Agreed, you can't have Simms at number 2 and Eli ot even in the top 15.

And, Mark Collins? Really? How bout Armstead. And Osi is far better than Marshall ever was.

Marshall has 83 career sacks. Armstead? really...overrated. I put Collins up there because I just like him as a player...and he was pretty physical. Why not Simms? give me one reason to not have simms up there at 2? over 33,000 yds passing 199 tds, 1 superbowl win, one of the best passers in the old Giants stadium with the swirling winds...he perfected how to throw the ball in that stadium.

Ask yourself this question. Who else on that list has made this franchise as relevant throughout football as Eli has? Eli has elevated this organization to a perennial contender for close to a decade. The only other player who had an impact larger than Eli was LT.

Gifford was close. I think he was a very good player, but got more attention because he was a media darling. Kyle Rote was a good player, but not in the class of the ones that I mentioned...IMO.

Phil Simms- 11 4th Q comebacks, 17 game winning drives, overall record as a starter 101-68

Eli Manning- 19 th Q comebacks, 23 game winning drives. overall record 73-53

At the end of his career Eli will be on MY list but notice how I dont have active players on my list.

No offense, but you need to dig a little deeper into Giants history.

What Giant player's picture hung outside Wellington Mara's office and now hangs outside his son's? Hint: He was the Giants first black player.

Nah, the Giants have really botched this retired number stuff.

Case in point, Emlen Tunnell isa HOF'er, considered one of the Top 100 players in NFL History, first black member of the HoF, etc...yet his number is not retired while other Giants who never will be in the HoF have their numbers retired.

No Hampton?!?!?!?!?! Easily my favorite and in my opinion the best Giant RB of all-time......carried the franchise offensively for years.....

But outside of Hampton list is pretty good.....don't think I'd give Gifford the nod.

Anyone not putting Gifford in the top 10 doesn't know Giant history. Look, the guy was all pro (not pro bowl) at 3 different positions! He's the one that made Lombardi's O go. Excellent passer, could punt, did kick extra points and field goals until Agajainian came along.
Tunnell is also a must! Great corner, also KO and P returner. Rosey Brown must be on the list. He is considered by many to be the best Left Tackle of all time.

I think Eli and Tuck will end up on the list eventually
John Mendenhall was better than George Martin
Bob Tucker and Brad Van Pelt deserve mention
Joe Morris and Rodney Hampton are very close
Of course you have the old guys like Del Shofner, Rosey Grier, and YA Tittle. Before my time but they were definitely near the top of the list.

I like your list. Younger guys don't know how good Mendenhall and Van Pelt were in their day. No Bob Tucker? I feel there should me a few O-lineman but can't think whom I would add.

good call on Tucker

he was the king of the.....come off the line and fall down on purpose so the D forgets about him....then get up and catch a pass for a 1st down or a TD
