My best friend who was murdered in his sleep. Mike was a member of this message board and was a Season Ticket holder of the Giants. He would be with me for every game. Mike was murdered in a home invasion here in Freehold Twp. on July 31 of this year.

I like to think Mike is helping this team from above. Along with being an avid Giants fan Mike liked to drag race corvettes

If anybody else would like to dedicate the playoff run to a loved one feel free to do it here

Feel terrible for Mike, did they ever catch the vermin who did it?

For my dad who died in 2009 in the hospital, a month after we took him out for dinner on his birthday and noticed something was wrong. Always a Giant/Yankee fan. We buried him with his Yankee cap and Giants SB cap (which horrified my old-school Italian mother but we kids overrode her on that one). Miss you dad. He would have loved this run and talking about it.

Mike was a union tile guy and actualy worked at the new stadium as well as the Timex Center. He kept a piece of the tile he installed in Tom Coughlins office bathroom. The tile kind of looked like a football it was brown and had a pebble grain......One time we actually met Mike while he was working at the Timex before a game and got to take a tour.

Here is the info i copied from the other Thread.... Again sorry about your Friend Mike.. Go GMEN.....

"My Dad was a HUGE Giants fan going back to the 30s when he was a young boy. He rooted for and watched everygame all his life no matter if they STUNK and were getting beat 44-0 and even if they had a terrible season and were 4-12, 3-11-1 whatever. Watched them all and cheered like it was the SB no matter what the circumstances. HE WAS TRUE BLUE and thanks to him my brother and I are the same way.

Anyway, my dad passed away 4years ago Yesterday. That means he was able to witness the TB 24-14 Victory on Jan 6th and the huge Upset of the #1 Seed Cowboys on Jan 13th 21-17.

He passed away in his sleep on Jan 19th a day before the NFCCG on Jan 20th. We were torn on what to do on Game Day. He was so excited for that game having not seen them win a SB since 90. (was so upset when Ravens whipped us in 2000) He had everything set up to watch game and he was the most superstitious of all giants fans. lol.

Anyway in his Honor we all watched the game together the next day... And we all Believe deep in our hearts that he had something to do with that ball hooking back in OT and the INT Farve through in the OT.

We had his Funeral in between the CG and SB on FEB 3rd

Guys on here were so supportive. I have copies of PAGES AND PAGES Of well wishes. Bansaw made me something to take with me to his Memorial. It was a huge Pic of Giants Stadium with Strathan Stepping in with one foot and Flexing his muscles.. Had SB and showing Giants being a WINNER and right in there on Stadium. it had my dads name, RIP, his Birth and Death Day and #1 Giants Fan.

We all know how that SB unfolded. It was like he was up there helping us out in some way."

My dad just suffered his second stroke in three years. He's a HUGE Giants fan, and a true old school G-Men fan dating back to the Huff, YA, Gifford, etc, etc days. He is going to be placed into a rehab facility to learn how to redo everything over again. Knowing my mother, and her old school Italian-Greek-Irish background she didn't want him to sleep with his old school NYG rally monkey next to him. My dad was going to games since the mid 50's.....

Which union number was Mike apart of? He sounds really familiar considering my cousins worked in Unions right near Asbury Park.

Same thing happened to my great grandmother a long time ago . My mother had to teach her how to walk, talk, read etc. all over again. It took some time, but she made a full recovery. Wish the same for your dad

My condolences for Mike..
This is going to be an odd one....But I would like to dedicate this run to my best friend who dropped dead of a massive heart attack at age 40 leaving behind a wife and 3 kids

The odd part is that he was an avid Redskin fan and hated the giants and if he was still alive I would be having a lot of fun with this...(he is probably turning over in his grave)here is to you Jeff
