Look at the first chart, many of the wrs with the better stats are in the teens
I'm looking at these charts as well.

Nicks looks good - about where Manning seems to come up in most QB rankings - but certainly not best in the league nor far and away better than anyone else.

      What am I missing here?

Tell me more about Nicks being comparable.

Beckham is the only WR to come close to Moss since his 1998-2000 seasons
The article was referring to Nicks' age and who accomplished more by the same age and it was only Moss. I wish I could find the article, but I don't have the time to search more than I have already.

I'm not sure what this means they were both 21 when they got drafted... I'm not sure why age would matter over year for year production...idk

As I said I don't recall specifically, but it was something like more yards and TDs by 22 than any receiver in history except Moss. Dezzz remembers the article, it was from several years ago before his decline.

I'm not doubting you saw something....but I'm pretty sure you saw it wrong.

All the parallels were drawn between Beckham and Moss. Within a 2 year span, their careers are nearly identical, production wise, statistically, everything....

Nicks had an "ok" rookie year. We didn't have super high expectations of him or anything, so he was productive for a rookie. But I mean....no way. Moss was one of the greatest rookies of all time, and greatest WRs of all time. There's no comparison to draw between he and Nicks other than they both played WR for professional football teams.

Idk man.....I mean, statistically he was a good WR playing on a good team for a few years. And I know the value he brought to the offense. When healthy, he was extremely reliable.
But, I mean....that's where my praise of him stops, minus me being partial to him specifically for being a Giant.

His most telling stat was usually YAC, which I always agreed he excelled at.

I did not, Beckham has nothing to do with it he wasn't even getting playing time at LSU when the article was written.

I didnt/dont believe there was a "decent list" of Wrs better than Nicks, only a hand full put up better stats.

I recognize Nicks' ability to stretch a play out. his YAC was awesome.....but he was a good WR on a good team. and look at all the WRs above him who played on bad teams, with bad QBs and tell me about how elite Nicks was. You guys just can't take your nostalgia goggles off, and it's gross.
It's the same reason Dezz is always on TC's ballsack. Because he can't let go, and loves "ok-ness"
Youre doing it again. "we had a good offense, Dezz loves TC and okness."
Which are we? We werent that good of a football team in 10/11

Yeah, like I said. Like Manning, he was top ten but not top 3

I'm saying that a good WR on an already good team, doesn't make that WR great...it makes him good or ok. wtf are we arguing semantics for? Either way you're wrong, so it doesn't matter.

You think that only a few people had better stats (which who cares about stats), when shows you didn't read anyway, because there's like 15 people with better stats on both those lists. So again....you have no actual argument. Just your opinion of a player who we liked. It just makes you a homer...doesn't make you correct.

Yea...I mean, even in HIS best year, he was floating around the top 5. The same cannot be said about Nicks, at all....not even cracking top 10 at any point in his short career.
