How loyal are fans of theNew York (http://www.giants101.com/tag/new-york/)Giants? So loyal that they're willing to lose some profit in order to properly back their favorite team.

Shaun Clancy, the owner ofFoley's Pub (http://foleysny.com/)in Manhattan, has announced that hewill not serve Boston-based brew Sam Adams (http://www.yardbarker.com/all_sports/articles/msn/foleys_pub_in_new_york_will_not_offer_sam_adams_be er_during_super_bowl/9623827)until afterSuper Bowl XLVI (http://www.giants101.com/tag/super-bowl-xlvi/)has concluded.

Although a beer connoisseur will undoubtedly come forward in protest claiming Sam Adams is brewed and bottled in Cincinnati, that is beside the point. Clancy is making a statement by boycotting Boston, and thus, theNew England (http://www.giants101.com/tag/new-england/)Patriots.

But that's not all. Clancy and Ken Casey, lead vocalist for the Boston-based band Dropkick Murphys, have taken this one step further and made a friendly wager. The loser must donate profits from the sale of shepherd’s pie from Super Bowl Sunday all the way through until MLB Opening Day to a charity of their choosing. Furthermore, the loser will also have to don an opposing jersey (Patriots for Clancy or Giants for Casey) and bartend at the winner's pub.

There have been several interesting bets in recent weeks, with the Mayor of San Francisco losing one that resulted in a cable car being dressed in Giants colors and logos (will appear on Super Bowl Sunday) to rapper 50 Cent sayinghe'll bare it all (http://www.giants101.com/2012/01/26/rapper-50-cent-ready-to-bare-it-all-if-new-york-giants-lose-super-bowl-xlvi/)if the Giants lose.

All of this pales in comparison to the big game however, where the most important result is on the line.

Don't restrict yourself to "sports" bars. Walk around mid-town (8th Avenue to 5th Avenue, 33rd to 45th streets) and see whose celebrating the GIANTS.

Last Super Bowl we were in, I watched it at Scruffy Duffy's over in Hells Kitchen. Too bad the bar has changed hands, but it was a great time and after we won, THOUSANDS of people flooded the streets and marched to times square to celebrate.... It was amazing
