3 punts inside the 10 yard line.... And that one punt led to safety. He had one punt that landed on the 7 yard line and took a hard bounce into endzone. It could have been 4 punts inside 10 yard line if it took better hop.

Weatherford had a great game.

I heard Weatherford today. They asked him that "does it feel that you should take credit for the safety?". He said "Yea. It was like an assist from stockton to malone." He is right. Safety play was huge.

Yep, Weatherford was great. And he had a great game against the 49ers, too, with 12 punts for 557 yards (46.4 average) and that nice recovery on the long snap that skimmed the grass on the game-wining field goal.

Yea. Weatherford made a great recovery on that bad snap in the 49ers game. He was amazing this year. Jets are kicking themselves. Power and precision.

The best Free Agent pick up. Glad we could lead him to the promised land unlike that other NY team.

Why did they cut him anyway? I didnt think he played poorly with the Jets. Glad we jumped on signing him, last year with Dodge was unbearable.

Not sure but I know the special teams coach and Weatherford hated each other. He was talking trash about Weatherford earlier this year.

He didnt have great a great postseason performance (for the Jets).... and then the "special teams genius" Westhoff decided to trash him in the press after.... </P>

I guess I'm an old fart. I was gonna say it reminded me of Landeta with those old "coffin corner" punts :)
