So outside of one good season @11-5, he was 25-39. Thats the best coach of all time. 36-41 in his first five years.
    he proved he can win.

BB and Carroll are the exception to the rule
    These guys were perpetual losers
    and are the rule.
    Chip Kelly (28-35)
    Buddy Ryan (55-55-1)
    Rex Ryan (61-66)
    Rich Kotite (40-56)
    Eric Mangini (33-47)
    Chan Gailey (34-46)
    Dom Capers (48-80)
    Jim Haslett (47-61)
    Jim Mora (32-34)
    Romeo Crennel (28-55)
    Joe Bugel (24-56)
    Bruce Coslet (47-77)

Rex and Buddy are clowns and made the list because of that.

At what point should he stop getting chances?
But his defenses have been doing reasonably well. With the right personnel in Denver, his defense was great. On a worse rosetr in Chicago, they were good to average.

Looks like Shurmur is gonna be the guy.
Not sure how to really feel. Cleveland is terrible and has been for years. He has really been a QB whisperer everywhere hes went and he will need to develop a rookie or Davis Webb here. He better lure a strong staff with him.

If this happens, he damn sure better hire an OC this time.

He hasn't been a DC since he was here. That was a long time ago.

a Head coach coordinates all facets of a team..... Do you think belichick has no hand in defensive schemes? The HC gameplans with his coordinators and a lot of times, the coordinators are implementing HIS system.

McAdoo was clearly the OC when he was our HC. Unless the coach has a coordinator that has been with him for a long time like belichick has, then the coach has more input than you think.
