Anymore?

I think I can tolerate everyone else

I think it varies season by season, game by game.

1. Patriots
2. Cowboys
3. 49ers <--- They jumped up after the giants playoff win.

Why I say 49er fans? It isn't because of their players.

#1. Excuse making fans. #2. Refuse to eat crow after talking ton of trash. #3.
+150 arrests/thrown out of Candlestick Park weekly. #4. Group of 49er
fans jumped Giant fans and then went after a 49er fan taping the attack.
#5. Group of 49er fans harassing? innocent Saints? fan with 2 teenage
daughters.? #6. Harbaugh making excuses. #7. 49er fans making death
threats to Williams. #8. With fans cheering, the 49er fans female Royal

2. Cowboys
3. Jets

Don't hate GB, I look at them as a kindred franchise. Although I didn't like the title belt thing.

The three I listed run against everything the Giants organization stands for (speak softly, draft well, long term stability, no frills football, etc.). Everything Wellington Mara stood for.

You don't hate the eagles? 0_o

Eagles? I dislike them and hate Vick (dog killer) but the Eagles don't win much (SBs) and I am not around lot of Eagles fans in real life. And I mostly online chat with Patriot and Cowboy opposing fans online and they say the most idiotic things.

And with Patriots cheating and Red Sox fans mixing in, it makes me despise the Pats even more.

Teams I dislike:
Cowboys, Redskins, Eagles - for obvious reasons, but I respect the rivalry.
Jets - ever since the Pillsbury Toe Boy came to town.
Detroit - Dirt-bag coach, dirt-bag team

Teams I hate:
San Francisco - some of the worst fans in sports

Coaches I hate:
Andy Reid - Just have no respect for his coaching style
Mike Holmgren - I know he's not coaching anymore but I still hate the guy
Rex Ryan - 3x Imaginary Super Bowl Champion
John or Jim Harbaugh - whichever one coaches the Niners

Teams I route for if we're out:
Packers, Steelers, Patriots, Colts, Chiefs

There aren't any other teams that I despise. I'm not exactly enthralled with Cowboys fans because I think that too many of them are front-runners who jumped on the bandwagon in the '90s, but I've never hated the team. The 'skins have just been too pathetic for too long to have any hatred of.

The Cowboys and Eagles are 1A and 1B on my most hated list. It kind of varies year to year who is 1A depending on who is playing better. After that there's a big distance to the Redskins and Jets. Jets used to be #4 but thanks to Rex Ryan they leapfrogged the Redskins. Redskins are really only on the list because they're in the division and I know that one day they might be good again.

After the Giants my favorite teams are probably the Packers and Steelers (although the various Roethlisberger rape accusations and James Harrison fines kind of made the team take a hit in my eyes lately). I'll root for the Colts and Saints too because I like Peyton and Brees. But obviously, if the Giants face any of those teams there's no question of who I'm rooting for.

Also, I root against Rivers (especially) and Roethlisberger (to a lesser extent) because I want history to remember Eli as the best QB from that draft. I know that kind of contradicts what I wrote about the Steelers.

I'm surprised to see Philly above Dallas on a lot of lists. If the two play, I "root" for Philly. While I do hate the Eagles, I rather enjoy the rivalry [although I prefer we have the recent upper hand]. I don't wish raging diarrhea upon them like I do for the Cowboys.

1. Dallas
2. Philly

4. 49ers

The Redskins are not on the hate list. While I do not wish them well due to divisional reasons, I liked Gibbs.

Other teams I've had an affinity for is the Dolphins and Ravens.

HATE:
1) Eagles-Cowboys: depends on who's more dominant. For example, this year the hatred was much stronger towards the Cowboys, last year it was the Eagles.
2) Jets (fans and coach): as for players, I really don't mind them; but I can't stand Rex Ryan and the fans. I live about an hour out of Manhattan so I have to deal with them a lot as well.
3) Patriots: for me, this hatred was born out of SB 42. I had always been a Giants fan in name, but in 8th grade, SB 42 was the first time I had been really excited for a game and watched the whole thing from start to finish. Because of this, I developed a deep hatred for the team that even my dad doesn't understand (most of my feelings towards other teams come from him).
4) 49ers: after this last game, I had such an enormous amount of disdain for their fans it was ridiculous. Really just hate the fanbase and organization as a whole now.

RESPECT/LIKE:
1) Colts: I've always rooted for them, as I'm a huge fan of anything and everything Manning. If Peyton doesn't play there next year, well, I don't think I'll renew my honorary fanship.
2) Packers: classy organization, nice traditional team. Really nothing to hate about them so I'm okay with it.
3) Steelers: This one goes under the "respect" category; I root for them simply because my boyfriend is a big fan and he gets very upset when they lose (and yes, he was devastated after the Denver game). I actually really disliked them before because they were like the Yankees of football, and my hatred for the Yankees almost runs deeper than my hatred for the Cowboys/Eagles...but not quite.

I don't have the Redskins anywhere on here because frankly, I don't care about them. As long as I've been watching football they've been completely irrelevant, even though they beat us twice this year. Almost to the point where if they were good and made it in the postseason, I'd root for them to represent the NFC East. Definitely would not do that for our other two divisional rivals.

It always starts with the NFC East....just a matter of who is the most dangerous.

Back in the 1980s, it was the Redskins....in the 1990s, it was the Cowboys....in the 2000's the Eagles.

Last year, it was the Eagles first, this year, the Cowboys.

Right now:

Cowboys

Eagles

Redksins

After that, I'd have to go 49ers, because their coach is a whiny b**** and their fans are loud mouthed thugs.

I used to admire the Steelers, but I think Ben Roethlisberger is a piece of s**** for how he treats women.

That's pretty much it.

I really don't understand the Patriots hate ?

Probably from the Boston/NY thing.

I prefer Pats not give any fuel to Boston, but Pats weren't relevant enough for me to hate them when I became a football fan

sure Yanks vs those other guys, but they share a Division. Giants and Pats don't. Except for SB42 there really was no "history" between either club.

I can't imagine being a Mets fan and Giants fan though. Some of you guys have to deal with the Eagirls and Phillies... ewww

1 eagles/cowboys
2 jets
3 pats
4 steelers
5 chargers
6 saints

pats and steelers cuz I hate their quarterbacks and the fact that they've been to a lot of super bowls in recent memory. I like to see more parity in the big dance (unless it's the giants of course).
Chargers cuz of rivers and the media hype they used to have before this season. If you think about it the chargers are a lot like the eagles actually (minus the fans + city). Saints because them winning the super bowl didn't save the city of new orleans for crying out loud, I hate brees ridiculous state inflation, and we always get blown out in the dome and never play them at home it seems.

Also I've lived in redskins territory the last 12 years and they are a great fanbase. Plus minus this year we've owned them for the last decade so I stopped seeing them as much of a threat.

Let's see...

Eagles - While there are a few diehard fans that are polite, most of them live up to the reputation they are known for. What annoys me the most is that they act like the rest of their division just got lucky when they won championships and they can't admit that their FO just doesn't match up with the rest of the division.

A ton of people predicted that signing Vick to a large contract would be a mistake due to the fact defenses would figure him out. He's also very injury prone.

Cowboys - My experiences seem to be different from most here but I've yet to meet a single obnoxious Cowboys fan. They've all been class acts and are pretty rational with their opinions. I don't want to see them succeed since they are our divisional rivals but I view them as a really talented team that always shoots themselves in the foot more than a team I despise due to personality like the Eagles.

Redskins - They've lost so much in recent years that I can't waste my hatred on them. I kinda wish they would get better so we could say that our division has 4 really good teams.

Jets - Was neutral towards them until Rex Ryan kinda forced the issue and made this into a rivalry. The fact most of their fanbase gets behind this petty quarrel makes me hate them.

Patriots - Only dislike when we play them. Belichick's respect for the Giants organization makes it hard for me to hate them.

Saints - I respect the team but god...have their fans been really arrogant ever since they won that Superbowl. They act like they are going to win the entire thing every year and you can just tell they got a huge bandwagon following ever since. Probably ex-Chargers fans who like Brees over Rivers.

49ers - I actually rooted for this team to get better and improve in recent years. They had the talent but always lacked the coaching. After this game and how their fans acted on here, I think I only hate the Eagles more than them at the moment. Harbaugh's way of handling the loss didn't exactly help either.

Colts - I can root for these guys. Just like Colts fans show us support because Eli is their QB's little brother, I do the same because Peyton is Eli's big brother. Also like the personalities of Jeff Saturday and Reggie Wayne.

Packers - In a bizarro universe where the New York Giants don't exist, I probably would of been a Packers fan. Small town, one of the original teams, classy fans...I love it.

Steelers - Maras and Rooneys go a long way back. Mucho respect.

Texans - I see them as the new kid and it was a treat getting to see them in the playoffs for the very first time. Andre Johnson is a class act and I liked seeing him get to enjoy the playoffs.

All I care to comment on for now.

I've always hated the Cowboys the most as far back as I can remember, but the Eagles were never very far behind. More recently I have grown to hatePhilly more.

Hate the Jets....NY's red headed step-child.

Cowboys, Eagles and Patriots(from before sb42 even)

After that it is usually fine and varies game to game or by season. Like obviously the Jets running their mouths makes me not like them as much but no where close to hate like the 3 teams above. Redskins have just been so bad the entire time I have watched the Giants otherwise I would have them in that list probably.

Outside of the obvious ones (Cowboys, Eagles, Redskins) it tends to vary for me season to season. It's not just about the uniform...it's the players wearing them. For example, I was generally a person who supported the Jets, and hoped that someday they'd turn things around...for obvious reasons I don't feel that way anymore. Considering I wasn't around for those great San Francisco teams in the 80's, I was absolutely pulling for the 49ers until last weekend...I can't say I dislike them now, but there's no denying that the team acted collectively like sore losers...oh well. I'd be pissed too I guess.

As far as teams I almost always enjoy watching outside of the Giants, I would consider the Steelers one of mine. That may be surprising to some who can't stand them, but I don't know...a lot of what they do is similar to the Giants way of doing things, and in general I just love their style. With that said, I wasn't exactly weeping when they lost to Denver...I think they have enough rings...

2. Patriots
3. Cowboys

5. Chargers
6. Saints
7. Packers (only as of this year, I tend to dislike teams that get all of the hype, especially at the QB position hence the Saints being on there as well, also because they ran up the score and were so focused on stats)

Depends on your definition of success. Stephon Marbury and Tiki Barber put up solid numbers during their careers. I, also heard that LT was quite the *****nozzle back in the day. Then, there's Broadway Joe. Amare Stoudimaire (sp?) helped bring the Knicks back to relevency. How about, the entire New York Jets, who made deep playoff runs, the last few years. Then, there is Plaxico Burress. Carmelo? And as you mentioned, A-Rod.

I don't think that would have gone well in New York...but who knows? I'm glad the Giants decided to go with Eli.Yeah, he would have been a terrible fit for New York

Name the last New York athlete that had any success with those attributes.
Bobby Bonilla?*

You could say A-Rod when he first got here.

Shockey?

Roger Clemens?

That's an interesting question. I'm not saying it would have been impossible for him ot find success, I just think it would have been an uphill battle for him. For one, yelling at fans in the stands would not have gone well with our fans...at least that's what I assume. There's nothing wrong with having an edge, but his "edge" comes off like he may be a bit soft at times...as I said, "overly-emotional." There's no way to tell how he would have turned out in New York, but again, it's irrelevant...I'm happy to have Eli.

Thats easy .Anyone who has been a Giant fan for any significant amount of time will tell you
1(Eagles
2(Cowboys and
3( Jets.

Especially since lard *** ryan became coach.I used to not mind the Jets so much .They were like an annoying little brother. But since lard butt came and started running his mouth, they're easy to hate

I guess it does when he's playing well. I mean, let me put it this way...when Plax was here, I loved what he did on the field...but I was uncomfortable with the distractions that he seemed to cause off the field. Most Giants fans seem to feel the same way...and that was a wide-receiver. The quarterback of any team is easily the player that receives the most exposure and scrutiny. Now multiply that exposure by, well...A LOT in the New York market, and all of a sudden, a guy with a small attitude problem can become a guy with a whole ton of pressure weighing him down.

I mean, I don't know...maybe I'm talking out of my *** haha. I think you're right...NOBODY appreciates that kind of crap out of a punk like Rivers. I just feel like maybe some fanbases would tolerate more? I'd like to think that most Giants fans appreciate our history and tradition based (mostly) on class and respectability. I know there are some guys who break that mold...namely Lawrence Taylor. Again, it's hard to really gauge since it DIDN'T happen. Personally though, I just straight up don't like the guy, and I think I would have a hard time rooting for him...especially after having a year like THIS. Yikes.

I myself have always considered the Giants like a brother to the Packers in the NFC. Both teams play out in the elements and both blue collar football teams. Hey if you win trophy No. 4 you will be tied with us. That would be sweet. My most hated teams are.
1. Bears
2. Vikings
3. Lions
4. Saints- It started this season with them running up the score and their fans really running their mouths.
5. Patriots

Yeah, you got a point, I tend to forget about the "other" teams I don't follow (Mets/Jets/Nets) and only remember the players with good character on the teams I follow.

Throw in Latrell Spreewell.

Lambau 12,

Last year I rooted for the Packers in the SB and had to listen to the crap from the locals here(Central PA) who are Steelers fans.

Actually I live in a wasteland where 1/3 are ravens fans,1/3 Steelers fans and 1/3 eagles fans.

The Pack and the Giants are pretty similar historically.
Lombardi started with the Giants.

There is a local Packers connection for me as Kuhn is from here, 5 miles from me.
At one time I liked the Steelers, but Big Ben and his off the field incidents turned me against them.
