9 sacks in 9 games 3 1/2 in the playoffs is a big part of the reason that the Giants are there. Totally humble and understated, yeah Osi sit where you want in the team photo. The Giants better pay that man and kep the good mojo going because Osi is the heart and soul of the Giants D. He never tried to pull rank when Tuck stepped up when Strahan retired and he goes HARD always. I pray that they can keep JPP,Tuck and Osi together for a long time.

Humble? hahahahahahaha Understated? Hahahaha. If he were humble, and not injury prone, and played the run well, then I'd say pay the man. Right now he's not worth what you or he thinks he is, and that's the problem. I'll miss him, he'd be a great pass rush specialist.

So 9 sacks in 9 games gives him the right to be the black sheep at the Giants team photo shoot?

Not sure how that makes sense. In that case then maybe JPP should be sitting in the middle of the front row.

I think he was late to the pic. So they just ended up putting him there.

I dont get all the Osi hate, he was told if he performed he would get paid. He performed very well last season and didn't get paid. I'd be pissed too.

He's the 3rd best DE on the team and would be tied at 3 if Kiwi were still a de, and he thinks and acts and whines like he's a top 5 de in the league. Love the sack production, hate his run D, and whining, and he can't play a full year.

I don't hate Osi at all. I think he's one of the best speed rushers in the game. I do question his behavior at times because with him it always seems to be more about him than the team.

He's very valuable to the team and is an impact player but it would be nice if he didn't always complain about his contract even after a few years ago when he got a really nice extension.

They can't afford to pay him. It's always been the problem. They have so much money tied up in guys like Canty that they can't afford to pay guys like Osi. In the next couple of years they have to figure out how to pay guys like Victor Cruz, Hakeem Nicks, JPP. Would you have Osi over one of those players?

I want them to pay Osi too, but it's not going to happen.

That's where you're wrong. He missed an entire season with an injury. He was told if he performs the next couple years JR would talk to him about it. The Giants aren't obligated to give him ANYTHING regardless of what JR may or may not have told him in private. He's under contract, period.

In 2005 he signed a seven-year, $41 million extension, including $15
million guaranteed.

Ask Tuck what he's getting paid...

Also, it's not hate. It's frustration. But there will be plenty of time for this in the off season. Right now he's not complaining and giving 100%. I can't ask for more.

I'm glad Osi put the contract temper tantrum on the backburner.

But the team is already up against the cap, guys like Kiwi, Mannigham, and T2 are up. Cruz and JPP need to be locked up to long term contracts ASAP. Tuck is playing on a bargain contract and deserves a new contract too -- and Tuck is keeping his mouth shut about it and not holding out of training camp.

I don't think Jerry Reese would keep Osi at $1, after the training camp war. He's goner than gone. He wants top 5 DE money and he's not a top 5 DE, both JPP and Tuck deserve that consideration before Osi. Osi is a situational pass rusher (a very good one, mind you) but not a complete DE.

Osi is a game changer. The strip sack is a game changer. You need game changers to make it to the super bowl. It's no coincidence the secondary started "playing better" when Osi came back. You can't double Tuck, Osi and JPP.

I think we'd all love to keep him, but there is a salary cap which is the same reason why we probably won't be able to keep MM after this year.

I'd keep Osi for 1 more year at least to finish out this contract. But after that, I couldn't say.

I say you are wrong.Osi brings many intangibles to the team; The Giants bungled the deal and he showed character the way he handled it. He's playing with pain every week and is producing on a massive level. Based upon his stats, if he had played 16 games he would have had 16 sacks just like JPP. I don't praise JPP because he is still earning his bones; one good year does not an Osi make. Osi is leader enough to lead by example. The Giants better find a way to keep JPP,Tuck and Osi together next year or you will see a huge drop off in production. The Big Base 3 DE defense that Fewell created rocks.

If you thought you had a deal and them someone pulled the rug out from under you, you might have done more than grumble once and then show up and produce. The guy loves the Giants organization and they ARE a good organizationand and typically loyal to players. I hope that they can pay the man and keep JPP, Tuck and Osi together because it's a winning formula. Tuck and Osi will be physically healed up next year and the way JPP is playing who knows they could repeat.

sorry but i think this is stupid you people are arguing where he sits in the team photo. smfh were in the superbowl get the **** over it. wow

fact is osi produced when needed
hes been humble throughout the season, played where they told him to play whether starting or not.
produced in the post season
and is giving rest to our other pass rushers in the rotation.
creates mismatches cause he lines up on RDE and LDE

so ****ing what if hes not goot at the run cause he rushes the passer more so that protect the gap then guess what SLB come down and make the tackle. or DT pull off the and chase the runner.

i'm so ****ing tired of you posters *****ing and moaning about this guy that's playing and producing for the team. your worrying about money that's not even yours to worry about. if the giants want to retain osi they will restructure to do so. who saw that we were going to drop richie, ohara, not pay boss and not pay smith post lock out ???? who?

no one so like i said if they want him they will find a way to keep him, if they don't they will let him go. but dont ****ing play yourself like osi didn't produce for this team like everyone else to get us here

The thing I just find weird is everyone else is following the rules standing in order and also if you notice on the front row, everyone has their hands placed on their knees except Osi.

Osi is not only out of order but he also has his hands together over his lap....Like I said it just seems weird that isn't abiding with the team. He looks like the black sheep of the picture.

Showed character???? He held out of training camp and demanded a trade, only coming back when every trick in the book failed and he had lost.

I will give him credit for putting the business side on the back burner and playing well as of late, but the team picture and the $20,000 no show for the media are not good signs and to me say his ego is flaring up.
