With arguably the best punter, kicker, and defense in the league San Fran doesn't need to rely on their offense that much. If they can pin us inside our twenty and stop us on defense then Smith doesn't have to do much to put them into field goal range. They don't need to throw the ball deep down field to beat us. We know Akers has a leg and doesn't miss. Their defense and special teams can very much win them this game.

There special teams have been great all year that being said I think Weatherford has gone under the radar. He has been fantastic for us this year.

Who wulda thunk ST can win a game of NFC championship?

Glad our ST had stepped up this year, nice punter, Tynes has been decent, still waiting for our return game to return something

Now that is a very good observation. A long field agaisnt the 49ers day all game long equals trouble.
