Sad. I love Peyton.

While i think the manning brothers are ultra competitive i really dont believe they would wanna play in the same division. And while Snyder would pay him - i just don't see him coming to the east.

My guess is Miami or Arizona - warmer weather - nice receivers in Fitz and Marshall.

I think the jets and the nfc east is not an option .

Call me crazy but I think the Colts cut Peyton thus negating his contract and then resigning an incentive laden contract with the Colts thus enabling the Colts to draft Luck and keep Peyton. I think that's why Peyton said this recently.

This gives the Colts some protection and another option if his recovery doesn't work out.

PS. No way Peyton plays in the same division as Eli. Not going to happen.

Enjoy Rexxy Rex. That is if you do not get a QB in the draft this year.

If Peyton signs with the Redskins (or Jets for that matter) I bet he gets hurt again and retires. Those two teams just have too much bad luck for anything else to happen.

Also, these pictures are very well drawn. Someone took a lot of time doing this. Clearly, they are very desperate to get Peyton. That's just sad.

I say bring it on. I *want* to see Peyton in the NFC east, so that eli can 2-0 him head-to-head and shut up the haters once and for all. I have nothing against the man himself, if anything Peyton is one of Eli's biggest fans. It's the ****bags in the media that swoon at the very mention of Peyton and refuse to think of Eli as anything but Elite that I hate.

It will never happen for 2 reasons:

(1) Peyton will not go to a loser organization, which the Redskins and Jets define.

(2) Peyton will not be looking to cause a circus re: his brother, definitely won't play him head-to-head twice a season, so no Jets and no NFC East.

Sorry, keep dreaming for the quick fix.

I'd be cool with it.

Peyton has done a lot of good for this league. He deserves to finish out his career by getting paid substantially by a lower tier franchise.

Most of the best of them have done so before him so it wouldn't be blazing any new trails.

Agreed. The redskins are not a good fit. The Jets would be horrible. If I were the Colts, I would make it work with Manning. I think that they are treating him with disrespect. I hope he finds a good team and makes it to the playoffs and kills the Colts.

I'd hold a private memorial for the career of Peyton Manning. Because going to the Redskins is basically career suicide.

It would be a sad day for the Manning family to be associated with such a loser organization.

If Peyton plays for another team it would be Miami, Arizona, or Seattle.

No way is Jim Harbaugh not sticking with Alex Smith. The guy turned into a beast this year.

If Peyton Manning goes anywhere it will probably be Arizona or Washington DC.

I hope Peyton doesn't go to the Redskins like Deion, Haynesworth, etc. Peyton deserves a dignified end to his career.

Peyton pukes on himself in the clutch too... not as bad as Romo does, but he still does it.

I see him going to the Cards. Weak division (minus the 49ers), throwing to Fitz, good weather stadium.

I agree but i see him sticking in the AFC . The NFC has to many great teams . I think the Raiders would be perfect for him. Very weak divison , great running game , speedy young recievers , great kicker , defense would be better and besides the Pats , Texans , and maybe Pitt and one suprise team not much else . Where as the NFC . giants , eagles , dallas , lions , falcons , 49ers , packers , saints , bears and one suprise team

Peyton will be tossing up TD's all season long to Larry Fitzgerald out in Arizona, that is the only place that makes sense for him, not the deadskins, no recievers, not the Jets, have the talent but don't think he wants to be part of Rex's madhouse.

Peyton Manning (http://www.latimes.com/topic/sports/football/peyton-manning-PESPT004609.topic) doesn't want to play for the Washington Redskins (http://www.latimes.com/topic/sports/football/washington-redskins-ORSPT000226.topic) and has informed the franchise of that, according to a report by Chris Russell of ESPN (http://www.latimes.com/topic/sports/espn-%28tv-network%29-HOC792.topic) 980 Washington.</p>

"A
couple of different sources inside the organization have told me that
Manning's camp made it pretty clear to Redskins officials that he
doesn't want to come here," Russell said, according to
ProFootballTalk.com. "There's lots of reasons for that. His brother,
Eli, the colder weather, the whole situation down in Miami and so on and
so forth. But unless that changes -- and I'm taking my sources at their
word -- I don't think Manning's coming here to D.C."</p>

There has been speculation that Manning and Redskins Coach Mike Shanahan (http://www.latimes.com/topic/sports/football/mike-shanahan-PESPT00008938.topic) might not be a good fit.</p>

There's also this: Manning might not fit the pattern of Redskins owner Dan Snyder (http://www.latimes.com/topic/sports/dan-snyder-PESPT006876.topic), who has a habit of collecting aging stars who had spectacular careers in other cities.</p>

Why's that?</p>

Because, unlike previous Snyder acquisitions, Manning actually appears to have something left in the tank.</p>
