LT was on Inside the NFL tonight. Basically said he has a ton of regrets, and talked a lot about what has happened in the past year or so. Pretty cool interview. I like how they weren't afraid to ask him questions.

they actually did. He responded with "I asked her and that's all I could do" or something like that.

hahah he definitely loves golf more than football. Was late for an 8 o'clock game because he was still golfing.

That was THE best ITNFL I've ever seen.

It's a must-see for Giants fans.

I loved it, too, and whoever persuades LT to do it is a PR genius, b/c I think he came off very honest, & likable.

I hope that he truly learned his lesson and cuts out the childish crap, drugs, and other illegal garbage.

can you imagine the player he would have been if he becamce a student of the game ... He admits and tell stories of how he slept in meeting and always stayed out all night .... jsut imagine the beast he could've been

It was great.
James Brown didn't pull any punches with his direct questioning about LT's last 'faux pas'.. I'd assume LT knew it was coming and gave permission... but, how many would man up and allow such probing and personal questions about ones mistakes, and for a very long time, on such a popular program. Props to you, LT.

Classic stuff indeed - reminiscent of the golden years of the 1950's.

I'm 30 and my memories of my dad rooting for LT and Simms will always b some of my favorite memories. I was really young, but even then I remember LT making his presence known on the field. Back then Giants games were very low scoring, usually decided by a field goal or two. There's no excuse for his past regressions, but he manned up on the show. I can only recommend that he move to Nevada if he ever thinks of partaking in prostitution. This was one of the best episodes of Inside The NFL. The stories of how slack LT was, are crazy.... I'm sure he gave 100% during the game, imagine how beast he would have been if he did the same in practice.

Based on this thread I can't tell if you people love or hate LT. some of you sound like sanctimonious, judgmental Mrs. Kravitz type suburbanites. Grow a pair and judge him for his body of work, you don't know him.

Good in theory but for some people it is being that kind of person that drives them to do amazing things and look at things in a different way. LT took his no holds bar attitude on the field and I for one think that is the only way he probably could have played.

Did you really just say that LT *could* have been a beast?

I admire his honesty and self-awareness.

He fell on the sword, if you will, for all his off-field troubles. He's human and should be judged as such.

For what he did on the field, nobody in their right mind should EVER question what he was/is

That had to be one of the funniest Insider the NFL episodes. I sure hope he stays out of trouble. His stories with Phil were awesome though.

Saw that last night, actually got up late for work b/c I stayed up just to watch it, and the most interesting part of the interview to me was when Collinsworth asked why america should think LT has finally changed and LT turned and said "I never said that I've changes, it's the world that's changed." </P>

Thought that was very interesting. </P>

One thing I liked was how candid LT was, didn't give any canned answers. Also, liked how honest we was with himself and the cast. When asked if he was going to walk the straight and narrow, basically he made no promises. He knew the kind of person he was and how he often makes bad decisions. He'll try, that's all he would say. Better than many other athletes that get caught doing somethign and act as if it was out of their character or it was only a one time thing. </P>

But one thing I didn't like was how he spoke as if the things he's been through are things that have happened to him, as ifhe had no control over them, not things that he's done. </P>

He said alot of "this happened to me, and then the world through this at me"</P>

At one point he said "sometimes things happen, you can't help it, like if you're in a car accident". </P>

Not enough of "I did then I messed up again when I did that"</P>

Didn't see it but what a fall from grace...The best OLB that changed the game forever reduced to a man on a PR campaign to defend himself. I don'tlike his actions off the field but man I did love watching him play on the field...

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. We all have our demons... EVERY one of us.
I can't walk in his shoes, so I can't judge him... evidently you feel pure enough to judge... good for you... your place in heaven is secure (where's my red font when I need it?)
Cokehead... yes. But, clean for 13 years.
Rapist? I think not. He had consentual sex with a woman claiming to be legal age. She lied. LT learned the truth after the fact. Perhaps the legal system can label him a rapist. I'm not so sure God will. What he was guilty of was cheating on his wife. He admitted that. Regardless... I don;t need to defend him. God will judge him, although I'm sure He will consider your opinion at that time.

Love the part where LT says he did Joe Theisman a favor when he broke his leg since "he was on his way out."
