i think brady had a good game, imo the drops hurt them bad., but a win is a win, and nothing was handed to the Giants they earned it fair and square.

Carton and Mad Dog will certainly say it. Francessa might say it.

Everyone will fawn over Eli - and that is really all that needs to be said. What a player. Some of his throws were legendary.

Eli 296 30/40 1 td
brady 276 27/41 2 td 1 int

let them discuss all they want

Bad throw by Brady and bad attempt by Welker.

Even if he should have made that play, it would only got them in field goal range and Giants could have stopped them there. And Eli would have to drive for game winning TD that we all know he can.

I wish the Giants were "lucky" to get correct calls.

The Boothe phantom hold that took the giants out of scoring range.

The pass interference that wasn't called. Moore pulled on a shoulder pad before pass came.

There has never been a close game played that didn't have the element of luck happen at some point or another.

Luck has nothing to do with it.

Eli was the better QB tonight period, get over it, Brady had his run 10 years ago, it's over for him being special, no one fears him anymore.

I was glad to see them give the Giants the TD and then hear them say BB wanted to give the best QB in football the ball, well it might have worked 10 years ago but now its Eli's time.

Beat him in 2 Superbowls and earlier this season.

Nice win by the GMEN, be a man and take the loss with a little pride, you got beat by the better team.

There was some luck on our side for real, those 2 fumbles had me going crazy. Wes Welker dropping that wide open pass was our saving grace because if he caught that, Patriots would have won it. MM82 made a spectacular catch on the sideline, play of the game. Game wasn't all luck, it was just Giant football.

He is still talking about the interception that wasn't from 07

Great teams make great plays for their team in the clutch... Welker did not. MM did
Samuel did not. Tyree did

harrycarson

even if Welk catches that ball we still have the ball last and they more than likely are kicking a feld goal anyway

romohater
02-06-2012, 01:12 AM
Yeah I was in shock after that play. It seems like if Welker just kept going he could've coaught it out in front...in stride...and been gone. Why he spun and got turned around like that, we'll prob never know, but who gives a F...there were a lot of big plays that you can say decided the game. Bottom line is THE GIANTS made them and the pats did not. Ball game. End of story.

Or what if Lee Evans didn't drop a pass and Cundiff didn't shank a 26 Yard FG. Luck factored there too.

what about the fumbles bouncing right for the 49ers against the saints? what about the packers turnover margin last season. face it, turnovers are a part of the game, how come the giants plays are only lucky and everyone elses are skill?

listen that drop by wes was a huge break , we would have lost no question abouts it. instead of punting it with 3 min left the giants only had 1 timeout New englands has the lead and a first down can run the clock down and win simply as that. I will gladly take the W tho

It wasn't Luck. I'll explain why...
First even though we didn't get many sacks we were pressuring Brady all night he didn't feel confident holding the ball look at the throw it wasn't accurate Welker would have had to make a really difficult catch to bring it in...
Which brings me to my second point. The patriots are 0-13 on passes over 20 yards in their last 2 superbowls. They don't throw down the field their offense doesn't work that way... I'm not surprised one bit that he didn't make that catch...

Agree with that. Even before Eli came into his own the last few years, he always threw a better long ball than Brady - case in point the throw to MM, threading a needle. He is also more mentally and physically tough. Those were the difference makers this season.
