch, great as a sb mvp, GREAT IN THE 2010 PLAYOFFS ! !

Guess you don't watch too many Giants games in England.. Great in 2010? At what?i havent missed a giants game in years in answer to your 1st question. As for your 2nd, he's at the top in td passes and will be great in the 2010 season run in and playoffs. Mannings ability as a qb is great. i remember watching qbs like brown, kanell and they were awfull. Simms had some awfull games for us, and he's a Giant legend. Eli is fighter, sounds like your not, having given up on him and the season.

With all the mistakes manning has made this season is not ALL bad so far

for instance,

his completion percentage of 65.6 is higher then other QBs like Aaron Rogers, Phillip Rivers, and yep even Payton manning so this is a real excellent sign that Eli is in fact becoming a more accrurate QB

also, Eli has tossed 21 TDs which is also amount he league leaders...yes he needs to tone down those INT's and fumbles, but in actuality Eli has had a pretty good year throwing the ball

while its easy to dwell on the negatives....it would be nice is people here would try and focus on the postives for a change

Here's some positives for you for this year. Not from the 2007 Eli ok..First of all, I like how Eli is never rattled. When the going gets tough, you know Eli will stand their and battle. That's what makes me an Eli supporter. His deep ball is very nice when he throws it to Nicks. When he has 3 to 4 seconds of protection, he throws the ball very well. I love his work ethic and his ability to SOMETIMES take control of the game.

Here's the bad. Still throwing in traffic, still throwing a lot of interceptions, still underthrowing balls, still overthrowing them, still fumbling when he slides head first, and still throwing off his back foot and staring receivers down..He's very predicatable. This is his 7th year in the league. The rookie mistakes have to stop NOW. Im going to support him like I always do and will suck it up when he makes a mistake..Just be prepared to hear from me either way. Good or bad. He's a giant, and for that Im glad he's our man..

This right here! The problem with Eli is the lack of consistency! Brady, Bree's, Peyton, Aaron Rodgers, Mike Vick all give You consistency at the QB position. You know exactly what You are going to get from them when they step on the field pretty much game in and game out. With Eli it's Jeckyll or Hyde with him. A 100 million dollar QB should not be turning in Jeckyll & Hyde performances! Mike Strahan said in a recent radio interview when Eli backs up to pass he has to hold his breath! I saw Strahan's comments. He said he used to hold his breath when Eli dropped back - he said that is no longer the case.

You say you know exactly what you are getting from those quarterbacks pretty much. I guess that must mean they are consistent but sometimes have a bad game or make some bad plays. Well, so does Eli.

And you mistakenly included Mike Vick in your list of consistent quarterbacks.

Yep...it's funny, though. You would've thought that because Indy's coaches knew that Peyton was gonna throw that pick to end the SB that they would've maybe put the back-up in or try running the ball or something. It just doesn't make sense that they would've trotted him out there knowing he was gonna end the game for them.

Eli is fighter, sounds like your not, having given up on him and the season. Nope, haven't given up on him yet. Just not impressed with his numbers and bonehead mistakes.

This is the erratic Nature of Eli!

Very good points! Watch out though. Some posters take offense to what you say about Eli. I've said that so many times. Here's a quick statement though....... He is who he is man. He's our qb and we have to support him no matter how inconsistent he's been. That's my message to all the posters on here that don't like it when I come on here pointing out the good and bad when talking about Eli.

Thr poblem is you only make threads bashing him and are never around when the going is good. Making this thread is acting like a 5 year old girl..

Some of the stuff You quoted is the reason he was voted one of the most overrated players in the league! His peers don't really respect or fear his game! The book on Eli is to shut down that running game and put the ball in his hands and he will give the opposing team's defense a couple of gifts! That's the strategy defenseive coordiantor's use when playing us. Again's t good teams, it's worked!

This is the erratic Nature of Eli!

Mike Vick has been consistent this year! He hasn't made any stupid mistakes with the exception of the Justin tuck sack fumble. He has taken care of the football and hasn't put it in harms way! Iam not saying that that's going to last, but just going off of what he has done so far! Strahan made the comment on sat radio about a week or so ago! That was his comment in light of all the Eli turnovers!

Told you people won't like it. HAHAHA You made a great point that made sense. It's all about ball protection and smart decision making. Problem is people here still think they can use the 2007 playoff run as their source of info when sticking up for Eli this year. It's 2010. What's the offense doing now?

There you went and soiled things again Latino. You used my post as an example of people falling back on the 2007 playoff run to defend Eli. Huh? Apparently, you didn't read my post before commenting on it.

Furthermore, Vick was the only QB listed as being more a model of consistency that I took objection to.

And Strahan's full statement was as I stated.

The Giants have a problem with turnovers and Eli is a big part of that.

Try to be a little more accurate - gain a little consistency.

What are you talking about dude? I never onced dissagreed with anything you said. I only was saying people will bash you with info on Eli's 2007 season instead of using what's going on now.

He definately needs to improve. The turnovers have to stop. We'll see today when the Jaguars line up against us. Don't forget though, he's not the only one that has to improve. The entire oline needs to open up holes and wrs need to catch the balls. No fumbles either and we need defensive turnovers and our defense also needs to score. We can't depend on the offense at this point.

Oh I agree. Our running game has to improve. Also I beleive our defense must become a take away scoring defense! If we can get at least 2 take aways similiar to the Justin Tuck sack fumble in the Jags territory, then we have an excellent shot at winning this game. Truth be told, If we want to win the division and secure a playoff spot, I beleive we are going to have to win all 6 games to do it. I don't think 10-6 this year will cut it with all of the other NFC teams with 6,7 & 8 wins. Right now we are only in th hunt! Amazing what 2 losses can do to Your standing. We went from Division leaders to just being in the hunt.

You're absolutely right. Even Justin Tuck said something similar. Just like the 2007 defense did during the playoff stretch, the defense now has to take control. We aren't hurting too bad on defense so they need to pick it up. We can't expect our offense to do much right now. All im asking is for Eli and the rest of the offense to just play smart football. If you don't have it, don't force it. No dropped passes and no fumbles. SMART FOOTBALL. Protect the ball. Time of possesion is key too. Keep our d off the field. Not too many 3 and outs.

*sigh*......my problem comes for the nature of the thread, nothing more.Just because you don't understand it doesn't mean it's made up or asinine. It is what it is. I made up nothing. It's a celebatory thread. A MB version of "Na na na na na" You're certainly not the first poster I've had this conversation with......and not the first to not get it.

Nobody cares about what your problem is or what the nature of this thread means to you. 98% of the posters on here threw in their two cents about Eli. That was the point. You're trying to convince me and every other poster that logs into this thread that it's celebratory but you've yet to show anything proving I was celebrating. Give it up son. so your not celebrating the fact that you were right about eli a few weeks ago? i see where fbomb is coming from.

eli needs to get it together fast.

Just forget it....I tried to make it as simple as possible to understand, and yet he is STILL lashing out like a mental patient.because I said something negative about this thread.......it's obvious that he's too stubborn or too stupid to understand it. Lost cause!!

You win LSF...I'm exhausted from your inability or refusal to understand.

Good God you are SO thick headed!!!!

I guess the winking icon wasn't enough of a clue that I was joking with that line??? I was making a dig at your arguement that I don't like this thread becasue it isn't "pro-Eli"......which couldn't be farther from reality.

Again...I have already explained my problem with this thread and you STILL continue to argue the wrong point. I DON'T CARE that you have a problem with EliAND evenI have a problem with his numerous mistakes as of late. It's why you don't see me defending him in this or any other thread lately......he's been awful.

I quit this arguement because your head is so far up your own *** that you don't have a clue as to what I'm arguingabout! You get confused andkeep falling back on the stupid Homer vs Hater nonsense.Just forget it......you're a tool.

If you quit this argument you shouldve stayed the hell out. It's been quiet since you left. Do us a favor and leave again.

All you had to do is post what you felt about Eli and leave it at that but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO you had to go the a hole route and attack me for posting a thread that you have your own definition to. Either post about Eli or get the hell out. Let this thread be free of your bs before mods lock it up. It's been going good without your negative obsession with attacking me.

Guys, this is a REALLY good discussion and I've enjoyed reading it. Please dont ruin it by taking petty swipes at each other that have nothing to do with the topic. If you want to fight it out, PM each other until the cows come home.

There goes an example of what Im talking about. I hope you guys don't decide to lock up this thread because of posters like FBOMB. The discussions as of late have been positive and very interesting. Don't let one poster ruin it all for the rest of us.

what are your thoughts now? Quit hiding. I want to know what you think of his play today. Although I think we lost as a team but the most embarrassing thing was the same bonehead plays i kept telling you about a few weeks ago.. Where are you? Here you go FBOMB.. Start here.

Wow....you just lash out like a mental patient when you're challanged!!! You need meds.

It has been a good thread. Hopefully, about 4 hours from now, no Giant fans will have reason to hide, whatever their opinion is of our QB - and we'll all have reason to celebrate, even after the cows are accounted for.

Im expecting a very good game from Eli today. I see him protecting the ball well and managing the game with who he has. Clayton and Manningham will be fine. Calhoun will do what's asked of him and i see our defense taking control of the Jags offense.

Great comeback win. Eli held up and threw a nice pass to Boss for a td. The defense finally woke up and put a painful spree of pressure on the Jags offense. Fewell, keep blitzing. It's what we're best at. Let our dbs do what they do. Blitz. I was very impressed with How Will Beatty played LT. Very good game. The run game was good and our receiver did what they could do.. More importantly, Eli commanded the offense like he's supposed too. Im very impressed with the two drives he scored TDs. Good passes to Mario and Boss. Way to stay in their and make good passes. Eli did what he could do. That's exactly what I expect from him. NO INTERCEPTIONS. No TURNOVERS. You see how much of a difference it makes? Told you, ball protection and good decisions will always be the reason why we win.

with respect to the "keep blitzing" I believe that's the idea behind the Pressure Defense....

at any rate Eli looked lethargic in the 1st half and almost threw a dumb pick with that lame duck pass between 3 defenders.

that said, he woke up in the 3rd and became the efficient guy i know he can be.

a W is a W and I'll take them anyway I can...breathe out my friends hopefully a full week of practice will benefit Clayton, Thomas and Hagan as well as Eli.

Good game, Boss - recovering from a mistake is a good measure of backbone. Kudos to Manningham for reaching back to take that pass off the grass. Also to the defense for their 2nd half recovery. A team win - the only way to get anywhere that's good.

The running game opens up the pass, he benefits from a game plan to stop the run, and makes plays off playaction and short throws where the receiver has to make the play like boss did on the last TD.
No Defense says we have to stop Eli. He is one of the most overrated and overpaid qb's in our lifetime.

No he is not you are overratting his teammates like they are the best out there. Our wrs are diferent than what the other teams like the Colts have. Our offense is different as well.

We need to look at KG's play calling because it is not the best. A lot of people are complaning about his play calling so you need to look at that. Rodgers lost and put up more yards but he had only one rushing td. Ben had over 200 yards and no td against the Bills. Eli did very well with backups.

FASSEL DOES NOT APPROVE OF YOUR MESSAGE!

All receivers have to make plays to score touchdowns. All teams game plan against the Giants' passing attack before they play them - and as unfortunate as that is to your argument, Eli is part of the Giants' passing attack. Being good at "play action" is a desired skill in a QB. And if you're interested and want to do the arithmetic, Eli's air yards per pass, compared to yards after catch, is up there with the league's highest.

I had vowed to only post about the team and not respond to posts like yours - but I guess I'm just weak.

I still dont know who to blame for the Defense early in the game. We missed a lot of tackles, and our dbs gave the wrs a lot of unneccessary cussions at the line of scrimmage. We are at our best blitzing and that's what Fewell needs to stick with. The defense feeds off the offense and the offense feeds off the defense. Stick to what we're good at and protect the ball and we should do well from here on out.

You are an idiot. He has worked off very little run support all season, and this is his best season so far. He had no WR's today, thats why he struggled a bit today. Look at his numbers, they are top 5 in the league. Over rated and over paid, your statement is pathetic.

"Ofcourse he's the heart and soul of our offense. we gave him nearly 100 million dollars to throw a ball accurately and he doesn't even do that right"

"All I'm asking is for him to smarten the hell up and stop making these bone head mistakes only Jamarcus Russell would make."

" So to me right now until Eli cut his mistakes in half, he's in the same category as trent dilfer."

"Hell, he's on pace for 30 ints this year the way he's throwing."

"Hell, ive seen eli make more pin point accurate throws to defenses than he does to his own offense."

"Yeah, thanks to players like Manningham, Nicks, and Bradshaw that can turn his 3 yard pass into a 15+yard gain. "

"it's almost certain the receiver has to go that extra mile to extend a play or score a td."

"Eli is just throwing the ball and 80% of his throws aren't good. "

"Clutch, yeah fine i'll give you that, but he wouldn't have to be clutch if he quit with the BONEHEAD mistakes."

"FUNDAMENTALS.. THATS WHAT ELI LACKS WHEN HE'S UNDER PRESSURE. "

"Show me a video of Eli making a pass that our receiver caught more than 30 yards and i'll eat crow."

"I HAVE NOT SEEN ELI MAKE AN ACCURATE DEEP PASS YET."

" I see 1-2 catchable dropped passes a game but i see about 10 bad passes a game by Eli.."

"Yea, i did ask for 30 + yards but thats an average pass in the NFL. "

"He throws more bad passes than he does good and that's not being sarcastic."

Yea he made a dumb play, but hell keep that ball 9 times out of 10....just plain bad luck!!!!

I can't wait to see all of you losers disappear after we go 10-6 and make the playoffs!!!

I'm just as pissed off as anyone, but you can't lose hope. you just cant...

We've got the Skins next week who look very bad even with Mcnabb. Should we expect a huge game from the defense? You know Mcnabb is a Giant headache.

with respect to the "keep blitzing" I believe that's the idea behind the Pressure Defense....

at any rate Eli looked lethargic in the 1st half and almost threw a dumb pick with that lame duck pass between 3 defenders.

that said, he woke up in the 3rd and became the efficient guy i know he can be.

a W is a W and I'll take them anyway I can...breathe out my friends hopefully a full week of practice will benefit Clayton, Thomas and Hagan as well as Eli.

Yes sir, good game from the entire offense the 2nd half. We played as a team and won as a team. Ball security was the key today and it showed at the end. Good game ELi.

+1
Good game, Boss - recovering from a mistake is a good measure of backbone. Kudos to Manningham for reaching back to take that pass off the grass. Also to the defense for their 2nd half recovery. A team win - the only way to get anywhere that's good.

Good game Beatty protecting Eli's blindside. Having that comfort from a LT does wonders for Eli. He had good protection today and our running game got better. Eli did a very good job keeping the guys positive and it showed as well in the end. The team came together to also get the crowd involved. Im very impressed.

A thumbs up to Beatty and the whole O Line - good protection for Eli and nice openings for the RB's. By the end of the game, I forgot I was ever unhappy with the D.

Great idea. No one ever thought of that. You should coach the defense.

Based off of what he had to work with yesterday, even the biggest Eli hater has to give him props for nutting up and having a good game despite not having any real threat to throw to. And he had zero turnovers. Good game Eli. I'm neutral on him, but he deserves credit for his overall game yesterday

It's not like he wasn't given any credit. I said it a bunch of times. He played good. No turnovers equal victory.

I know Latino is in your mind somewhere there, even though he's not quoted in your post. Well I go from po'd at Latino to "he's not that bad"... back and forth..........back and forth.

Biggest Eli fan in the world here and he does deserve credit for that game - he was solid. Hagan dropped that pass inside the 5, and, also, Eli threw short to MM on a sure TD post route. Boss held us out of a TD, but that was a beauty of a snag he made on the mid-level out (also, Eli put it in the only place he could for Boss to make the play) and Boss (and Eli) combined for a winners' FOOTBALL play on his TD. And the O-Line kept Eli's butt upright and not needing to slide for a first down.

Hell, where is Roney King when you need him?

I was at that game papa. And I agree Eli messed up that one play but as far as season goes turnovers over half are tipped balls. You try sliding at 6'5 on that turf anything could happen hes not by far a small guy. Hes too stiff and tall to teach a standard slide. Besides the run has to be established BJ softening AB and Ware follow. Eli is no gunner and the play calling as of late has been ******ed! They have to set the plays to Elis style thats all there is too it.

Yup I play hard ball and Ive met him. The height pertains to him specifically meaning he is so stiff and awkward to teach him to slide at this point in his life is a knee blowout waiting to happen. He moves like a tall stiff quarterback not a 6'5 major League first baseman. Didnt expect every couch potato to understand.
