Rodgers might not of been a pick 6 because we couldn't get into the end zone but Eli got us in there... so same thing.

I know not many people are bashing Eli for this game but I've seen a handful of people already mentioning it.

It's actually quite the opposite...sometimes it's seems like Eli is wasting his talent/years being here...he's being held back with outcomes like this.

Yeah but Green Bay is undefeated and the Giants at the time where riding a 3 game losing streak. You can not make that throw against that team in that situation.

What it did was it took away some of their swagger. He looked rattled until the second half. Afte that pick he threw some very close to being intercepted passes and they had a bunch of 3 and outs.

He was good today but it's more than the points from that pick. It's the funk he was in after.

The difference is that it was what, Rodgers' 5th of the season or so?

For whatever reason it seems Eli is always graded differently than other QB's. Giants fans (and some of his receivers) expect every throw of Eli's to be perfect, then scream when its not. Yet he's having his best year so far and its still not good enough nor will he ever be.

I still can't blame this game on Eli.....he threw some bad passes...but he kept us in it as well....the D can't get off the field on 3rd down...thats the problem...no matter who we play not just the pack...they can't stop 3rd downs.

I think you have a fair point.

Put Eli on a team with a Defense and he's in the SB year-in and year-out.

You haven't figured that out yet? My goodness where have you been? It all started with the draft. Eli was suppose to be a charger & we gave the chargers a dynasty by trading up to get Eli. The chargers went on to win 5 SBs while the Giants haven't done jack squat.

Some folks on this board will never forget that. He sux & he will always will by some of the posters on this board.

End of story.

and had the D held them on that last drive....I dont think we would be having this convo if we won the toss in OT.

What does that have to do with the price of tea in China?

It has to do with the fact that for Aaron Rodgers, INTs are occasional. For Eli they are habitual. Dude needs to get smarter.

See I don't understand some people.

Without Eli as the QB this game we get blown the **** out. Nobody can stand toe to toe with Rodgers... well guess what? Eli just did.

It's a team sport people. Eli played well but threw a bad. All and was in a funk for the rest of the half. The defense didn't give up 7 on the pick and where robbed on that bad ref replay for that TD. Y Green Bay. Yeah they came up short at the end, but why does every game have to be that close? Why could offense not have had a 10 point lead? The defense did force them to punt. The offense also had a bunch of 3 and outs against a really bad defense. Eli should be taking advantage of a poor defense.

How many did Rodgers throw this game?

What does it matter what Eli did last week or two weeks ago on the outcome of this game? And this is what this thread is about. This game. And this game only. Of course, some people just look for reasons to **** on Eli.

And to say that Rodgers' season as far as picks are concerned should be considered the benchmark of what should be considered normal is ridiculous. He is having an exceptional year in that regard. Definitely an outlier.

Seriously I knew right when Eli was getting rid of the ball that it was going to be a pick. It was a bad throw that shouldn't have been made obv but....

He also made some great throws today as well. And I mean GREAT throws. The one he threw to Nicks in between two defenders that hit him in the hands but was broken up was just a ridiculous pass. He threw into some very tight windows on a few occasions. I was pretty impressed by his performance today.

Not hating on Eli, I think he's a great QB. The free points he gave GB were more than the margin of victory though. When you play the best team in the NFL you need to be perfect to beat them.

Say what you will about the Packers' defense, but prior to today they were giving up 20 points per game. Today, the Giants scored 35. The defense was good, but so many of you want to focus on things like how the Giants can't go 3 and out on that second to last drive. How about saying the defense can't allow the Packers to go 60 yards on 3 plays in less than a minute to give their kicker a chip shot game winning field goal attempt.

I dont understand this thread, but the poster i know is a hardcore homer. So he thinks its ok for Eli to throw a pick 6 because Rodgers threw an interception. Rodgers and the Packers were 11-0 while Eli is fighting for a playoff spot this was almost a must win game....now with the loss there is NO margin for error. The pick 6 hurt us because we are playing against an explosive offense with a depleted secondary and u want to give them free points? This offense needed to send a statement to the Packers early...if we could of gone up early...maybe the Packers would of benched Rodgers from taking soo many hits. We need our offense to pour on the points early especailly with AJ Hawk and Bishop not playing..

agree 100%.

This team doesn't deserve Eli to be their QB.
