After we blew the big lead to philly to blow that game with 8m left38-31. We played another team fighting for a playoff spot. The GB Packers. We pretty much both had to win that game to make the playoffs a loss meant going home.. We had the final game vs redskins but by then it was too late with the back to back crushing defeats to Eagles and GB. Anyway we came in saying we were okay with the blown game and would focus on beating the packers to make the playoffs.

Just the opposite happened as we were destroyed 45-17. We went home after beating the Skins the folllowing week with a 10-6 record and no playoffs due to those two losses. The packers as we know were the HOT team that just got in by having to win their last 2or3 games (like we did this year) just to get in.
When they got in as 6th seed they continued on their Hot streak and became a team of Destiny as a Road team like both the Giants and Steelers have both done.

That was then. This year PAY BACK WAS SWEET as we sent the 1Loss Packers PACKING...

What a turnaround from that 45-17 loss. We totally DOMINATED them on both sides of ball and the score was only as close as it was due to several bad calls. Other wise the loss is prob worse then the spanking they put on us.

We did this to a team that started that win streak with that victory over us and went i think 19 in a row over final week of 10, Playoffs and firsr 13 of this season till KC beat them. then they won 2 more to close season. SO we beat a team that had won 21of22 games. LOL

Would of been nicer and more SHOCKING had they been 22 out of 22 and we halted another unbeaten streak.

Patriots had won 5of6 prior to the 18-0 Run. They won their last 3games of the 2006 season and the WC and Divisional Rounds of the Playoffs before falling to the Colts (after leading 21-3) in the AFC CG.

SO when we beat the unbeaten Pats they had won 23of24...

The Pack had won their last 13 home games before this Sunday. Unlucky (for the Pack) # 13.

There's also the Pats' home winning streak with Brady starting that the Giants snapped this year.

I think that streak was 20 games without a loss

As much as I loved the Packer win this week, it wasn't dominating. It was a very close game into the final quarter. Yes they got some calls but they also dropped way too many passes. We played well, and yes even better than the Packers but it wasn't dominating. It was a well coached and well played game. We will need another well coached and finely executed game to win next week. I'm confident we can, but scared too. Packers were a great team this year that didn't play their best when it counted.

Let's not get crazy and think we dominated though.

I really hope we dont play you guys again next season. We always get owned. Next year will probably be no different. In GB we always lose to you guys. It hurt even worse this time then last time.

I don't know about that. U have 5 gifted guys catching the ball. Some teams are lucky to have 1or2

Nelson,Finley,Jennings,driver and Crabtree is killer.

They had lots of drops. We had that problem in quite a few games. I don't know if it was the layoff, footsteps from prior hits, mourning over loss of coaches son or combo of all of it.

Bottom line is a team that wins 22 of 24 games did it for a reason. U guys will be fine next season

Dude you seriously deserve a round of applause for predicting pretty much the exact score! Almost spot on. How did you do that? And the fact that you said it all last week too.

I felt we were gonna win, but not dominate like we did.

In my opinion you aren't getting enough credit for that score prediction. lol feel free to bring up this game anytime you like. Thats legit.

So whats the prediction this week?

Did you also see the thread about giants upset victories? In it I not only gave score I broke game down.. Had Eli with 3tds and 375 I think. Had BJ getting a td. Tynes getting 1 Fg. Had turnovers close.. Also had AB getting a td... But overall I was close on it. Look up that thread.
I just had this gut feeling. They way our guys are so confident right now. U can see it in alot of the sights and sounds clips. Check out the one for this week. They look scary...

As far as the score. I felt every since the jets game on we were building on something and felt that we would erupt. I still don't feel we have seen the giants play they beat games yet.

I was ready to predict another blowout, but with the weather calling for rain all week and on game day it could be a muddy slow field. Have to rethink it..

Was going to just go with same score in sig.. Felt good about it.

really? Given the opponent and situation I thought it was close to domination given that idiot ref helping GB. Seeing as the Jennings fumble that wasn't called led to one TD, and a phantom personal foul on Osi lead to another (without that it would have been what...4th and 14 from their own 20ish?), it really could have/should have been 37-10. Sure they dropped some easy balls, but Finley always drops passes. Rodgers didn't really look comfortable at all.

Crabtree is a blocking specialist, he'll never be a real threat as a receiver. His drop on Sunday wasn't too surprising.

Driver is way, WAY on the wrong side of 30 now and it's not a given he'll be back as a WR next year. If he is, he'll be #5 on the depth chart at WR. He wasn't utilized this season very often as it is.

The 5 lethal weapons in our passing game heading into next season are Jennings, Nelson, Jones, Cobb, and Finley. Cobb is the one flying in under the radar right now but he's cut from the same mold as Jennings. He's going to break out next season if he can stay healthy.

Green Bay's biggest problem going forward is the Raiders new big asset. Reggie McKenzie. Ted Thompson gets all the credit for the phenomenal drafts he's put together, but McKenzie had as much or more to do with that as anyone. McKenzie has been one of the top scouts in the NFL for years. Oakland is in good hands with McKenzie at the helm. It's a huge loss for Green Bay.

And not only are we losing McKenzie, he's likely going to plunder our staff of many quality scouts, coaches and assistants. Rumor is that he may offer the HC job in Oakland to Dom Capers, but I kinda doubt that. My guess is it'll more than likely be Winston Moss, Green Bay's ILB coach that gets that position.

Furthermore, OC Joe Philbin has been rumored to be in talks for HC positions as well.

The player roster will remain much the same next season as it was this season. New additions are likely on the DL, at ROLB, in the secondary. Charles Woodson may have to move to free safety depending on whether Nick Collins heals sufficiently to play football ever again. Other than that I expect no significant changes to the roster. But the team could still look very different. A new DC is almost a certainty after the dismal peformance of his group this season. A new OC is a real possibility too.

There are plenty of unknowns going forward to be real confident in Green Bay next season. The Giants appear to be in a much better position heading into next season, if only because of continuity.

It happens. When you have Really Good Teams the ones looking for coaches will always look to plunder your system for guys to Run their system which are in shambles. I mean just look at some of the Assts over the years that went on to become great head coaches just from the giants. Lombardi, Tom Landry, Bill Beleichck, Sean Payton, Fox, Steve Spags to name a few.
