He won't be on the boards for our second round pick and I don't see us going WR with our first round pick with Nicks and Cruz on the team.

He is a neat talent (potentially better than Nicks even) and I wouldn't be surprised to see him wind up in Tampa as the Bucs' second pick.

I don't think the Giants will use a 1st or 2nd round pick on a WR.

Sanu is the 35th ranked player and suppose to go in 1st or 2nd round.

As a guy who has watched him in every game of his college career, I can say he is definitely an intriguing talent...and it did cross my mind that it would be cool to see him in blue. WR is far from the Giants main concern though, and he definitely won't be on the board by the time it makes sense for them to pick a WR.

Speaking of Rutgers WRs, what ever happened to Tim Brown?

Why would you want another WR that high in the draft? He is probably going to be a first round pick and for the Giants to take a WR in the first round makes no sense.

Not sure...idiot had to guess, either a free agent or on a practice squad somewhere. Wasn't he on the Giants' practice squad at some point??

dude is an absolute beast. physical, fast as ****.

i'd say a nicks clone is a fair comparison although i think sanu might be faster, guy can straight ball.

Nicks (6'1") runs a 4.51 and Sanu (6'2") runs a 4.57.

You guys are neglecting the fact that JR selects the "Best Player Available" if he is; at that spot, why wouldnt he?

oh my bad thanks for clarifying.

to those saying no way we'd take a wr, well we are losing MM, and Sanu looks more of a sure thing than JJ, Barden, Thomas, or Clayton so it could happen but I doubt it.

I think Fleener would make more sense, good blocker, excellent speed, excellent route runner, and good in the middle of the field so he'd make sense if we lose MM

Sanu is the 4th ranked WR and #35 ranked player.

It isn't like he is the 2nd ranked WR and is available at 32nd spot. The "BPA" players are ranked ahead of him and would still be available. If he is available in the 2nd round for Giants which is highly unlikely, then the Giants may take the chance on him especially if they lose Manningham.

Well, I dont think we need another WR with the #1 pick, but, to play devils advocate, we are a passing team now and are most likely losing Manningham. With receivers like Beckum, Ballard, Barden and Jernigan all either injuried or just not ready, a 3rd WR will be needed to take Rio's spot. CAn we find one later in the draft? Sure. But it would be easier to hit in the 1st. There will be solid WRs 1st to mid 2nd coming off the boards, not sure in to the late 2nd.

These 6 most likely will be gone by our 2nd round pick.

You guys are neglecting the fact that JR selects the "Best Player Available" if he is; at that spot, why wouldnt he?

Because we don't.

Or rather ... BPA is different to different people.

I think our 3rd WR spot will be a contest between Jernigan and a free agent TBD.

Juron Criner. I'm really high on this guy. Huge hands, big body and was a constant deep threat for Arizona.

There's already a thread for that. At the very least lets keep this one about wide receivers, a position that unlike the TE's, has good depth in this draft.

He won't be on the boards for our second round pick and I don't see us going WR with our first round pick with Nicks and Cruz on the team.

He is a neat talent (potentially better than Nicks even) and I wouldn't be surprised to see him wind up in Tampa as the Bucs' second pick.
I would NOT be shocked at all if the Giants picked a WR in the 1st, if he was BPA. We're losing MM and we all saw how awesome our passing game was with a triple WR threat. And a WR early in the draft especially since our TE corp was decimated and I can't see us drafting a TE in the early rounds.

It may even provide some insurance against possibly losing Nicks or Cruz next year. It would actually be a wise move.

He was pretty impressive at the Senior Bowl. Him and Criner looked the best.

Also, BJ Cunningham was a standout at the E-W Shrine game. Michigan State and seems to have a very level head. Good size but speed is a question that will be addressed at the combine.

I agree, I wouldn't be SHOCKED if they went WR first round but I don't think they will.

And just as you pointed out, our TEs got decimated and BPA when we pick most likely will be a TE.

I think Sanu is literally a flawless fit for our offense. He's great at getting open in the zones, and has a complete route tree. It would be like having two Hakeem Nicks' on the field at the same time

I could see KG lobbying to get him with our #1 pick and waiting until the 4th or 5th round for a Tight End (thinking Ladarius Green in the 4th then).

These are the 2 guys I've had on my mocks. Adams and Cunningham that is. Adams if we go early in the draft and Cunningham if we go WR later in the draft. Would LOVE to have Joe Adams but I'm not sure we go WR early enough to get him.

TOTALLY agree on Sanu. Dude is going to be sick.

I'd like to see us go after Egnew if we don't get Fleener or Allen. Great hands, great speed and quickness and gets separation. He was a WR in high school and a long jumper/track and field athlete. He's got incredible body control and can really get up for a ball and he's great after the catch. Just an overall great athlete but will also try and plow tacklers... does need to improve in his blocking though because of the spread system he played in... I think it would be easy to improve his blocking though. If he haven't seen much or read much on him you should check him out. I've seen a few games and he stood out.

I can actually see him going in the 2nd round to Tampa and playing for his college coach.

If he was BPA at the 32nd pick I could see him being picked. They are most likely going to lose MM.

I'm an RU fan do I've watched him and he is good. Very physical with good hands. Not blazing fast, but fast enough.

Look for the catch he made against UNC this past season.

Didn't think about that.

I watched a highlight video on him last night. I forgot to mention how he likes to lay people out when he blocks. I believe he was recruited as a Safety so he when he gets the chance on offense to hit someone he does.
