I was watching SB XLII on NFL reply and noticed how bad our coverage oof Welkers was.It seemed that Brady would hit him with short 10-15 yard passesslanting downthe middle almost at will. It was like we knew he was getting thrown to, but couldn't do aanything to stop it. With the addition of Gronk and Hernendez since then, throw in Branch and yes the lame but still somewhat dangerous Ochocique, we can't allow Welkers to run rampit in the middle. So how do you slow down all these weapons at once, tuff cat to skin......

They did this in '07 as well. Welker moved the ball at will against us, but they kept going back to the vertical ball.

I have a nasty feeling Gronk being less than 100% will be problematic for us as Welker gets more looks.

Brother...you and others couldn't be more wrong about me being a Pats fan. I will give you this though....your absolutely right about me being a newbie on this site.

Let me clear some things up for you and others about me.........
I grew up in North Jersey and recently retired from the military after 22 years of active duty. I've been a NY Giants and NY Yankees fan since the early 70's. I now live in Northern Virginia and recently joined this site (last week...I think). Throughout my military career I have spent many a years either overseas or far enough away from the NJ/NY area to discuss Giants football with someone who shared the same big blue passion as I do. Only recently a local redskin fan buddy of mine ...of all people, informed me about this site.

A little feedback to yours and others comments .....
Although somewhat understandable, the comments made by you and others, which were mainly based on two things; my misspelling of the name Welker and being a newbie on this site.... were way over the top.
I'm a Giants fan whose spelling sucs and new on this site.....so that makes me and other Giants fans that can't spell or are new on here ... trolls? Or, as you put it, 'Pat fans scared to come on wearing their colors".....C'mon man....WTF was that all about.
I simply wanted to start some conversion and get others opinions regarding my post and all I got was some paranoia based comments ,,,,,grow the FU man

Its all good.

Don't let the rabble ruin your enjoyment of the boards.

You'll find that there are several different types of posters, and all come with their positives and negatives.

1) The True Homer (Roanokefan) who will say nary a bad word about our team whether they are doing well or not. He's always optimistic and positive.

2) The Rah Rah Guys ... they rarely have reasoned points and are content with GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!!

3) The Equivocator ... always argumentative even to the point of disagreeing those who agree with him.

4) The Agreeable Guy ... most posts consist of "+1"

5) Doom & Gloom - No matter how good the Giants are doing, some facet of the team is about to go down in flames (if not the whole team itself)

6) Bandwagoners - only seen when the Giants are winning.

7) The Truth Sayers ... doesn't matter how wrong they are ... they're only speaking the truth.

8) DNR ... these are the posters that are just this side of needing the plug pulled (you've met some of them already).

9) The Clowns ... we have points to make but usually give up and go for the quick giggle (even if it's a private giggle).

Welcome to the boards, don't take ANYTHING seriously and GOOOOOO PATS!

I mean Giants.

like I said in my original post...it all starts with Brady. Our front four puts serious pressure on him.... forget Welker, Gronk, Hernedez and the rest of the recievers. Have you noticed that after he is either sacked, hurried, or knocked down several times, he starts looking to yell at someone and if it's done enough times, his frustration eventually eats him up and he starts screwing up

I think every Giants fan has noticed this.

It's my favorite highlight from SB42.

But I desperately want to see JPP do a backflip after sacking Brady.

Defensively the approach to this game will be to keep Welker in front of the DB's, relying on pressure to force Brady to throw sooner than he would like and possibly make a mistake. This has worked throughout the playoffs so I don't see them changing it that much. The TE's for the PATS will be the bigger problem, not the receivers. We will likely see a strong nickel set (3 safeties) for a lot of this game.

Brady will get his plays, but they have contained him before and can do it again

Amen...but we can't afford the consistant 10-15 yard quick release passess which chew clock and eventually score points. Unless we put together consistant point scoring drives as well........which we are capabale of doing against their defense...although they have upped their game a tad
