Yeah, it's sour grapes. I'll admit it. Can you blame me?
We were the first and only team to go 16-0 in the regular season. We went 17-0. We went 18-0.
And we didn't just barely do it... we did it in spectacular fashion. We were hailed as the greatest football team in the history of the NFL. We shattered just about every offensive record their was to break. We took spiteful allegations of cheating and rammed it ruthlessly down everyones throats.
We were absolutely unstoppable. We were going to force the entire world to say that we were the indisputable greatest football team that ever existed.

And you took it all away from us with quite easily the biggest bunch of lucky BS i've ever seen in my entire life. You didn't deserve to win that Superbowl - we did. We were supposed to go 19-0 and that was the way it was supposed to happen. You have no idea how emotionally devastating that loss was to us...

I'm sure you're laughing about this post so far. That's fine. I'm not afraid to be honest. You know who the New England Patriots are and so I have no reason to be insecure about my football team.

I really don't even want to "talk smack" to you. I did it with the Broncos. I did it with the Ravens. I don't even want to with you. It's honestly beyond tha

I just want to be honest.

I want to break your hearts.

I don't even want a competitive, entertaining Superbowl that goes down as an epic rematch.

I hope it's a blow out. I hope everything that can go wrong for you does go wrong for you.
I hope the Patriots sideline celebration can begin by the start of the 3rd quarter. I hope you have to play 30 minutes of football looking at the scoreboard and already knowing you lost. I hope by the 4th you don't even want to watch it anymore.

I hope we humiliate you. I hope we break your hearts. I hope we make you hate football on Superbowl Sunday.

I don't want to go into why you beat us this season. I don't want to dwell on the fact that Brady was injured, or that we were playing 3rd and 4th string players, or that Sergio Brown had no business playing cornerback and handed you the game with the PI in the endzone.

I know that isn't the Patriots you'll be playing in two weeks and so do you.

I just want to embarrass you. I want you to have reason to hate us in ways you cannot even fathom right now. I want to destroy you so badly that the NFL agrees that you didn't even deserve to be there - that Kyle Williams handed an inferior team a trip to the Superbowl.

I want to crush your spirits.

I don't normally invest a lot of emotion in any NFC teams, positive or negative, but I hate the Giants. I'll never forgive them.

I hope we break your hearts.

Yeah that super bowl was so sweet glad to hear it still eats at the pats fan base still. You can have two weeks to talk your **** but in the end the Giants will rip your heart out again.

Didn't the Pats barely beat the Ravens? They were one dropped pass and shanked field goal from sitting home.

Tom Brady had an off game. The Ravens have a strong defense.

How many times does Brady have two off games in a row?

We're going to make you eat your pride in this Superbowl. It won't be like a regular season 50 point thrashing we're used to giving teams in the NFL. This is going to be a a humiliating blow out immortalized by the stage it takes place on.

Tom Brady isn't going to be off two games in a row. You won't stop Gronkowski. You wont stop Hernandez. You won't stop Welker.

And I know Belichick. He isn't going to stop. Not with you. When we're up by 30 he's going to keep the pedal to the floor.

You're going to hate football this Superbowl. I can feel it.
The Ravens were the toughest team we're going to have had to play. We got our war over with it and we won it.

Tom Brady is going to light you up like the 4th of July and our radically improved defense is going to make Eli feel pain.

I can't wait.

Meh not worried, the Pats don't have as much talent as 2007 team did. The AFC as a whole wasn't very good this year ( the bungles & broncos made the playoffs).

Your out of your mind if you think the Pats defense will stop Eli from scoring. Eli is not fu Manchu boy he'll pass all over the pats.

Guys, the Patriots are the best team in the NFL and possibly god's greatest gift to mankind. I just wanna take the time to thank the lord for creating Brady, the Tuck Rule, and having Belichick leave the Jets only after 1 day.

ANYTIME other teams win, it's because they have managed to get into a lucky situation and had the games fall into their laps. I question why God lets this happen but then I realize he does this so that the Patriots have what "appears" to be good competition.

Whenever the Patriots win, it's because they are the greatest thing since apple pie and they are absolutely flawless from their personalities all the way to their looks.

There's planets, stars, galaxies, and then the center of the universe...the New England Patriots.

If you're this bitter and lost now, how you going to feel after we beat you again?

We all embrace your hatred (and your obvious fear of the Giants).

Oh,and one, er, two more things you won't want to dwell on......

We didn't have Hakeem Nicks or Ahmad Bradshaw in the game when we last met.

Just so you know, whatever happens in two weeks, The Truth will still hurt. Your team was all world. Best QB in history, best WR ever, and undefeated regular season. The Giants went in there and Stomped you out. Bye Bye perfect season. Best Superbowl ever! The Giants made history. Your team doesn't have a shot to do that this time. Sorry, even if they win, it's not as sweet.

The way I look at it, the Pats have had more than their fair share of success. This will be Brady/Belichick's 5th Super Bowl. Belichick springs from our coaching tree, can't hate him too much. I hear he still shows film of the Giants LB corps in film study.

Beating an undefeated team in the Super Bowl, let alone one expecting a coronation, is something we will treasure for our entire lives. The fact that it eats your hearts out makes it sweeter.

I can't wait to see you crouched over in a ball, saying "not again, not again" as you lose again. We are your kryptonite.

And you know what? You could kill us 255-0 and it would not erase 18-1.

Dude....get a life. Your team just won and all you can is rip the giants from 4 years ago? Get out of your mother's basement and get outside a little. And you really need to get a life because you are obviously obsessed with the giants since you are on their website writing your ridiculous statement. We bet this year when we weren't healthy....watch out now. Go play with your Tom brady action figure and shut it.

sour grapes---LOL!!! I love when the haters talk about luck and the Giants winning that Superbowl.

Talk about luck, the good ole BS tuck rule in 2001 saved the Pats.

And due to Brady getting his knee blown out in week 1 of 2008, the QBs are now more protected than ever before.

Hey when championship teams win, a little luck goes along with skill and momentum. When its your year, you seem to get the bounces and calls. When its not your year, you are at home watching the playoffs in January.

I just sure hope Belicheat and Brady can fit in the plane together on their trip to Indy. Its hard to get those 2 huge overblown egos in the same place at the same time---LOL!!!

Good luck Pats fans. And to those who are still crying over 2007, grow up and get over it!

By the way, OP, when did you become a Pats fan--in 2001 or after they already had 3 Superbowl wins?

You got lucky in the "Tuck Rule" SB.......it should have been a fumble and a loss!
You had a bobbled ball in the end zone ruled a TD in another one that never should have been ruled a catch!
And you lucked out yesterday by winning a game where Brady was downright horrible!!!
And despite what your record said in '07, you were NOT the greatest team in NFL history because your schedule in '07 was weak as hell...... and you came damned close to losing a game to the worst team in the NFL!
You've had your share of lucky breaks and BS calls that went in your favor over the years, so climb off your high horse.... and stop listening to the hype in your town about the "legendary" status of your team....one of THE LUCKIEST in NFL history!!!

Did you know that whenever Bellichick wants to show your D what they did wrong during a game, he pops in tapes of the GREAT Giants Defenses that he coached here in NY, to show your Defensive players the PROPER way it's done!!! He doesn't show them tapes of prior Pats Defenses.....he shows them tapes of the GREAT GIANTS PLAYERS!!!!!!
Thought you might like to know that little ditty...chew on that one for awhile!!!

Tom Brady doesn't play bad football two games in a row. Usually he bounces back from a bad performance with a record setting night. We're going to do to you what we did to the Broncos.

You're calling us lucky? You were out played by the 49'ers and were handed a trip to Indianapolis by Kyle Williams. You're the inferior NFC representative.

How many times do you think you can slow down the New England offense? Your due to feel what so many other teams have felt against us. It's coming in the Superbowl.

We're going to humiliate you. We're going to make you look like the worst football team in the NFL. I'm not nervous, i'm not doubtful, i'm not worried.

I know what's going to happen.

Tom Brady, having made it through the Ravens defense, is going to bounce back in the Superbowl with the Superbowl performance of his life - a Superbowl performance for the ages.

Your defense isn't going to bend - it's going to break.

No, we don't get to finish 19-0, but we get to humiliate Eli Manning and the New York Giants in Peyton Manning's stadium. We get to put to rest forever the already laughable Manning vrs Brady debate and begin the Brady vrs Montana one. We get to take revenge against an overrated Giants team that just squeaked into the Superbowl and expose you as being frauds before a worldwide audience.

You can only hold back the scoring power of the Patriots for so long. Your number is up.

Man, if you're still holding a 4-year grudge, then you need to get into therapy - STAT!

Thing is - we have NOTHING on the line for this Superbowl - other than possibly losing. We have no stats to make, no perfect season to accomplish. As many have said, we're playing with 'house money' because we weren't supposed to make it this far. IMO, if we beat you in 2 weeks, I'll be on a cloud. If we lose, I can't say that I'm in any way disappointed with this team who was supposed to have been 'done' six weeks ago.

You want vengence, then you'll have to earn it. Our defense will not make it easy. And our offense just stood toe- to -toe with the NFLs best defense - more importantly, we didn't give the ball away to a D that specialized in take-aways all season. If our offense can have that kind of success against the best D, then we can certainly have it against the Pats'.

You guys better bring your A game on both sides because we certainly are - and then some!

You were like Iceland in the Mighty Ducks sequel. You were the perfect, unstoppable team, and yes, quite possibly the best football team to ever play.

And we beat you.

We beat you, because your entire organization got so full of themselves that they disregarded our very real threat. Your precious team made its own bed by underestimating us, and paid dearly for that mistake. In a truly spectacular way, I might add.

You didn't "deserve" to win. If you did, they wouldn't have even held the Superbowl at all. That's the point of the game, jack. In 2007, the Patriots proved that they were fallible.

We've all moved on from then. We're a new team now. The Patriots are a new team now. And you know something? Win or lose, you can't break our hearts.

Why?

Because no victory of yours will EVER come close to topping our SBXLII win, or even providing even 1/10th the satisfaction that particular game held for us. Because no matter what happens, we stared down a beast...the supposedly "unbeatable" 2007 Patriots, took an enormous amount of badmouthing, had everyone from every corner heralding our downfall...

The teams ****iness was their undoing, they didn't deserve to win the SuperBowl.

The Highest scoring offense in NFL history was held to 14 points, which was poetic justice after they insisted on running up the score on bottom feeders most of the season. They simply couldn't match the Giants intensity.

even want to watch it anymore.

I hope we humiliate you. I hope we break your hearts. I hope we make you hate football on Superbowl Sunday.

I
don't want to go into why you beat us this season. I don't want to
dwell on the fact that Brady was injured, or that we were playing 3rd
and 4th string players, or that Sergio Brown had no business playing
cornerback and handed you the game with the PI in the endzone.

I know that isn't the Patriots you'll be playing in two weeks and so do you.

I
just want to embarrass you. I want you to have reason to hate us in
ways you cannot even fathom right now. I want to destroy you so badly
that the NFL agrees that you didn't even deserve to be there - that Kyle
Williams handed an inferior team a trip to the Superbowl.

I want to crush your spirits.

I don't normally invest a lot of emotion in any NFC teams, positive or negative, but I hate the Giants. I'll never forgive them.

I hope we break your hearts.

You're crying in the rain pally.

How many times does Brady have two off games in a row?

He had an off game in the AFC championship in 2008.
I do not know about having an off game tow in a row. All I know is that Brady and the Pats do not lose in Foxboro two times in a row until the Giants showed up there this year and messed that record too!

You can laugh. That's fine.

I feel completely at peace right now. I'm completely confident we're going to destroy you.

You're going to hate football this Superbowl. Mark my words. We're going to blow you out.

Well yawn I wonder how long it took the Bears to get over the Sneakers Game????? You were not the first teams perfect season we have ended!!!

Especially since we took your perfect season away. I just hope you guys have been watching our team real closely, because I dont believe most of your fans have looking at most of the posts. </P>

I hope its gonna be a good game and may the best team win. The ONLY thing I can say is that Tom Brady cant do it all on his own, as most of your fans believe he can. "Tom Brady cant have 2 bad games in a row" Who says so? This is the playoffs, there are ONLY good teams left if you havent noticed. We just need to pressure Brady and put him on his back. I hope Brady has a second bad game in a row. Thats all I can hope for. </P>

Being a Homer doesnt come into play.Giants match up fine with the Patriots. When U have no one that can burn the Giants deep they can stay close to the line and pressure the WR's . Your right this game wont be close but it wont be the outcome you wanted

I'm really sick of hearing how "lucky" we got in SB42!
You Pats fans never shut up about the game changing pick Eli ALMOST threw in SB 42, as if Eli is the only SB QB to ever have a pass ALMOST picked off that would have altered the outcome of the game.
It's happened to the best of QB's in every SB ever played....Brady included, so just stop already with what coulda, shoulda mighta happened.
The fact of the matter is.....your Pats DIDN'T make the game altering plays and the Giants did, and we won....end of story !!!

The Giants held a team that averaged 37 points a game to only 14 points, but that was luck. Nothing to do with defense. The 3 TD's and a FG they needed to reach their average didn't happen because of the Giants being lucky.

Also, all of the sudden I'm hearing that Tom Brady was injured for that game? Really 4 years later, all of the sudden, he was injured? So Eli was completely healthy I guess. I have never heard such ridiculousness.

</P>

Oh you forgot to mention how you want to KILL us on SB Sunday for that win early in year when your perfect QB and team had not been beaten in Back to Back games in almost 2yrs...LOL and how Brady had that nice 20game Home winning Streak. We Giants just love to CRUSH all the Patriots little Records.... What else you guys got going record wise that we can STOMP OUT on Feb 5th...lol</P>

Patriots 458 Giants - 7 BOOK IT!</P>

This guys post reminded me of why I love the Giants so much. Every year they're suppose to be the bottom-feeders of the NFC-East. They're SUPPOSE to just lay down for the Cowboys, to give Romo is day in the sun, to let the "dream team" finally get their ring.

I heard it a million times. Eli won't be able to do anything without Tiki... without Shockey... without Amani... without Plaxico... without Boss... without Steve Smith.

They were suppoe to lay down for the Cowboys in 07. Everyone predicted the Pats/Cowboys in the SB. Then they were suppose to lay down for the Packers - NO ONE went to Lambaugh in the freezing cold and beat Bret Favre - NO ONE! Then they were suppose to lay down for Tom Brady and let the Patriots take their rightful place as the greatest team of all time.

This year... same thing. They were done before the season began, the Eagles were destined to win their first SB. But the Giants stole Philly's thunder late in the 4th. Then they were suppose to be the 2nd best team in their own stadium, then they were suppose to lay down for the Cowboys, then it was the Packers - NO ONE was going to march into Green Bay this year and beat Aaron Rodgers - NO ONE! And no one thought they'd beat the 9ers and that awesome defense.

Now here we are again. Facing down Tom Brady, and no one is giving us a shot. And I ****ing love it.

I actually like this guy. I'm not gonna call you a troll, that was pretty well written and exactly how I thought a lot of you felt about it. Well, here we are. You got what you wanted. We'll see how you feel about it in the end.</P>

I agree 100%. I like him. If there were more posters like him, then "haters" and "homers" would cease to exist. "I don't care if I'm sour grapes, we were supposed to win the SB." Priceless.</P>

Start at 10 seconds in,substitute the name Tom for Leo and imagine Brady and the original poster of this thread watching replays from 08 SB-LOL

I can`t post a link so cut and paste to google.

While I understand the poster's positions and feels, Giants fans, and I'd submit to you fans of any sports fanchise have gone through similar let downs. For instance, the Giants vs. Ravens superbowl year. Our offense was completedly shutdown and our overall team wasn't at all competitive. To say the least, I was humilated as a fan and took a lot of flack for a very long time.

In the end you move on and shouldn't dwell on it.

This guy sounds like the jets fans before the jets game, the Dallas fans prior to that game, falcons fans that came and went, then we had all the confident packers fans and finally we had to deal with the 49er masses on here for a week. They all had the same song and dance on here like we are going to kill u, destroy u, end your season, yada yada yada.

Now we have this idiot on here and little does he know he will be even madder then he is now after feb 5th

You could kill us 255-0 and it would not erase 18-1.</P>

</P>

True.</P>

Heck, I'm just happy the Giants got here. Everything is gravy at this point.</P>

Patriots fans need to lighten up....if the team is as tight as the OP, they'll never be able to cover Cruz.</P>

</P>

</P>

Hey buddy, when you guys lose, I hope you come back on the boards with your "heart" in your hand. </P>

I am not sure what Patriots D you watched this year, but they were AWFUL! Straight awful brother. We just wiped out some of the top teams in the NFL and were ready to take out the last one. </P>

A blow out? Not a chance. The only thing getting blown out will be Bradys beautiful locks! lol. </P>

You Pats fan are pathetic, we came in Superbowl 42 as an underdog and out played you dumb ****s. Live with it you ginger loving, poor excuse of a cheating team MOFO! </P>

One thing I would agree with you bro but not quite the same ending. I believe too that this will be a blow out in the end but the other way around. You can say I'm a homer but never ever been a blind , arrogant or stubborn fan. The Giants have won 3 SB and watched them all, in either of them I've felt we were going to blow the doors out of the rival but contrary to popular belief don't now why I feel this one is not going to be as close .
I'm going out of my way here , don't like to predict scores or talk smack but I just saying this because I think a beat down is due. The Giants actually are due for their best game of the season, their first complete game in all fases and that can be scary more to heart broken Pats fans like you. Can't blame you feeling that way, heck you heard it first some days ago from the biggest Pat of them all Tom Brady that he can come to a grip watching the tape from that outstanding Giants win. Be careful this one can hurt more .

Think this guy also posts on the NFL boards and it seems he just can't accept that his team lost. The fact he's claiming the Giants are cheaters while the Patriots had the whole spygate scandal is hilarious.

Giants faking injuries to slow offenses they can't handle (http://www.nfl.com/fans/forums?plckForumPage=ForumDiscussion&plckDiscussionId=Cat%3a0f5a2eaf-512c-4d0d-9823-68587b26a728Forum%3aa5befb56-e598-457e-b701-b4740840b68dDiscussion%3a3c4bf2ed-0e2a-4b4d-a3fd-4c125f6daee7/)

I hope you hate us even more now, **** face!!!! G's up!!!

How often does he have two bad games in a row? Depends on if he plays two tough defenses in a row.

Just off the top of my head, the safety in the end zone (not having awareness that he was in the end zone or in the pocket, not scrambling out of the pocket and throwing the ball away or actually throwing it TO somebody), overthrowing Welker on that throw that probably would have iced the game, you expect that from a 3rd year player playing in his first SB, not a 10 year veteran playing in his 5th. This was not the Tom Brady we are used to seeing.

He even had his Eli moment at the end of the game and got Blackburned.

Your pictures don't show KP coming in from deep center, though. That pass had to be placed outside the numbers or KP would have obliterated Welker. Granted, it was a little overthrown, but Welker should have realized that the pass couldn't come up the seam and adjusted properly. Even in that pic, you see he's looking inside for the pass, when he should have been aware that it was going to come backshoulder/outside. If he made the proper adjustment then he's probably able to get under the pass for a reception.</P>

To be fair to Brady, he did make, what, 16 consecutive completions in a row, so it's not like his accuracy was lost all over the field that night.

And in Super Bowl XLII, you might remember that Eli overthrew a wide, wide open Plaxico Burress right over his head on 1st-and-10, late in the fourth quarter. Just about every quarterback has those moments.

Actually, the 01-03-04 Patriots that won the 3 Super Bowls were known for their scrappy defense (and being saved by Adam Vinatieri field goals with time running out). Back then Tom Brady was just a decent good-enough QB not the GOD he is today.

I guess with Tom Brady's ascension to godhood they just rely on him and the offense so much that defense withers. When you've got this version of Tom Brady, and your coach likes running up the score, you are going to have track meets and shootouts not 6-3 defensive slugfests.

As for Belichick I'm not sure about XLVI but in XLII as Tom Brady was getting mauled Belichick was on the sidelines coaching up the defense. Heck even in XLVI we have the now famous "make them throw to Manningham, make them throw to Ballard clip".

And even in '07, the Pats defense was 4th in yards and points allowed. They weren't flashy, but they got the job done and were overshadowed by the offense.

I think BB's issue now is that he's not as much a personnel guy as people think he is. His drafts have been bleh ever since Pioli left for KC. His defenses aren't poor because of bad scheme, he just doesn't have that many decent players anymore. He needs someone in the FO that isn't genuflecting in front of his brilliance.

What the hell are you talking about? You needed a FG to beat the Giants to get to 16-0 in 07! The G Men matched your team point for point and put up 35 on your vaunted D....so to say you won all those games easily is just plain wrong!
And yeah...the Giants had a bit of luck in the first SB go their way....but if you know the history of your own team's SB victories, you have to acknowledge how much luck went their way too!
What wasn't luck however was the whooping our Defense gave Brady in both of our SB victories against him!
Your team stopped scaring us in week 17 in 07, and we've had your team's number ever since!!!
Take some alka seltzer if those sour grapes you're chewing on start to burn!!!

Was the OP ever Man enough to come back on here and face the Music?eh.. I have come to realize that there are three kinds of Pats fans. The old timers who suffered through years of either lousy or mediocre teams. They tend to be more appreciative of what we have been able to accomplish and are more respectfull....Then you have the younger generation of fans tht are spoiled and expect to win all the time and cant accept the fact that just making it to the Super Bowl is a huge accomplishment...I will give you two guesses as to which one this fella probably is....

Just like Red Sox fans. </P>

Fan #1, old time, been around the block and appriciate what they have now (well, maybe not right now but in the 2000's winning 2 WS). They know the game well, and are actually good people to talk to. </P>

Fan #2, They "Since 2004 Bandwagon fans". These are the most annoying fans in the world. There were never any Red Sox fans around pre 2004, no pick Sox hats, no collar popped ******bag BoSox fans getting hammered and screaming Sweet Caroline in the streets where I am from. Then 2004 happened and the world nearly ended. ******s everywhere. And since have been disappearing because they havent won a playoff game since 2008. </P>

Fan #3, Fans that jumped on the bandwagon after the WS wins and go bananas after a loss yelling screaming fire everyone, trade this bum, blah blah blah. These are the fans that wanted Tito gone, forgetting he was the main reason they won. The same fans want Youk gone because new younger guys are coming up. Big mistake. </P>

Id put the OP in the Fan #2 category. Onl;y to re emerge next time the Pats are in the playoffs and winning.</P>

I think FBomb or one of you sneaky son of a guns were up to no good...Either that or this is a young kid raiding his dad's booze cabinet....

Of COURSE it was bogus. I mean, what real Patriots fan would use as their log-on handle "Patriots 18 N 1"? Not to mention his first post was essentially this one.

HOWEVER, you gotta admit it no doubt expresses the true emotions and thoughts of many nouveaux Patriots fans, yes?

This is, by far, my favorite thread out of any thread I've seen on giants.com or NFL.com. My ex and my best friend are both patriot fans, and I link this thread to them at least once a month for my personal entertainment.

I just came across your thread. First let me say you are just like every other New England fan, no class! You can't even give credit where credit is do. Now that we beat you twice for the most sought after trophy in the world, you can accept the fact that your beloved Patri***otts were dominated by the Big Blue Wrecking Crew. Brady under pressure is such a pusswade that he was falling to the ground at first sight of a Giant jersey near him. You ****** bags had an easy schedule, as usual, and now that you got "STOMPPED OUT" in both games, you cry like the little Sissy Mary that you are. I don't want to hear who was hurt, thats just an excuse for your team losing. Your team was outplayed and outcoached! You had no answer for our defensive in either game. I guess you must feel even more stupid now that you lost again. I invite to come post again and give us your thoughts. I dont hate the Patriots, I hate their fans because of M*******s like you. You think the world owes your team(s) everything. Get over it! Your team is the second best team. Swallow that and digest it!
