Offer them both as much money as they want and whoever jumps first gets the job.

Neither. We need someone new, young, who has RECENTLY had success, and doesn't have an enormous ego.

Gruden fits the bill for me, I really enjoy his enthusiasm and he's a players coach. Our guys need something like that, we need a big spark in a big way.

Hate to say it, but when they collapsed last year ownership made a point of saying that the coaches don't take the field and play the games. It would be inconsistent and hypocritical if they fired him under the exact same circumstances this year.

Someone posted a thread regarding jeff Fisher being a good fit for the Cowboys or Giants yesterday per NFL.com

I think Fisher will be in the league next year. In some local media down here in Tennessee, he mentioned that he is recharged physically and mentally.

I would take Spags as head coach before Gruden or Cowher.

Im all for getting Spags back. As for Coughlin ... I think he has done a great job with what talent he has to work with. Even Gordon Ramsey cant make chicken salad out of chicken sh>>.

I wouldnt mind Fisher. I think he is a great coach, and his system is basically Giants Football. Strong D-Line, and a ground and pound running game.

There is no question Reid is a good coach.

If the Eagles fire him at the end of the season, he will have a few franchises asking for his service.

Mike Zimmer is a great DC, the question is will he be ready to be a headcoach? In one of the toughest cities?

Mike Zimmer Bengals DC . The Giants FO likes him . He was there first choice was DC before they signed Fewell. The Bengals run a 4-3 defense that has half the talent the Giants do and are twice as good.

Didnt Gruden sign an exclusive agreement with ESPN that he cant take a coaching job for 5 years. I would like Gruden to coach again just to see him install a spread offense. He said he would if he returned to coaching

Cowher is so overrated. It's the George Constanza scenario. Everyone thinks he is doing a good job just because he looks angry.

Gruden on the other hand would be a PERFECT fit for NY in my opinion.

1st things 1st though... CAN THE GIANTS FINALLY GET A MIDDLE LINEBACKER ALREADY????

bigblue58
11-29-2011, 10:26 AM
Aside from having the same number of rings as Coughlin, explain to me in what way Cowher would achieve better results..........magic dust?
Cowher had twice the talent to work with as Coughlin and he STILL only won that one SB....Gruden was fired...!

A new face can change the entire feel of a team. Right now under Coughlin this team is lifeless, they dont even look like they care about making the playoffs.

Bring in a guy like Cowher who does bring a different kind of energy and everything could change, even with most of the same players we already have. We've seen this many, many times in the NFL.

There comes a time when a coach is just no longer effective. Tom's at the end of the line here now. 3 straight years with 2nd half collapses, sorry but someone has to pay for that and it's usually the coach.
