what to expect from these guys next year?

Austin - he has a lot to prove. He hasn't played ball for two years and you know the Giants are going to draft a DT in this draft to put the heat on him.

Beatty - Not a believer in this kid. He cant stay healthy and he doesn't seem to have the nasty demeanor that Giants O-Line typically has.

Herlich - I expect him to take some time learning and getting stronger. He is still not the player we was at BC and maybe he will never be. But, I do feel that he will be back next year and will provide some solid LB depth.

Prince - I like what I see from this kid. This year was tough for him with the injury and down the stretch, he proved that has the ability to be a great player, just needs reps.

Jernigen - Along the same lines with Prince, The kid needs reps. If Manningham departs that may give him a shot to have a bigger role in the offense. Jury is still out.

Beatty cant stay healthy? He had a complete fluke injury. He played much better than Diehl at LT.

Fluke or not...is it still an injury?

Sammy Sosa threw his back out sneezing. Fluke? yes. But, still an injury.

Prince has got burned a couple times during the season (lack of practice, just came back from injury)

His coverage in the postseason however was very solid. Sort of like Ross in Supe 42.

Beatty is solid. He still have to get some experience under his belt but he was surprisingly good this year.

Petrus did a good job also.

These guys were pressed into action and performed really well.

having a fluke injury once doesnt mean you are unable to stay healthy.

Really none of his injuries are related to conditioning or anything like that. He broke a bone in his foot and had a detached retina.

Prince's anticipation and tackle yesterday showed he's become much more confident and comfortable in this system.

He knew where the ball was going, drove on it, and drilled Hernandez. Outstanding to see that type of play from a rookie who really had a tough stretch when he came back.

He'll be starting next year, most likely.

It doesn't matter if they were/weren't due to conditioning or football. They are still injuries that prevented him from being on the field. The kid is a ginger and needs to prove that he can stay healthy and put together a full season. Giants wont wait around for him, with the way Eli is playing. They need to win now and continue to put reliable pieces around Manning.

I'm from Red Sox country and no one wasmore of a ginger than JD (Nancy) Drew. Great talent, but couldnt stay on the field.

Earlier this year he scared the hell out of me. He seemed very uncomfortable with returning kicks and maybe even scared but he did well in the Superbowl. I wouldn't mind seeing more of him on returns.

I didn't even see Prince playing in the SB. Did he play?

Yes!!!!! He played. The fact that you didn't know he played if proof enough that he did good.

Um i dont mean to be rude - but they not only did a close up of Prince they talked about him for a couple minutes - what game were you guys watching.

He came in for rolle - he also played for ross a bit. They talked about him several times.

He had limited snaps and played fine in his limited time including a nice hit on hernandez.

As far as Austin goes he is very young and as long as he works out and symtays in shape he shoild be up to speed by the end of the pre season. With his speed and power they could have an even better pass rush next year.

I'm really excited to see Prince take the field next year with a full summer of training and pre season. He showed flashes this post season.

JJ looked good yesterday in the biggest game of the season.

Herzlich was making progress until he was injured. I think he still has a chance to make a difference.

The scary thing about this coming season is that we basically have 3 first round draft picks.

Prince was all but lost for the season, Austin is a 1st round talent, and of course we have the 32nd pick in April. There is some very good young talent on this team.

If Marvin Austin stayed in shape (no reason he couldn't run on a treadmill everyday) and keeps his conditioning up, I think he'll be very effective next season. Especially since he'll be single covered since Tuck and JPP will command double teams.

Beatty was doing a good job in his 1st full time season until the eye injury. Of course he had trouble at times, but was a better option then Diehl. Give him a helmet so people can't go after his eye, and he'll be good.

I like Herzlich. I think if Kiwi goes back to the line, it will be either him or Williams getting the nod at LB.

Prince will probably replace Ross. Yeah he looked like crap, but missing half the season with a broken foot and not having practice time really took a toll on him. He got better in limited time in the playoffs.
