If not for the Phantom Holding call on Kevin Boothe the Giants would have kept momentum and probable would have scored a TD the way they were moving the Ball. If Mario Manningham had not faded on the route and missed the earlier over the shoulder pass the Giants would have been in scoring position again. So stop making excuses, it makes you look worse than you all ready do. The better team with the better quarterback won that game.

And at THIS point in their respective careers -- yes, Eli is definitely the better QB. And I'm not knocking Brady.

However, we overlook the fact that he was wide open and Tom made a not so good throw. Watching it on dvd slow mo if he had throwing it to his inside and Welker had caught it in stride, we we be watching a parade in a different state now. It is not an excuse, its just part of the game. Glad that it did not work because our defense was nowhere near him. Just wondering how you can let a player like that run free.

When their teams absolutely needed a tough catch in the 4th quarter, Mario came up with it and Welker didn't. No "IFs" in sports...

However, let's not forget that Brady has 4 more years of experience than Eli and Eli has beaten him twice in a big game. This year, in the playoffs Eli has performed much better than Brady. Man, that throw to Manningham was insane. Very tight Cover 2 coverage and he threads the needle. Plus Mario made an insane catch. I did not see Brady making these kind of throws.

The excuses in the original post are to counter the excuses that you and others are making so I think you picked the wrong thread to comment on. Te better team won that day. No excuses allowed.

When you are in a generation of P.C. whiners who would prefer if Defense's only play touch football and a man and testosterone is bad.

its brutal.

Because welker is a good player with great hands, if he drops one he's unlucky. Therefore, they didn't lose becausethey're not good enough, they lost becausewe're luckier than them.

good way to feel good about players who can't rise up to the challenge when it counts.

There's also the non-interference call on Manningham, which killed a drive.

But the best response is that the Patsies wouldn't have even been in the SB had not the Ravens missed a chip shot fileld goal. Case closed.

Or the Td pass in the endzone that was broken up.

I've been going with "**** you loser", but I am always open to new ideas.

It's been effective thus far
