View Full Version : Did Tuck cause a concussion when he sacked Brady?

There was a lot of discussion about the shoulder injury Tuck aggravated when he sacked Brady. But there is a possibility that he was concussed on the play:

Tuck's knee slams into Brady's helmet during the sack

Here's Brady trying to pull off phantom clumps of grass off of his helmet. I think he thought he was playing on the grass field of Gillette Stadium and not the FieldTurf covered Lucas Oil Stadium.

Brady's performance dropped off considerably after that sack. His passer rating was almost 144 before the sack and then 35 afterwards, including a poorly conceived bomb to Gronkowski that was thrown up for grabs.

It was also reported that he sat staring at the wall in the locker room with a towel over his head until everyone cleared out.

It could have been the shoulder or the pressure, but I wonder if it was a concussion.

If its a major concussion, Brady should consider retiring if the symptom doesn't get better.

brady doesnt like eli, but he hates tuck.

this is a good point, he could have been concussed. something happened to him imo. our d def. stepped it up, but i also think brady got the jitters and nervous.

some analysts were saying brady wasn't keeping his eyes downfield and he was continually looking at the pass rush.

his head does bounce off the turf and tucks knee also delivered a pretty big shot to his head as well.

but his shoulder also takes the brunt of the impact and tucks weight and tuck just fell on top of him.

tuck played excellent. if we can get that guy for a whole season, along with jpp, and either osi/kiwi...our pass rush will be as good as it was the final 6 games all season.

wouldnt surprise me if we draft a de now in the earlier rounds.

I was yelling the whole game up to this point that if "we" didn`t get to Brady like this,we were going to lose.

This play was definitely a turning point.

I think the left shoulder may have been hurt. It is the left shoulder so it shouldn't effect his throwing.
