At this point of Eli's career, Eli needs veterans that he can trust to get the ball too. If u look at the Saints, Packers, and Patroits...they seem to keep their weapons and even add weapons to their offense. Reese seems to constantly lose targets for Eli every year...and then Eli has to put his trust on young receivers who constantly drop the ball...Eli Manning cant do it by himself. Too Many fans were laughing at Steve Smith, but it looks like Plaxico Burress is doing better than Manningham. Eli cant even trust the protection in front of him because Reese chose to revamp this line with guys who should be on the practice squad or even backups. And since Ward left....we havent had a running back to catch out the backfield.

Continuity is the most important thing in the Offense. When will Reese realize this? Who is Eli going to lose in the offseason next year?

Heh. You saying he should have paid god knows how much Oakland gave Boss? You saying we should have overpaid for Ward?

Every since Plax and Toomer left (who he's had for a very long time), he's had Nicks and Manningham consistently. So what are you talking about? The reason why he has young WRs is because Plax and Toomer decided to disappear around the same time. He's had plenty of continuity. As for injuries, EVERY Qb has to deal with them.

Nicks and Manningham are relatively new players...and u can see definitely with Mario Manningham because he is never on the same page with Eli. Reese continued to let guys like Steve Smith and Boss leave who were reliable for Eli...Plaxico Burress was out there...and hes still making plays now.

As good as Cruz been...his drops and fumbles hurt this team. Their is no continuity here...we dont even have continuity across the Offensive Line. Reese chose to have Beatty covering his blinside with a Guard as his backup.

I'm sorry the fact that our offense has improved every single year since the superbowl was in the way of what you wrote...do you mind writing that again?

By the way how many records did Eli break this year? Cruz?

Eli's numbers have gotten better every year despite swapping receiving corps 3 times so far.

And Reese didn't have a choice with the Oline ... Ohara was getting soft/old and had a lingering injury and Seubert wasn't going to be ready until mid-season at best.

Baas hasn't been someone to get excited over but hindsight being 20/20 and all that. Next year we'll need to replace Mckenzie more then likely and we'll have some large scrutinizing to do with Beatty.

Change is a constant theme in the NFL. Better get used to it.

P.S. - Where are the Packers and Saints right now?

P.P.S. - The Pats' offense consists of one skill player of note from last year ... Wes Welker.

while i like the word continuity, especially with the coaching staff, you can't just apply it blindly to the team

Boss was way overpaid by Oakland, Smith considering the injury was way overpaid by Philly ... Seubert was coming off his 2nd major injury and really wasn't ready/able to play and no other team picked up O'Hara ... Hixon was injured, so what could have Jerry have done

finally, where would we be without Victor Cruz? ... what if Cruz had to fight Smith and Hixon for playing time and never had a chance to break out? ... the only possible way you could knock Jerry with regards to the offense is the signing of Baas ... he hasn't been that good, maybe there was a better move there that could have been done, but do any of us know what the move could have been?
