I guess he really wants a copy of Todd Gongwer's book "Lead for God's Sake"? Something doesn't seem right here. He hasn't sent a message for two days and now he responds to a Jason Romano tweet with a prediction on the score?

I just don't understand why they feel they need to throw stuff out there like that? I hate this kind of stuff and I hated it when Plax did it too. Canty better pray they win or else he's going to be the scapegoat, and it's gonna be ugly.

I think it's at a point now where maybe Coughlin talks to him and tells him to tone things down some. I love the confidence and the passion. I think that's important. But talking this much isn't the Giants way. Stick with what got you here- Quiet confidence!

All I know is Chris Canty, better get a good bull rush up the middle into Brady's face! Especially on 3rd downs!! He better back up all this talk with a great performance today! Win, and this is water under the bridge.

With hours to go before Sunday's Super Bowl (http://www.nfl.com/superbowl), New York Giants (http://www.nfl.com/teams/newyorkgiants/profile?team=NYG) defensive end Chris Canty (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/players/playerpage/407848/chris-canty) predicted success for his team one more time, tweeting his guess (https://twitter.com/#%21/ChrisCanty99/status/166207362120691712) at the final score: "Giants 28, New England (http://www.monster.com/) 17."</p>

</p><div class="nfl-video-tag nfl-video-small nfl-video-right" id="vid1" style="visibility: hidden; width: 384px; height: 216px;">

</div>

Canty had previously promised that the Giants will be throwing a victory parade next week, making headlines but drawing little (http://www.nfl.com/goto?id=09000d5d82691162) in the way of ire from Patriots players.</p>

"When
a guy says (what Canty said), you don't really take offense to it
because what else is he supposed to think?" Patriots cornerback Devin McCourty (http://www.nfl.com/players/devinmccourty/profile?id=MCC600258)
told the Newark Star-Ledger Thursday in response to Canty's parade
comments. "He's not supposed to think he's going to walk off the field a
loser in the Super Bowl."</p>

Sunday's tweet showed that Canty has a very specific idea of exactly how the Giants will walk off the field.</p>

Canty tweeted the line in response to the following tweet from @JasonRomano (https://twitter.com/#%21/JasonRomano/status/166205298216935425),
whose LinkedIn bio lists him as an ESPN producer: "Send me your Super
Bowl predictions that stink -- Closest to the score gets a copy of
@ToddGongwer's new book "Lead for God's Sake'".</p>

The NFL -- which allowed players to send tweets (http://www.nfl.com/goto?id=09000d5d826521f1)
during last Sunday's Pro Bowl game -- prohibits players from tweeting
90 minutes before regular-season games. Canty's tweet was sent at 12:11
p.m. ET, three hours and 18 minutes before Sunday's scheduled kickoff of
3:29 p.m. ET.</p> </div>

Honestly, you cant lose the game because of something someone tweets. lol.

Its all about play on the field.

stay positive...this win will require a TEAM effort: offense, defense, and special teams are going to have to bring their A game. This is the Superbowl, we need our guys to be confident. Canty is predicting a close win, not a blow out... so i wouldnt consider him being overly confident. He believes in this team and so do I. Go get em new York Football Giants!

Yes, yes.

The heavens will open and render Canty asunder.

He will be excommunicated.

He will be cast out, to wander aimlessly as a Man Without a Country for the remainder of his days.

His family will turn their backs, wear black for 90 days, and tear their remnants.
