I LOVE PLAX.
But....
Hakeem The Dream is a legend right now.
Who has impressed you more in the playoffs?
Plax roasted gb to and caught the sb winning td.
Nicks has 4 tds in 2 games in the playoffs this year so far...

I'm not sure we win the NFC in 2007 without Plax's game against the Pack.

Having said that, I think Hakeem. . .well. . .

Injured Plax undressed their secondary, it was so comical. Pro Bowl Harris looked like an amateur.....

Maybe I'm being biased because of hindsight, but I like Hakeem better. Better playmaker, better athlete, better player, and most of all, MUCH better character.

Hakeem Nicks is 24, and dominating cbs. I'd take him over a healthy plax any day of the week.

And anyone else notice that Hakeem used to always get caught from behind, and now it doesn't seem to happen. He's doing something right!

Nicks and Cruz are better, on the field, in practices and meetings, and at home.

He did always say he had an extra gear no one had seen yet.

Nicks is the best receiver the giants have ever had.

Respect to Plax for helping us when that year but, Nicks is better.

Nicks-Cruz-Manningham Combo in 2011 is definitely more potent and dangerous than the Plax-Toomer-Smith trio in 07.

It's one thing to embarrass backup safeties like Charlie Peprah that don't like to tackle like Nicks did today. It's entirely another to embarrass an All-Pro corner like Al Harris like Plax did 4 years ago.

I'd take a 24 year old Nicks over a 30 something Plax for a season, no question, but Plax had a better game 4 years ago than Nicks had today. Not to take away from Nicks' performance today, it was great, but I can't ever remember a WR undressing our DB's like Plax did that day. Ever.

Peprah was also a former Giants draft pick by the way if people remeber. lol

When it's all said and done it'll be a not contest that Nicks is a better receiver than Plax.

Biggest thing Nicks has over plax is simply his ability to get open. We all love plax for his ability to fight for the jump ball, but he needed to do that b/c he was not very good at getting seperation.

That's the biggest difference w/our current receivers from 07. Plax, Toomer, Smith and Shockey were all possession receivers. Nicks, Cruz and Manningham are much more dynamic.

Nicks any day.

If he can stay healthy he has the potential to be one of the best wideouts in the league imo.

Uhh. Pretty sure nobody is basing this on how well they played against GB in one game.

The first 3 posts in the thread made references to the game in 2007. So that's how I read it.

I saw a stat on twitter earlier from ESPN Stats:

Hakeem Nicks is one of only three receivers to have two playoff games with 100+ yards and 2 TDs in each.

The other two receivers?

Larry Fitzgerald and JERRY RICE

That's some company

Plaxico also rarely got YAC. Nicks is a machine after the ball is in his hands.

Your gonna have to loop Cruz and Rio in there as well, **** our entire starting wr core are all good after the catch, something Plax wasn't/ isn't. With that said, Plax does have a ring.......apples, oranges I guess, but I like what we have now.
