Anyone notice how these days he is much more effective when running to the edge, toss sweeps etc? he's a load when he builds that head of steam. obviously he's been useless up the middle. But all throughout his career... even early... he wasn't unstoppable in 3rd and 4th and short. Partly on him... Partly on a defense that knows it's coming.

man when he runs east to west it gets me nervous but if he gets the edge and turns up field...its game over lol.

the only thing that frustrates me about Jacobs is that alot of the time, he just looks for someone to run into which is ESPECIALLY true when he goes up the middle; doesn't even look for the hole it seems like, lol.

To be fair to Brandon unquestionably the blocking has been much better. The O Line has come together and getting HH back certainly helps. He has never been a great 4th and short guy mainly because that is where his size works against him, the D knows the run is coming and he is easier to find and tackle than a smaller back. One of the best short yardage RB in the history of NFL is Marcus Allen, not a big guy.
