I watch almost every ESPN radio talk show, Mike and Mike, First Take, The Herd, Sportsnation, etc., and majority of the people are picking the giants! Some going as far as calling a 10+ blowout. Games like Seattle, Miami, Arizona, Eagles(2nd time), Giants we always heavily favored, and in all those games they didn't live up to expectations. So now i'm weary every time we are heavily favored. I love the underdog role, and the team thrives off it. Hopefully in their mind, they are still the underdogs, for winning sake.
What are your guys thoughts about everyone picking the Giants?

I could care less what the analysts are saying or what the vegas odds are but you are exaggerating ESPN taking the Giants.

After looking at just the espn experts, espn.com writers and espn
analysts picks, the Giants have an edge in the picks but it is pretty
close. 29 pick Giants and 25 pick Patriots. Added Steve A. Smith picking Giants....Jon Richie and Skip
Bayless picking Patriots.

I don't care.

Nothing but "littlestitious" things.

Well everyone loves when we are underdogs, so I have no clue about how people feel with the other side of it.

Me, idc either way.

I looked at the espn writers and analysts picks, and was a little surprised at how many chose the Patriots. Skip Bayless picked the Patriots, but only because he chose them to win it at the beginning of the year. He said he believe the Giants will probably win. 65% of vegas bets are going to the Giants, which is huge. Hopefully they don't let it get to their head, maybe not even listen to the picks. Keep the under dog mentality, works in our favor.

We're not picked to win big. Vegas has us -3 -- we're the underdog and are not expected to win.

You said 65% of vegas bets are going to the Giants.... I kind of believe it but did you hear that from a source or just assuming it?

The fact that you watch the radio makes me a little sad. But No, I don't care who picks for us or against us because they like us when we're up and they bail on us when we're down and they hate us when we make them look stupid for picking against us.

Heard it from a source. I live in Vegas, and regularly bet, had a conversation with the guy at the Casino and said that people are putting big BIG money on the giants, along with 65% of the casual bettors going with the Giants.

Why is it a little sad? Love listening to their shows and watching them, and even though they don't always have the brightest or most popular insight, they are there for a reason, and we are here on a forum posting our opinions.

I listen to ESPN radio just to see if I am missing something that they may bring to my attention. Sometimes I do get an insightful info. but they are mostly from former players and head coaches, not the media personalities, those types are just going with their gut feeling and typical bias.

I am with you, bro. I HATE it when some announcers or analysts say that this will be an easy victory. I like it better when we go under the radar, when everybody underestimates us. I definitely hope the players are not getting overconfident. Thankfully, from the interviews I have seen of Coughlin and the players, I do not think that our players will underestimate the Patriots. Nevertheless, I am surprised that some people seem to think this will be an easy victory. We are playing TOM BRADYand the PATRIOTS! We should not be scared, but we definitely mustkeep ourselves from getting the big head. I agree with you 100%.
