The Giants are talking. A ton (http://www.bostonherald.com/blogs/sports/rap_sheet/index.php/2012/02/02/the-giants-are-confident-and-not-afraid-to-show-it/).
From claims of planned parades and speaking under the assumption that
they will simply win Super Bowl XLVI, talk is apparently no longer
cheap.

Meanwhile, the Patriots are, well, being themselves. Not saying much.
Just going about their business. But aren’t they annoyed? Turns out,
not so much. Not before the game, anyway.

“I don’t care about what’s been said,” DT Vince Wilfork said. “They
feel confident and we do, too. The game is never won in the papers or
through media. You always have to rely on the game on that Sunday, or
whenever the game is. For us, that’s Sunday. We’ll do all our talking on
Sunday. We don’t have to go out and say what we want to do and how we
feel. I know we are very confident, they are very confident. If they
weren’t, they wouldn’t be in the position that they’re in. Both teams
want to win, but it’s on game day. It’s not now, it’s on game day.”

By this point, even though they are the other team in NY, the Pats
aren’t surprised. Apparently, the Giants reputation for keeping quiet is
not deserved.

“I’m not surprised,” guard Logan Mankins said. “We’ve
played these guys a few times now, you kind of can expect this from
their side. I don’t blame them for being confident and wanting to win.
We would love to have a big parade for our fans too. We know only one
team can win and it’s either going to be our fans or their fans. We’ll
just have to wait and see. Football is about making your statement on
the field. The game is on the field. It’s not during the week, or in
practice, or through the media, it’s on Sunday in that three hour block.
We’ll see who does the talking this weekend.”

Kinda wish they just shut up. They have backed it up so far this postseason.

Yep, another non story. If anyone actually watched the Wilfork presser, they'd see how out of context his quote is being used. His point wasn't that the Giants are talking too much, it was more that the media was making too much of it.

The media is evil.

The Falcons, Packers and 49ers all laughed at the Giants "trash talking" and we know what happened there.

it aln't braggin' if it's true.

and we do talk trash compared to the Pats
who say exactly what they are told to say.....
absolutely nothing controversial.
Ocho- Cinqo , one of the funnest quote and
gagsters out there has nothing to say.
they are sterile.

Jets trashtalk > Giants trashtalk > Pats trashtalk

Giants walk > Pats walk > Jets walk

Nothing can ever top Bradys questioning that the patsies were only going to score 17 points and then laughing. While nothing is certain in the NFL, I like the Giants to win this game by playing as a team.

Exactly. I think the Pats are trying to put the Giants on their heels. And I hope the Giants don't back down one bit, but even step it up. This years Giants sound just like the '07 Giants. They're not saying anything better or worse than they did that playoff run. Just full of confidence, and I don't think the Pats like it.

The pats have been the most coddled and frothed over NFL franchise for the past 12 years. And ESPN are the biggest cheerleaders. Not only that, the pats monumentally arrogant.

The same media that complains of players never being honest, always giving the vanilla answer now has a team that says what they think, and they call it trash talk? Whatever! If the giants were playing the ravens it would be called confidence or not backing down from a bully, but they're playing Tommy and Bill. Their Tommy and Bill!

You just can't do that to our Tommy and Bill!!!!!!
